It is a bit out of the city but in return you’ll get an empty beach and a beautiful stay. Herr Ziegler and his family and crew are always ready to help and make the most wonderful meals. 10/10 would recommend.

Exceptional Service”
First of all, I am extremely grateful to Hans the proprietor. He got us out of a tricky situation. We got threatened by a driver we had booked in advance before arriving to Sri Lanka as we found out he was overcharging us by at least 15 USD a day and we canceled. We told Hans, who helped us in this tricky situation by providing us as an alternative driver cum tour guide Mr. Mohan who was extremely knowledgeable, well mannered and well educated. This really made our trip a great success. The service was excellent, the food was great. The rooms were clean and spacious and also there was a nice swimming pool at an affordable price. Recommending this hotel is a no-brainer; as the owner really takes excellent care of their guest.

A little far away from downtown. But the boss (Hans) is very nice and enthusiasm. Not only provide excellent service but also warmly helping us to solve the problem after leaving the hotel. I believe Hans is one of the most important reason you choose this hotel. It is a pity that during my stay, swimming pool is under construction. Next time i will still choose this hotel and stay more days. Thanks Hans.

Nice place to calm down”
We stayed here a few nights after the long flfight to Sri Lanka. It's a quiet place to relax and accommodate to the time zone and climate. Stuff is very friendly and helpful - they were very nice to our children. Food is ok. Currently, this hotel is extended - that's why there is on-going some construction work - but to be honest it didn't bother us. Room are dated but very clean (as everything there). Bathroom could be larger - especially for families. New fly screens would be good.

We stayed only one night as we had an early flight in the morning. Hans was very welcoming and did everything to make us feel comfortable right away. The rooms are perfect and the food excellent. He arranged a driver to take us to the airport who was very professional. The entire staff were very attentive and did everything to make our stay perfect.

It's close to the airport and such a lovely little place, it's so nice and clean with lovely rooms which overlook the beach and a cute garden area where you can go and relax. Stayed here for a night when we landed at Colombo. There was prompt pick up at the airport by the hotel folks. It's a small but friendly and comfortable home stay. The balcony was a nice addition in our room, although it was with a view facing the road. My husband and I were celebrating and had requested for a cake through email which was promptly offered when we checked in. Thanks for the service. Breakfast was small, but delicious. Good value for money and amazing hospitality.

Cosy, clean, friendly and family friendly”
We stayed here in November and unfortunately did not have a good start due to the very late pick up. Which is not the owner's fault but it marred our first impression. However, once we checked in, the owner did his best to make it up. Hans is an honest and helpful guy. We still recommend this place for a short stay. It looks ideal for a family as they have ground for kids to romp around.

The location is nice near the beach and the pool is nice, but missed a warm welcoming atmosphere. Maybe my expectations were too high after reading the good recommendations. Had a backpackers guesthouse feeling in stead of B&B feeling.
