Not what I thought I was getting”
We arrived after booking online through Agoda. The front receptionist had a lot of trouble locating our booking and could not believe we had booked ourselves online, it took a couple of staff our taxi driver our ipad translator and another guest for us to be booked in which is not what we needed after an overnight train trip. Most of the staff were helpful during our stay but the language barrier made it difficult, the translator app was invaluable. There was one staff member who was extremely rude and refused to interact with us on severeal occasions. Thenhotel had a lot of restaurants and cafe's advertised but we could not see them open or being used at any time. Our room was supposed to have a washing machine, a huge selling point for me as we are Travelling for a while but when I arrived there was no machine and staff told me there were no laundry services at the hotel as they were redecorating? not sure if this we a translation error or not but did not see any redecorating but the end result for us was hand washing in the bathroom. The hotel pool was empty dirty and overgrown and the location of then hotel was too far away to walk anywhere, there were no resturants nrby that we knew of so ate at the hotel. The travel agent staff member was very helpful but did not speak English and kept writing me notes on Chinese which was hilarious. He did procure us a guide but that was not as good as we expected either and he did not take us to everywhere we had discussed and There were a lot of hidden costs which made it rather expensive. Zhangjiajie is an amazing place but I would not stay at this hotel again. It was not the same as its advertisement on Agoda and too far from anywhere.

酒店的外景不错,但房间的内在条件很差,房间小,家具旧,电视机还是老式的,色差很厉害;从酒店的硬件看,顶多2星。服务员的服务态度也很冷淡，对网络订房的形式似乎很陌生，开房时还要再次收钱，我说已经在网上转过账了，又要打电话左问右问，第二天早上离开时，让她开发票，却说还要看到没到账。我说到没账是她的事，我的钱已经付了。。。各种磨迹之后再才开票

暑假和老婆一起住了豪华大床房，卫生还行，江景房，价格不是很贵。早餐一般，本来以为有黄油面包的，结果只有酸辣粉和馒头，味道还不错。张家界不大，旅游的话够用了。
