The location was really nice, you can walk around 10-15 minutes to Yamagata station or there’s bus options to there! The bus stop is really near and there’s a lot of convenience stores around the area. Really recommend this place for friend groups.

English speaking friendly and attentive receptionist. Very large room with space for luggages if compare with some other hotels in Japan. Suitable to stay in especially for family with kids. Nearby with convenience shop, local shops such as 100yen, Muji and so on. One thing is the location is slightly far from Yamagata station if compare with other hotels. Somehow you can always ask from the receptionist to help booking for taxi with only 800yen+ to the train station. Overall a good and nice hotel, highly recommended!

I stayed here on my business trip. A bed was very comfortable for my sleep. This hotel is located far from Yamagata station. It is about 15-20 minutes on foot but you can find some shops around here. A vending machine on the 5th floor in the hotel has alcohols. Grand hotel is grand, it has high ceiling especially in the reception floor. Breakfast is served at the restaurant on the 1st floor. You need pay for it in advance.

Reservation staffs were friendly & helpful as we used Yamagata City as our base to explore nearby cities & attractions. The rooms were clean, spacious & not smelly & the hotel lobby looked recently renovated. The hotel is about a 15 minutes walk from the Shinkansen/JR train station & is a couple minutes away from a bus stop to the train station. There were restaurants, department stores, mini markets & grocery stores between the hotel & the train station so it was an excellent value for us staying here.

Far from station ”
Stayed two nights but be careful - this hotel is a 15min walk from the station which is not ideal when you have luggage and it’s snowing! Room could do with updating - mattress is incredibly springy and the pillows are uncomfortable. Would not stay for more than a couple of nights

The room we have is pretty old (with cracks from earthquakes i guess and yellowish interiors. The air purifier was also there but with no water that’s why we weren’t able to sleep well since the air is so stuffy (realized it late). However, pretty ok staff and clean. Just maybe a pretty old hotel that needs renovation.

This is probably the biggest room I've ever seen in a hotel in Japan (considering I paid the rate of a budget hotel). Hotel is a bit of a walk from Yamagata station but it is near a mall and some food places so I'd say it's a convenient spot once you have arrived. Everything would have been great if not for the pillow that felt like a sack of rice.

The location was quite far from Yamagata station, but it was a very good stay. The room was super spacious, clean and various facilities were provided like microwave, vending machine and laundry services were provided on one of the floors. Definitely a worthy stay!

It is a short bus ride away from Yamagata Station. The location is excellent, close to all the sights. The hotel is situated on one of the main streets. Lots of small shops and restaurants nearby.
