Comfortable, accessible, safe”
Always love Beijing for tasting all the best of Chinese cuisine, and all that culture. Xinhai Jinjiang made this trip better with our wonderful, spacious room and its king sized-bed, clean bathroom, easy access to the internet (there's a computer in the room) and that quaint hotel restaurant at the lobby and their sweet staff. Located on a big road very, very near shopping centers. A 10-minute drive away from Hou Hai if you're looking for some night life.

Greatly Impressed”
I stayed at this hotel for 4days 3 nights. I had a very pleasant experience. The manager was very helpful in arranging for an early check-in. The location is excellent. It is walking distance to Wangfujing St.(shopping/food-all kinds).Tianamen and Forbidden City are both walking distance but it is a bit of a walk. As a 1st timer in Beijing I really didn't mind walking. The hotel room (#907)is great with full amenities albeit without a tub. It has all the extras like toothbrush, shavers, slippers, robes. It is pretty amazing for the price actually. The hotel swimming pool and jacuzzi are amazing! They have wet and dry sauna as well. The buffet breakfast is good. As all in China, communication can be quite difficult. In this hotel it is the phone operator that has the biggest problem. The bellboys are all neat and in theri spiffy uniform, communication is not bad wither.

Going the extra mile”
I would recommedn the hotel because the price and the staff and location are excellent. The location is excellent for teinamen square and forbidden city and the famous shoppoing street (don't expect to find bars and restaurants on shopping street because its really all about shopping unless you want chinese street food)and in fact there were local convenience and wine stores within a block's distance. English of the staff is very poor but was slightly manageable.Food at the hotel is way too expensive and only hotel restaurants in the area so hard to avoid the cost. Nice hotels close by to lounge in with the baby. Starbuck was a 5 minute walk. Where the hotel shined was in accomodating us. Our 10 month old developed a 40C (104F) fever the second day we were there. The hotel was on the phone to a manager to assist us in finding a hospital and opened the business office at 11pm so we could fax hospital docs to our pediatrition in back home in Singapore. They always did what they could to help and there was never an instant that we walked away from the front desk without getting the help we needed despite poor english.

Very helpful staff, service is fantastic.”
I was a solo traveller looking to see the sights and sounds of Beijing. Being fluent in both English and Mandarin, I decided to use English to test the staff's ability to assist me. They generally understood me and managed to give me clear directions in English as well. Service: Absolutely excellent. From getting the elevator for you in advance when they see you walking to the lobby from 20m away, to helping you with baggage politely without being overly enthusiastic about it (unlike in Bangkok). Giving suggestions on my itinerary was also a huge plus. All this, in English. For travellers only fluent in English, this hotel will suit your needs. The nearest metro is only a 5-10 min walk away. Wangfujing Street is just a short 20 min stroll (if you are in a rush, the metro is also an option).

Excellent!”
A welll-located, clean, attractive hotel in the heart of Beijing. Near to the Forbidden City and major sights, as well as to a hospital with enough English-speaking staff and internist. Breakfast buffet lavish but expensive; room service menu OK, not lavish, and also overpriced.

Nice hotel, walking distance to Wangfujing St”
Stayed here because it was walking distance to Wangfujing St and close taxi ride to forbidden city etc. We walked to the local subway station. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was overpriced and I would only recommend it if it is free or you are hungry. Turn left and left agin when you exit the hotel and turn left again and 5-10min walk to a nice local coffee shop in an old hutong house. Gloria who runs it speaks english which was helpful for us. Does not open until 10am which is a bummer. The hutongs nearby are alive and bustling during the day. Pool was small but nice, fitness centre was very basic. Everybody smokes so good luck with a non-smoking room! Our stay went well.

Classy hotel and friendly service”
My wife and I had a very pleasant stay. Her purpose was sightseeing; mine included business meetings at the hotel as well. The hotel served both purposes. The tea room was very pleasant for the business discussions; the location convenient to many historic sights including the Forbidden City. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Good value, comfortable stay, great ammenities”
I was pleasantly surprised with JinJiang hotel considering the very reasonable I paid for the room. We checked in late due to flight delay -- hotel had given away our double bed room. To make up for it, they brought in an extra rollaway to compensate and offered to switch us back into a double the following day. We didn't do it because the room size for a king is more than sufficient for us. I like that they stocked the room with fresh towels, toothbrushes, combs, shampoo, shower gels, slippers daily. They also give 2 bottles of water everyday. Only down side is that it was a bit farther from Wafujing than I would've liked. But not so far that it restricted us. All in all, it was an excellent choice at a great rate.

Great location, room, and value!”
The hotel was great! A few short blocks from multiple subway stations, less than two blocks from Wangfujing, and right across the street from Da Dong! We enjoyed our time in Beijing, and this hotel served as the perfect base for our adventures, but also nice enough to stay cozy and comfortable in the evenings.

Great rooms Love the bathroom Nice Location”
the rooms were big and clean and they provided a lot of soft pillows. there was wifi in our room. the bathroom was big and clean (i am very particular about bathrooms). the subway is 2 traffic lights away from the hotel and if you don't feel like walking that far taxi drivers are always in sight because the hotel is on a main and busy street. the major shopping malls with designer brands are all only couple blocks away from this hotel. the staff spoke english. the only thing i didn't like about the hotel was their heater/aircondition. we went during the winter so the heater was mainly on but it got too hot and we tried to adjusting it many times but nothing happened (air condition didn't work). so we always turned the system off and opened the windows to get some cool air inside the room. the female staff were not as knowledgeable and helpful as the male staff. their male staff were superb especially the doormen and the ones who carry your luggage. but the overall staff were friendly and quick in service.

Lovely hotel, great location”
location of this hotel is fantastic, walking distance to subway and lots of major attractions. good lan internet connection that was free. we did not eat at the hotel so i am unable to comment on that. the rooms were very clean and a very good size. several english tv channels. sometimes we had a little difficulty with communication and unfortunately due to our short stay there we ended up booking our tours elsewhere. however staff were always friendly. we got a great flash deal on agoda so for the price we paid we were extremely satisfied with our stay.

Large Rooms and easy with a family of four”
we are a family of four (kids 7 & 10), and stayed in the 1 bedroom suite. the room was very spacious, a huge bed for 3, and then we had (for an additional cost) an additional bed put in. still plenty of room! the kitchen had anything you might need, the fridge was large, and the washer/dryer combo was very useful to wash all our clothes before heading on to beijing. it's a bit farther away from the lake, but we walked most of the time - buses are very full, and taxi's a bit difficult to find at the hotel. the lap pool was a great place for the kids to unwind at the end of the day - and the lifeguard was very friendly! all in all, we'd stay again!

Everything we expected, and more”
there are more "glitzy" hotels in beijing but this one still has enough glitz to please and ends up feeling "classy." the room had nice touches including instant coffee along with the everpresent tea.the staff was so helpful, from trying to help us print our boarding passes, to recommending restaurants near-by. the "bell boy" greeted us when we entered the lobby and spoke very good english. appreciated the non-smoking floors in a smoke-filled country.

we (couple) stayed at the ... hotel from jan.6-15, 2010. the hotel is very well located - within walking distance of the central train station, a subway station is close by. our room was spacious and well furnished as was the bathroom. the staff was well trained, attentive, friendly and helpful, the service was impeccable. we also profited from and enjoyed the pool, hot pool and sauna area. to put it short: we highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel with helpful staff”
I generally loved staying at this hotel, but a couple of issues did lessen the experience, the gym and pool were unavailable for an entire week while I was there and the drink and dinner menu was very limited as well. The immediate area does not have too mnay restaurants altough there are many a fifteen minute walk away, but if you are female and travelling alone, then this is not an easy task when most people do not speak english at all. For a non smoking hotel, plenty of people smoked even in the hallway outside my room in the lounge area.

Good location Chinese character hotel”
The hotel is on the prime area Beijing. It is only 5 minutes walk to Wangfuqing, it is also 5 minutes to subway station and surrunded by many great restaurants. The hotel is a typical Chinese style hotel whereby you will find a huge diffrences compare to western hotels chain. The hotel rate is fair compare to other hotels in wangfuqing area, however, if you expected a normal western 5 stars hotel experience, you would probably dissapointed as it really not looks like 5 stars as the hotel claims, In terms of matress, room size, bath room and etc, it is far away from five stars. Anyway, the rate is fair and you pay what you get!

Very nice hotel in good location. ”
All good & easy to find. Taxi driver had a little problem. Not far from main shopping area. 2 tubes to best eating area. Tour shops on same street. Mostly Chinese so not a great deal of English spoken but enough.
