Simply fantastic”
The biggest problem regarding my stay at the 'Veranda' was I only spent one night. Although there are not a lot of hotels to choose from in Kep nor is there a huge amount to do, it is certainly a place you could place on your itinerary if you are looking to unwind. When you arrive at reception, dont let this lead you to the perception that the Resort is in the 'budget' category. As matter of fact, quite the contrary. The rooms, well where do I start. There are a few different options which obviously vary in price. The room I chose was very decent in size, and that was the main room. There were glass sliding doors that led out to an enclosed outside area housing couches, tables and a fan. The bathroom was one of the most intriguing ones I have come accross. Very interesting design, very difficult to put down in writing but the attached photos hopefully illustrate what I am trying to convey. Breakfast in the restaurant is accompanied by a fantastic view to the coastline. Food at the breakfast serving was very satisfying with a sufficient variety to choose from. The resort has two pools and is surrounded by palms and numerous different trees making you feel that you are right in the heart of the National park. As I mentioned previously, the Veranda is definitely worthy of a stay longer than one night if you can afford to do so in your itinerary. The staff are friendly and the rooms are well resourced (including an espresso machine) and clean. In summary, the Veranda is an outstanding place to stay whilst in Kep.

All Good except”
We had a family trip over Cambodian New Year (which coincide with Thailand's Songkran Water Festival). We have visited Veranda Natural Resort for several years now. Everything was as expected but two things. 1. They should do something about the signage to Veranda Natural Resort and pave the road to the main entrance. I know the name has "natural" in it but the pavement has to be there. It's been the same bumpy and dusty road for the last ten something years. So minus a star. 2. Increasing number of certain people from certain country has come and been smoking near children, especially at the pool. Very unhealthy and disgusting. And it costed a star for not controlling those people. Other than that, I haven't found any other place in Kep to top this place.

Amazing hotel, great facilities, sea views”
We had an amazing stay at the Veranda resort. Our family room was beautiful, spacious living area/ kitchen, big rooms and bathrooms. Only downside was that the air conditioner in a room did not work, however the staff dealt with this very well and while they were having it fixed we were up graded into a delux private pool villa. It was amazing. the food at the hotel itself is a little pricey, so hire a motorbike and explore the sea side village of kep. crab market restaurants have the freshest and tastiest seafood we have ever had (try Kimly restaurant). had a great day at Rabbit island ($7 per person). Kep has a great, hidden feel to it and we really enjoyed the area, and especially our stay at Veranda.

Best place I've stayed in Cambodia yet”
This was by far the most expensive (at still an affordable $90/night by my usual US standards) AND best place I've stayed in my 5 weeks in Cambodia so far. In just under 48 hours, I enjoyed 2 amazing sunsets with poolside cocktails from the bar at the infinity pool, had a comfortable air-conditioned rest in my large room (rosewood room) with private veranda overlooking the jungle out to the water, had a hassle-free trip to Rabbit Island arranged, hiked 6km through the Kep National Park located just outside the parking lot of the resort, experienced a great spa package (exfoliation, mango body wrap, and Khmer massage - 2 hours total for $55) and had some yummy food. My best meal by far was also my cheapest, and not at the resort - out on Rabbit Island, fresh-from-the-water seafood is available, and I had a large plate of the Kampot Pepper Crab for $4 on the beach where it would have cost $15 at the resort. No matter, the resort was still amazing and and highly recommended!

Gorgeous view at a luxurious resort”
There's really nothing you can say against the Veranda. The penthouse room was beautiful and spacious, with natural stone decoration. Our porch had a gorgeous view of the Gulf of Thailand, with plenty of seating space. There were three of us, and one slept in the double bed, one in an extra single bed and one on a raised mattress on the porch. The staff was excellent - we were brought a fruit basket and they were very attentive. We would stay here again, and didn't really want to leave! The Veranda is a bit pricier than other hotels in Kep, but it's worth.

Beautiful hotel with a welcoming, relaxed atmosphe”
The village of Kep is very small, not much shopping to do and not many restaurants. However, there is a sailingclub where you can enjoy the sunset with a nice drink. You also have the crab-market with restaurants/shaks that serves good food to a very good price. The locals are very friendly and likes to have a chat. Around Kep you can visit the national park (just outside the entrance of the hotel). There are also some caves and a pepper-plantation that you can visit - and it is not very far. Go to Kep and enjoy the silence, sunset and nice people and food. Stay at Veranda to "top up" your vacation with a feeling that you spoil yourself. I will definately return to this place!

We Always Love Veranda”
My friends and I live and work in Phnom Penh and when we have some time off we try to get down to Kep and stay at Veranda Natural Resort. We absolutely love the service, the atmosphere and the facilities. It is a wonderful place to decompress, discern and debrief our hectic lives. We will be back!

Relaxing getaway in lovely surroundings”
Stayed for four nights over Xmas as a treat, we'd been backpacking and traveling a bit rougher! For the price, Veranda was exceptional. The Cave room was huge with a great comfortable bed and impressive bathroom. The room was always clean, the only problem being dodgy WiFi, you are in the Cave room after all. The swimming pool is great, OK there are a lot of tiles missing but this is being repaired soon. Treated yourself to several spa treatments which was total luxury. The buffet breakfast has a huge range to cover all tastes. The overall style of the hotel is natural beauty with a quality touch which they do really well. The staff are very attentive and polite if a little formal!I'm sure there are little niggles that people pick up on here but if you're used to traveling in Asia you'll appreciate what a good job they're doing here for the price.

if you can do better than veranda youre lying!”
veranda is the most exquisite stay ive ever experienced. the design of each room is private and set in the most stunning natural location. i really felt i was in the jungle! i was absolutely mind-blown by the beautiful stone masonry that is everywhere. the whole environment is an exquisite work of art. it is beauty to the eyes! i booked for 5 nights but on my second day decided to stay for the rest of my entire trip-10 nights! why move when life is bliss? As well, the staff are incredible. Catherine, the general manager, is one of the warmest & most beautiful person you will ever meet. She did *everything to make me feel at home. She even kindly upgraded me not once, but twice! i was given the cliff residence for a bunch of my last nights and it is the size of a massive apartment! it also has a massive outdoor shower & bathroom that remains totally private. only you can see the infinity pool below and the sunset from the balcony. It really is breathtaking! the restaurant is also top class. breakfast is a feast of goodies, and the menu throughout the day, including happy hour 5-7pm), is supurb. Staff bend over backwards to assist. as well, both Samai & Pich were ever so helpful. Always willing to go that bit further. the other staff I can also say the same about (sorry I didnt get all your names!). Finally, 12/10 for everything. i will come to Cambodia again just to stay here. Its nothing short of an absolute delight. Go on, treat yourself😉. Finally, a massive thankyou yo Catherine, Samai & Pich. You have all been wonderful to me. btw-if anyone doesnt give this resort full marks theres something wrong with them &/or their taste!

My 4 teens did not want to leave!”
kep was the relaxation part of our cambodia trip and definitely filled the bill. kep is a pretty rustic area and out of the way (lizards, hotel pets, frogs, etc. were the norm) but you would not know it from the veranda's services. friendly and helpful staff. also, had more than adequate staff numbers so tasks such as cleaning room/villas and bringing luggage, running errands, etc. were completed very efficiently. spa had a nice selection of services, reasonable specials, and was enjoyed by my whole family. the saltwater pool was beautiful, plenty of lounge chairs and space. nice poolside bar and snacks available. really good pizza which was a great break for my teens who had just spent several weeks trying all the more exotic offerings of cambodia. the restaurant also offered traditional cambodian food, grilled entrees and wonderful crab dishes that we all loved. nice desserts and ice cream! another kid favorite! we went to a couple of local restaurants and quickly realized they were probably writing their own reviews in the tourist brochures. the veranda's restaurant beat them hands down. beautiful ocean view but at a higher elevation than most other hotels. we took a tuktuk to the beach for $2. be careful at the beach, 2 of my daughters were stung by jellyfish minutes after getting in the water. local man helped treat the stings with lime juice. we decided the ocean view and the fantastic pool were a good combination for us. if you are an ocean lover i would recommend asking a local person about the jellyfish first. we may just have hit the right season for them.

Noisy Surprise”
Veranda Natural Resort is an excellent place that I make it an annual trip. For my stay this time though, I had to get along with very noisy and ill-mannered neighbors - came here in a group tour. Other than that, Veranda Natural Resort is nothing less than what I expected every year.

Perfect getaway - great views, breakfast, spa”
We had a simply perfect stay at Veranda. We arrived very late at night but the staff were waiting up for us, which was a nice touch. We stayed in a Cliff Residence suite with a breathtaking ocean and a hill view. The suite has a really interesting and creative design, focusing on all locally-sourced natural elements (wood, stones, seashells). We had an enormous private terrace with long lounges perfect for lying there with a book for hours, and a truly luxurious bathroom stocked with Bodia products. The open plan toilet and shower are a little unusual but there are ways to manage this. The room was very close to the hotel's new (second) pool which is lovely and would be peaceful, although it seemed there were a lot of people (not guests, it seemed) spending time there noisily taking photos of the view. The breakfast had a great view and a wide, changing selection of food and a noodle bar. The spa was great also - we booked massages at the last minute and they were held in a tranquil private bungalow on site. We will definitely return to this property again!

Satisfied as usual yet....”
This trip to Veranda Natural Resort was nothing less than what I expected. However, I began to notice several wears and tears in many places that requires the attention of the top management, i.e. loose door knob, gaps on wooden doors and windows, broken wooden stair cases, broken steam sauna and missing tiles pieces, etc. Really nice staffs though.

Just another great excuse to visit Cambodia”
I loved my weekend in Kep and particularly the accomodation at the Veranda. The Staff were friendly and the room beautiful despite having no view. I knew this when I booked so it wasn't a problem. The views from the Bakery and Restaurant are stunning and a walk in the National Park behind the Resort is a must. I'm sorry I didn't make time for the Spa but have heard good reports from local friends. Would love to visit again and highly recommend it to all my work colleages and friends in Phnom Penh and Australia

Beautifully designed boutique natural resort ”
We loved the Veranda Natural Resort. It is one of the most beautifully designed boutique hotels we have stayed in, located on the hill side of the forest/jungle with gorgeous rooms, wooden walkways, beautiful pool and restaurant, just wonderful. Did not want to leave.

Beautiful lodge above Kep and the sea”
veranda resort was a nice surprise. i had pre-arranged pickup at phnom penh airport and the transfer went smoothly. it was a surprisingly long drive – over 2 hours! i arrived very late at night and the staff offered to show me straight to my room and complete check-in formalities in the morning, a much appreciated gesture. i stayed for three nights and greatly enjoyed the tasty breakfasts, lounging by the pool, and naps on the outdoor daybed. i rented a bike one day to explore around kep. the mountain bikes on offer were well maintained. the only disappointing aspect was that the bike counter was closed 12-4 pm, so you had to make plans in the morning and if you wanted to just take an afternoon ride you were out of luck. the front desk arranged for a bus ticket from kep back to phnom penh and included a tuktuk ride to the bus stop – a very kind gesture! this is a great resort with expansion underway.

Beautiful and quiet resort”
Veranda exceeded expectations. The resort is very large and there are two pools, so we were always easily able to have quiet relaxation by the pool (it seems that younger or more rambunctious guests prefer the garden pool while the infinity pool was always quiet or even totally deserted!). The spa was very good. The room was enormous, and the restaurant is quite good. Would happily stay here again! My only quibble was that for how nice the rooms are, the lighting is a bit dim inside (I think this is why they are much nicer than they look in many photos). Some tuk tuks cant make it up the road to the hotel, but many will do it (the road isn’t really steep, just the tuks are underpowered), you just sometimes have to ask 3 or 4 people before you can get one. At the same time, its a short walk even if you don’t find someone who will take you all the way up. Highly recommended!

Pleasantly surprised by the large family suite”
I had heard good reviews from friends who have used the Veranda so we were expecting a good standard- however nothing prepared us for the size of the family retreat suite. We were two couples- and each of the bedrooms was huge. Cool, dark and very comfortable. There was a very large open comfortable lounge area looking out onto the green vegetation. The service was generally very good, with a lovely smile and polite greeting at each point you passed. The pool was excellent- well designed with different depths and interesting stone work. From the lounge chairs you had a wonderful jungle view. There are lots of quiet, comfortable areas to relax and read in the resort. Breakfast buffet was very good- with a reasonable variety and a good standard of cooking. The freshly cooked eggs were excellent. We felt pampered and very relaxed. I like Kep but with the facilities on sight we didn't feel the need to go out and explore too much. All in all a very good resort.

Fantastic views and wonderful ambiance”
My friend (resident in Phnom Penh) had always wanted to stay at The Veranda, but had never been able to get a booking, so when I knew I would be in the area I booked a room. The Superior Suite Bungalow was expensive but beautifully appointed and private. The pool was very nice and a wonderful place to relax and unwind especially since the beach is not great (at least by Australian standards!) It is a short walk into town but reception will call you a tuk-tuk or moto if you prefer. Kep itself is wonderfully quiet and relaxed. I was only there for 2 nights (really only a day and a half) but will be definitely be going back to check out what else is offered in and around the town.

Exceptional”
We are a group of 9 adults and 3 children (aged 1-5), stayed at the Veranda for 2 nights. My sister lives near by and she recommended this hotel for us. The hotel is like a huge tree house in a Jungle and kids were just happy exploring. I stayed at a family suites which locates near garden pool. The rest of our family stayed at rosewood. Family suite has a huge balcony where we all could fit in and enjoy drinks. The property has a kids play room called “the happy hut” where my oldest daughter enjoyed crafting and drawing with natural materials. The breakfast and food on the menu were all amazing. My husband is a chef and we he could be quite fussy about food but we all liked their food. We already like to go back again!
