As it was my first trip to Gangneung, I searched for many hotels and finally chose this one. The price was great and not only the location and rooms, but also the overall cleanliness of the hotel seemed good. The breakfast I enjoyed at the cafe on the first floor was very neat and all the food was prepared warm and satisfying. (Especially the chef who kept checking the food, he was the best!) It was a bit difficult due to the noise from the next room in the early morning, but when I contacted the front desk, they responded quickly and kindly, so I am grateful for that. Thanks to the hotel, my first trip to Gangneung will be remembered as the best summer vacation ever. I am 1000000% willing to visit again next time!

Highly recommended hotel with good value for money!”
First of all, the hotel is not very big, so I liked the convenience of the room, swimming pool, and parking lot. The room condition was fine, but I chose a twin bed and it was a bit small to sleep with my child, so it was uncomfortable. Next time, I'm going to try booking an ondol room. I was curious about the water temperature of the swimming pool because I had to use it with my child, but it was warm at around 26 degrees Celsius, so there was no problem playing in the water even in the cold wind. After playing in the water, I washed up and went for a walk on the rooftop sky garden after dinner. It's nice with a cool sea breeze and good for taking pictures. At night, it was really nice to go up and have a beer. I only used the family pool in the swimming pool because I had a child, and I only watched the no-kids zone infinity pool above, but if you come as a couple, it would be great to enjoy both swimming and atmosphere. The family pool also provides free life jackets, and the safety staff is friendly, and there is also a separate baby pool, so I had a lot of fun. The building itself doesn't seem very new, but it seems that a lot of attention has been paid to various places. The cost performance is very good.

I was hesitant at first because the reviews didn't look good, but the staff were friendly and the hygiene was almost perfect. The ocean view was also great from the high floors, but some parts were not visible due to the hotel's location. It's a great hotel in Jumunjin for the price. There are also fish markets and marts right next to it, so it's easy to access even when you want to have a drink at night. It's difficult to enter or exit the parking lot, but there are parking lots on several floors, so there's no need to worry about parking.

For the cost, it was a good stay!”
Having stayed in Gangneung before, we wanted to try a different area. The location of this hotel was pretty good for access to some restaurants and bus links! The staff were excellent and the rooms were clean. However, when we went in May, the rooftop bar and pools were not open, as well as the B1 bar. This was a little disappointing as there was no notice of this on the hotel’s page on Agoda. Overall, it was worth the stay for the discounted price!
Decent 3-star hotel near Ocean”
The SL Hotel is a good value. I stayed in a deluxe corner room which had a huge bathroom and good views of the water. The TV was large was Netflix enabled. The room was clean enough; I didn't notice any dirt or stray hairs anywhere. There was a good amount of parking available. However, the pillows were too spongy for me to sleep well. The closet only had one hanger. The wood floor in front of the bathroom had a lot of water damage. The staff were friendly, but most didn't speak English that well. There is a pool but it wasn't open since I went in November, and it costs quite a bit extra when it is open. There is no fitness room either, but the hotel does offer limited room service. The ocean is visible from the rooms on the front of the building, but the hotel is located a couple of blocks away from the ocean. There is no beach in the immediate area, but there is a fish market nearby. Overall, this hotel is a decent value for the money, but don't expect much in the way of amenities or much to do in the immediate neighborhood.
