Gorgeous accomodation”

We stayed at the Village Resort and Spa in Karon and it exceeded our expectations. The Resort was a short walk from the Main Street in Karon which was fine. The villas were beautiful and very quiet. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, it was my husbands B'day while we were there and they delivered a B'day cake and sung happy birthday to him... nice touch. We would highly recommend this resort, it is a small boutique thai style resort. Very private and quiet oasis amongst the madness of Phuket.

Great hotel , nice location, great staff”

our stay at the village resort was fantastic: quiet and relaxing place, compare to the other large resorts in the area. very competent and discret staff. the spa treatments were also very nice. we will probably come back to this hotel for our next stay in phuket karon.

Lovely relaxing resort, better than the beach!”

We stayed two nights in a spacious and luxurious villa and found it a real oasis of calm compared to Karon and the other Phuket beaches. The villa was light and airy and the daily welcome display of flowers in the bedroom felt like a really nice touch. Room service food was top notch and also reasonably priced and the swimming pool (complete with swim up bar) was very much appreciated - by me at least! My girlfriend tried the spa and was more than satisfied with her relaxing oil massage. Would definitely stay again; even though we were not that fussed by Phuket itself!

A wonderful resort in paradise.”

First off, for those reading previous reviews where noise due to nearby construction was a problem, that seems to not be a problem as of 5/2014. They were still building next door, but the construction noise is unnoticeable at this point. Now, on to the hotel - it is incredible! The villas are roomy and very well kept and definitely make you feel like you are in a resort. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk from the resort. Spa prices are definitely higher than the local community, but still affordable. The pool is beautiful and, coupled with the incredible landscaping, makes the whole place seem almost unreal. My only dilemma was that I wanted to go to the beach, but the resort is so beautiful you almost don't want to leave it. Then there's the price - when I came home and was reminded what I paid for this stay I could not believe how reasonable it was. This place is well worth it and I would highly recommend it.

Overall fantastic experience”

-Wonderful friendly staff that will go to great length to help you with almost anything you need assistance with, all so professional yet welcoming. -The villa's and resort itself is stunning, great design and decor of the entire facility. Modern yet still very much thai inspired. The pool is great, the restaurant is great, the food is great and fairly reasonably priced. The spa is also amazing and definitely worth visiting especially since your first visit is half price. - Room service is great, i was abit messy with my clothes and things and they even helped me fold them up into piles near where they were laying, and placed on the side so it was out of the way! Amazing. They have a system where you flip your room number plate to the green side when you leave your room and its ready to be serviced and you flip it to the red side when youre in the room and you dont want to be disturbed. -You can leave your room key with the front desk every time you go out and they will hold onto it for you until you arrive back at the hotel, the reception is open 24/7. -Staff give really helpful info on where to go, the price you should be paying for things and really anything you need help with- cant stress how friendly and wonderful they are! Only downside is probably the location, its a little far from Patong or any central areas, a cab to Patong cost us $10 AUD one way. We made friends with a few taxi drivers that we kept calling every time we went out and they gave us a slightly better price, but you don't really want to do that since they earn so very little already (90% of the fare goes to their boss).

Our home in Phuket”

This place is calm but still central. You can reach the beach in a few minutes by walking. The staff is really nice and the Managing Director of the Resort is just a wonderful woman. She is giving really a home feeling to The Village. We can only recommend people to choose this place for their holiday in Karon and Phuket. Also to go to the cooking school at the hotel was an experience we really liked.

great hotel - lovely pool, lovely private rooms”

we chose the village resort and spa for our honeymoon and loved it. we've never spent as much on a hotel before but it was worth it. it's a short (10 minutes) walk from the centre of karon, but far enough away that it feels quite relaxed and secluded in comparison. the staff were friendly and helpful and quick to assist whenever required. the pool and surrounding water features are well done, so though there were plenty of other guests there it never felt busy or crowded. happy hour at the pool bar became a must for us and is still a highlight of our holiday.

Fantastic, Fantastic, Fantastic”

We could not fault this place. Everything about it and our stay there was wonderful. The staff fell over each other to help us, always with a friendly smile. We stayed during low season which meant we practically had the place to ourselves. The rooms(Tropical Villa) were really great. I suppose if you were ultra picky, you could say that they aren't top of the range, but it is exactly like the photos, which was just excellent for us. The surrounding gardens are like being in a tropical rain forest. Dining is good, breakfast is great, they change things around daily so it doesn't get too monotonous. The pool with its swim up bar with happy hour from 4 til 5 pm is sensational. It is about 3 or 4 minutes walk to the beach, which is clean and not to full of people peddling their wares. Karon is under 10 minutes walk and Patong beach via Tuk Tuk or taxi should only cost you about 250 or 300 Baht each way. Plenty of great restaurants in Karon to try. Would highly recommend this resort to couples or people older kids.

Beautiful complex built around a stunning pool”

Booked this because it had good reviews on trip advisor. It did not let us down. The location approx 10 mins in tuk tuk from Patong and 3 min walk from Karon beach was great as it was out of the hustle and bustle, but near enough if we wanted to dip in. The individual villas were lovely with a huge bathroom, big enough bath for two, separate shower. Also we had a separate living area and a bedroom with a super king size bed, and a separate walk in wardrobe ( garden room). The food at the restaurant was superb and not too badly priced for hotel food .. I fact we ate here most nights because the setting at night time was idyllic with the garden and pool lit up, and provided an environment free from the noisy brashness of Karon Beach restaurants. The Aircon in the villa was very effective, if I had to pick one minor fault ( and it is a minor one) the bedroom Aircon only seemed to have 3 fan speeds of fast, super fast and turbo-light speed fast which was provided a bit too much air turbulence at night when trying to sleep. On the whole I would recommend this as a place to stay and would gladly go myself again.

Fabulous Resort with beautiful gardens”

We had the most fantastic holiday at the Village Resort and Spa. The pools and gardens were just amazing and the staff were courteous and very helpful. The position was also great as you can walk into the town of Karon which is full of shops and restaurants. The only downside is the villas are really only meant for two people, if there is a third person they need to sleep on the day bed which is in the loungeroom. They also do not offer a free shuttle service, but will book taxis for you.to get to and from the airport.

Very pretty resort”

We enjoyed so much staying in this resort! It was for my fiance's birthday, and I asked them to help me arrange a bed decoration and a cake to surprise him. They are so helpful! The resort looks amazing with tropical feel. We rented a car and had no problem parking everyday. We will definitely go back there again if we go to Phuket in the future. in a very convient location only 5 mints walk to karon beach, on the other hand, the hotel is very quite and private, full of exotic feeling. room are very big, every villa has a living room, a bath room and a bed room, the style of decoration is thai, the garden is perfect, beautiful and peaceful. staffs are friendly, the SPA is nice and have 50% discount for the first visit. only thing can be improve is better have TV in bedroom. it is really a very good experience to stay in village resort.

Relaxation Utopia”

Have only good things to preach about this hotel. Room was very clean and well worth the small price tag. Loved the steps leading up the the bed and the massive bath. Lots of nooks and crannies by the pool and garden areas so you always felt like you had your own space. Restaurant meals are well worth the 45 min wait and the breakfast buffet was very good too. Enjoyed the spa facial treatment which was tiptop. It's a 10 minute walk to the main restaurant area of Karon which could be a problem for anyone who has trouble walking as there's a lot of uneven/loose paving stones along route outside hotel

Relaxinng by the beach in a garden paradise”

Pros: We had an excellent 2D2N stay at the resort in a Garden Villa. It was very spacious and comfortable - could fit up to 3 people with the day bed in the living room. We were very happy to sit out on the patio and chill out half the time, but the beach was so gorgeous and the water so inviting that we spent most of our time at the beach which is a five minute walk away. Staff were friendly and helpful. The spa was really excellent - fell asleep during my massage and they let us have a shower there since we'd checked out and were catching the late flight home. There are some bad reviews for construction noise but the staff informed us beforehand that construction was from 9-5pm, and it didn't bother us at all. If you're planning to stay in your room all day instead of go out then it might bother you. Cons: The breakfast was pretty sad, and I was a little worried about the food hygiene because it was an open air terrace and the mynahs were stealing bread from the buffet. Also I found a live lizard in the pandan juice and brought the staffs attention to it. They quickly cleared it but I'd lost my appetite by then. Also, you have to pay 200THB/day if you want wifi access, but I wouldn't recommend it. It was very patchy and kept having to sign in. But then you're on holiday so why get WiFi right? Would stay again but probably wouldn't be too keen to eat there unless they kept stuff covered properly at breakfast.

Kanon Resort & Spa”

A little oasis in Karon.The Village Resort & Spa is truly a visit værd.Bungalow are big and beautiful and all the equipment. Walking distance to the beach 200 meters to the center around. 500 meters. Staff provide a good service, nice and good pool area, the food at the resort is really good quality. Can warmed highly recommend it.

Excellent Hotel with Excellent Service”

Superb Hotel with little or no faults. Everytime was met with a warm smile. My girlfriend is Thai, and they treated her the same as they treated me (farang). This is my 7th Trip to Thailand, and Ive stayed at probably 30+ hotels in Thailand, and this one would rank up there with the best. Everyday I left 40-60 baht on my pillow as a tip for the cleaning lady, and this was appreciated as new flowers and patterns were left on bed everyday. Pool bar is a little pricey but not unexpected as this is a top hotel. Breakfast was superb with egg chef, and both western and thai cuisine on offer. Did not have problem with mosquito's as I didnt randomly leave my door open. Scooter hire available here for 250 baht per day. Nothing was ever a problem for the staff here. My Girlfriend preferred this hotel over the Hilton Arcadia Phuket (Karon), as we spent the previous few days there. Very private villas and excellent private pool. Private pool is 0.8metres however, but doesnt detract from the excellent experience here.

Relaxing stay at the Village”

We enjoyed our stay at the Village resort and spa very much. So much in fact that we extended our stay for another day. Happy hour at the pool was a welcome treat that we had only to step out of our front door and into the very nice pool. The food at the resort was average, but mostly we went out to eat anyway. It was nice to have the option there if you were hungry and didn't have to leave. The staff was helpful and accommodating and had good advice about cab services. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Place so long as you don't want interent”

I really wanted to be able to give this hotel a good review and stay here again however being that I am a modern traveler with modern needs I need to have access to the internet on my vacations. It has just become part of my daily life. This Hotel offers it but they charge a fairly heavy price. I will admit that I am spoiled. Most of the hotels I stay in regard internet as a basic utility and while they wouldn't charge for a shower they also will not charge for internet. This place it not one of those places, so I will not stay here again until this is fixed. Having said that, if this is not important to you, this place is great. The villas are a good size, the staff is excellent and the beach is perfect. Not too quiet and not too busy. I would recommend renting a scooter for $8 a day in the village. Makes like that much easier.

Lovely resort in a handy location to Karon”

We really enjoyed our stay here. The individual villas are set in beautiful gardens and each villa is quiet and private. We booked a garden villa and while the poolfront villas look lovely im not sure they're worth the extra $$$. The pool area is great with pool bar and happy hour and attracted a few people each afternoon. The hotel location is on the outskirts of karon so unless you plan on renting scooters or catching a taxi into karon then be prepared to walk about 15 mins into town where all the restaurants are located (we hired scooters so wasn't a problem!). It's about a 5 min walk to the beach which is lovely. If we were to go back to Phuket we'd probably consider staying in Kata which is 10 mins down the road but seemed to be a bit 'nicer'. Although saying that Karon was also lovely and we were so glad we didn't stay in Patong.
