Great Value, Airport Location, and Incredibly Helpful Staff”
Let me start by saying that if you are transferring/arriving at TPE Terminal 2 you WILL need to go through immigration /customs as if you are entering Taiwan to get here. Check if you need a visa but US passport holders have a 90-day exemption, just remember to fill out the immigration card and note that you’re staying at the CHO Capsule Hotel at the address line. Taiwanesse customs were so helpful and friendly. You will need to make your way out past the departure gates and up to the 3rd floor and locate the correct (kind of separate) checkout counter where there will be an escalator that takes you directly to the 5th floor. On the actual Capsule Hotel, I actually arrived several minutes after the stated check-in time at 11pm but the female front desk attendant was so warm, patient, and helpful even though she was clearly on her way out. She continued to patiently help when my keycard wasn’t working too. I regret not getting her name because she was so great - if you’re reading this I just want to say that you are amazing (and have very nice hair and skin!). The rest of the staff was also very friendly and written communication before my stay was absolutely top-notch and very responsive. The facilities were very clean and modern with the newest finishes and appliances (e.g., Dyson hair dryers in the bathroom, automated doors and e-locks). The value was so good that I ended up staying only 1 night and half a day even though I booked 2 nights and I still thought it was a great value. There is a great food court and observatory outside. Would definitely stay again if I had a layover in TPE.

The interior design is Japanese-inspired. I like its minimalistic look. I'm uncertain whether it should be called a hotel - more like a hostel with all the young people vibes and shared bathrooms/ toilets. Very conveniently located in the Terminal 2 of the Taoyuan Taipei International Airport. It would be good if there is a clear instruction of how to get there as it was quite difficult to find (you need to take 2 sets of elevators in separate buildings). Also would be nice if towels are included in the the package. The swipe cards can easily be confused with the light switch cards. Should either be one or the other not both. Facilities are nice and clear. Having no shoes but flip-flops only do help with cleanliness. Air condition cannot be adjusted and it can be quite cold at night. There is no staff to ask for more blankets after midnight. Also my father got locked out at night because he took the light switch card instead of the access card and no one could let him in until I went out and found him later.

I had a 13 hour overnight layover in TPE, and I didn’t want to stay at accommodations too far away from the airport ( I worry about missing my flight). I was about to spend much more money on a far more expensive hotel, when I found The Stay Capsule. This place was perfect! Super comfy bed to catch up on my sleep, privacy, yet very clean and well appointed facilities for showering and getting ready for my next flight. Since it is located in the airport I just walked to the check in counter and gate for my next flight! I love it!

The hostel is brandly new, is quite spacious for bunk bed. There is family mart located in front of the hostel. But, before you book this hostel, you must check either you need a visa or not to visit taiwan. Since the hostel is located in the arrival hall, you need to pass immigration first. The hostel should write it on their description. Thankfully i printed my e—visa beforehand.

The place is new and clean. The capsule room is quite spacious compared to the others. But the Wi-Fi has a bad connection. Recommend to go outside to use the airport Wi-Fi. Also, some users have bad manner to spank the door during the late night or super early morning. I suggest the staff to remind the users to be considerate when using the shared room.

Great for late arrivals or early departures”
The "hotel" is inside the terminal, no shuttle, just walk to it and check in. Finding it was a bit of a challenge, not any signs that I could see in arrivals or departures. There is very little "ambience", it is a capsule hotel. Crawl into your capsule and sleep, bathrooms are down the hall. Showers were nice, but towels are extra (about $2). If you are arriving late and don't want to wait for transportation, or leaving early and don't want to have the transportation time make it even earlier, this is a great place to sleep.
