The Unforeseen Upgrade”

The Rock Hua Hin gave us a warm welcome from the beginning. We arrived on a saturday to find out that they had upgraded us into a cozy large family suite. This consisted of two rooms with an outdoor connecting area that featured a jacuzzi and plenty of seating options. This hotel is also right alongside of the beach and has direct access by its pool. I will be honest and say that I have never had such a pleasant treatment at a hotel before! Some of the staff spoke brilliant english and were accommodating in any way that they could be as well.

Good stay!”

We love the room we booked during our stay, very nice beachfront spa and resort. Near to the night markets but not near the Hua Hin Airport/ Bus terminal. Breakfast tastes good but not too many food options. Also, the food serving during our lunch wasn't good enough. Staff are very amiable and very accommodating :)

High Time in Hua Hin”

Experience the high life at The Rock boutique hotel in Hua Hin. The Rock has a lovely calm environment. It is situated in a quiet location away from the town. the staff are fiendly and happy to help. There is good 24 hour internet facility in the reception area. Although the pool area is small the view is wonderful. it overlooks the endless white sands of Hua hin and the bar is tended by nice pleasant staff. The spa aspect of the hotel is limited as the masseurs are brought in to your room from outside but the massages are of a good quality. It might be a good idea for the hotel to add to their spa menu and maybe offer things like yoga classes. We would have benefitted from this as it rained for the first 2 days we were at the hotel. As the hotel is a good few km away from the town a taxi has to be hired as the hotel shuttle bus only runs 3 times per day one way. Although i would recommend this hotel next time I would locate nearer the town and in a larger hotel offering more facilities.

Very Good place to spend your holidays at The Rock, all staffs are professional and have good service mind, Hotel located near Hua Hin night market and easy to find.

Good service as usual however too many ants in room”

Everything was perfect as always with this one of my favorites in Hua Hin. However, this time we got the room on the third floor instead of ground floor as we usually get and found many ants on the tables even with no food there! Couldn't even charge my phone on the TV sideboard because of them. They do get into holes on your phone too!

Absolutely Devine”

This hotel has a lovely view from the balcony and also whilst out on the pool/deck area. It is on a beautiful long stretch of beach. The hotel is walking distance to a few local restaurants and in a quiet area of hua hin. Rooms are beautiful and large and have a lovely boutique feel.

Nice Quiet Location”

The hotel was located in a quiet part of Hua Hin, near the Siccada Market. The only issue was the low pressure of the shower head and also the water heater of our room was not working for our first night. On the second night, they upgraded our room.

Beautiful modern rooms”

Enjoyed the location a little bit out of Hua Hin . Beach is accessible for long walks but not until tide goes out. Pool area is great . Staff are super friendly and helpful . Did have a small problem but with my bathroom but overall enjoyed my stay. Would recommend and go back.

Overrated and Disappointing ”

The Rock Hua Hin was a disappointment. This is actually my first review of a Hotel in Agoda as I generally have no complains about Hotels in Thailand (and I must have stayed at about 30 different places over the years), but this one just had too many issues I felt it was time to mention them. I paid USD 180/night, thus would expect a better service. 1. Hotel Safe: Batteries were empty; had to get the staff to unlock it twice. 2. DVD Player was not working 3. Nice Bathtub but no water pressure. Took 45 minutes to fill the tub 4. The door to the Toilet when opened to the inside hit the toilet 5. When we entered, the room was full of Mosquitoes. Probably wasn't used for weeks. 6. There was no place in the toilet to put your stuff 7. Bed sheets had stains (like blood); would expect them to be bleached and checked by the staff 8. Had a kettle to boil water, but no power socket. Had to boil the water next to the bed or bathroom. 9. Not enough power sockets to plug in your devices. 10. Fan was noisy, couldn't have it on at night. (The aircon was directed directly to the bed) 11. It was written Sea View... well, if we stretched enough we could get a glimpse of a bit of water. 12. The breakfast buffet was mediocre at best. 13. Staff at the front desk not that happy looking. 14. Noisy Fan in toilet was on all day and night... till about 4am when it was turned off for a few hrs. 15. Had to pay deposit 3,000 THB. They would accept credit cards but to get the refund it would take 1 month. Some of the issues are minor but the sum of it made it a disappointing experience. If you want a beach front hotel to relax avoid this one. For the price they charge there are plenty of others in Hua Hin.

good sea view with room but poor breakfast”

I stayed 6 nights in Feb/2010, I enjoyed the best trip at Hua-Hin! The Rock has the best location between town and beach...with good sea view and comfortable room. But the breakfast is poor and terrible.

I loved the Rock Hua HIn”

I was so impressed from the moment I entered my room. I have stayed in many different resorts like this all over the world (including one we had just left in Chiang Mai and will not return to) and this one met and exceeded everyone expectation. It even had the 'little' things that are appreciated/expected (chairs/drying rack on the balcony, tissues, the right number of towels for the occupants, linen environment friendly program). The bed was so comfortable, the room so spacious! Staff was amazing and the food services was quick and efficient. We always knew we could count on them to get the food out quickly and this is important with small kids sometimes. The only thing I need to mention is that we could not swim in the ocean as the tide was always up high and the waves hit the wall/stairs of the resort. It was only out after 8:00pm. It would be helpful if we knew this before coming or at least on our arrival with a recommendation of where we could go instead. I will look for the Serenata Group name to stay in other locations around Thailand.

Spacious room with beach view”

Nice last minute deal from Agoda, so I decided to try The Rock and I'm not disappointed at all. The location is nice and pretty quite from the city. The hotel got the swimming pool and bar next to the beach which you can really enjoy the view. I stayed at the pearl suite which is so big and got a sea view from my balcony. Moreover, all staff is very nice and friendly to help you.

Good service and great location.. but a bit dirty!”

We stayed for a night in an Executive Deluxe room. The bathroom was humongous! The room was spacious but a bit dirty. There were a lot of mosquitos in our room even though we kept our doors shut at all time. The pond by the balcony is dirty and smelly. It was ok since we didn't spend that much time at the hotel. We mostly spent our days in Hua Hin and at the market/night bazaar at night. The breakfast was pretty good. The service was great. The staffs at the front desk were always happy and smiling even when customers complained to them about the hotel.

Great Location with big comfortable rooms”

The hotel has a good swimming pool and deck area right next to the beach with access to the beach. When we were there we could walk directly into the sea from the hotel steps. The hotel needs some minor touching up but the design is great with big rooms, bathrooms and balconies. Breakfast was good. The location, as well as being next to the beach, is central to Takiab between the weekend market and Takiab headland.

Couple stay at the rock”

The stay was great, the staff were friendly and very helpful. I arrived at midday so check in was slow and the room was ready by 3pm. The room is huge, clean comfortable bed although we got given 2 double beds when requesting for a king size. The private jacuzzi in the room is more of a small pool, only 2 weak air jets, would be much more impressive if it was like the main sharedone. The main pool and jacuzzi by the beach are both fantastic! Breakfast quite nice, dinner was ok but didn't like the pizza with the defrost style bread at all unfortunately. Overall great beachfront boutique hotel!

Love the room space !!”

Seaside little boutique hotel. The seaview rooms space is so great with shower and bath tub. Excellent view from the pool. Nice beach right in front of the hotel. With the same price I can only get a room of 20 sqm and no view at all. So this hotel is really a good deal. By the way, their breakfast was fabulous !!!

Great Rooms - Nice View from the Balcony”

The rooms are nice and very spacious. Great view of the sea from the balcony. Went during low season, on a weekday, so opt for a room without breakfast if you can, because I'm sure you can get better food if you ventured out. Hot water didn't work in the shower, and while I'm sure the property would've looked fantastic when new, was somewhat dated and felt 'tired' when I was there. It felt 'old'. Own transport recommended - it's quite a distance from the town centre, but great if you want some place private and quiet but still within reach of Hua Hin town.

The Rock Hua Hin Beach Resort & Spa”

The room is nice and spacious. The public areas of the hotel, however, are smalls and not very well maintained. The staff are friendly but not knowledgable about the area at all. We asked where was the closest golf driving range. They couldn't answer. It took them a big while to do the research for us. Not impressed. Hua Hin is famous for golfing. They should know by heart where to go! The foods were just ok; nothing outstanding. I think if the hotel is this small, they should offer a la carte breakfast (like Let's Sea) than a small line of buffet. With this price, I would not return and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Perfect location”

The Hotel is actually right on the beach, and the staff are very friendly. This is the place you go to for a relaxing time, not for partying. There is a possibility to borrow bicycles for free which I enjoyed, although the bikes are old and I would had appreciated bigger bikes... The rooms are great and it is a relaxing place. The hotel also offers inhouse spa and massage, but they bring the people from outside. That was not as good as expected.

My Hua Hin Trip @ The Rock”

THis is my first time at The Rock and also my first time using AGODA. I love the resort. Small and quite..good scenary at swimming pool. The room is cute. Bed is solf and big (2 x Queen size) wow..that more than enough for 2. I also love the bath room. Clever to use glass to seperate b/w bedroom and bathroom to make the room look a lot bigger. Anyway, some of the furniture is getting old and need maintainance.
