The incredible Peninsula Hotel”
First our thank you to the concierge staff. When we were cranky they were wonderful. When we needed anything they were thre to help and to guide us. All of the Bangkok Peninsula staff are impeccable dressed, beautiful people who were always warm, extremely friendly people, but, for us the consierge people were outstanding. Bangkok is one of the most car congested cities in the world. The Peninsula stands as an island of serenity in that world. We had an 11th floor, out of, l believe 37 floors, corner suite that overlooked Bangkok and the river. Wood, glass, art, and beauty stuck us as the staff opened the door for us. Although not at the top of the hotel we could see forever and ever. And the river, with all its traffic matched the architectural skyline that was far and away beyond anything in the US. There was a skyscraper with, I know it will be hard to believe, by design, parts of whole floors, missing. A feast for ones eyes, day or night. And the hotel restaurants, and the spa, and, and, and. One of the most romantic places in the world in its own unique way. Fit for business, romance and pleasure. The only problem I had was with the electronics in our room. Although modern, open or close the drapes electronically, wit an incredible surround sound system, neither I or the hotel staff could get it to play my music. Perhaps I am picky, but no Bluetooth. Sit in the magnificent living room looking out over the night lilt skyline with the one you love, drinks in hand from your bar and you cannot get the mood music to match the built in mood lighting. Nor can you set specific temperatures or fan speeds for the A/C. So surprisingly not acceptable in an otherwise incredibly wonderful hotel. The Internet in Asia and at the Peninsula is better than any I have used in a hotel or a mall or a shopping center in the States. USE GOOLGE. It will guide you if you walk or drive. GOOGLE is your best friend for traveling. It guided us to the MBK mall - seven storie of shops p

Tranqility in the heart of Bangkok”
We have stayed at the Peninsula in Bangkok many times. We have tried many other 5 star Bangkok hotels and just keep returning to the Peninsula. It is an amazing package....it is so serene that you wouldn't know you are in the middle of a city of 10 million people. The swimming pool is my idea of BLISS. Lined by sunbeds and salas, the staff regularly supply you with iced water, mini icecreams made at the hotel and portions of fresh fruit. The rooms are spacious with beautiful marble bathrooms and a TV at the end of the bath. Thriptara Thai restaurant is superb and you sit in a beautiful Thai garden beside the river and watch the world go by. The staff rushed out with a bowl of water melon when I accidentally bit into a lethal green chilli, without me even having to request it. Your every wish, including late checkouts and non-smoking floors are granted with a smile. It would have to be the most TRANQUIL and amazing hotel in a big city, that I have ever stayed in.

Probably the best hotel in Bangkok”
what can i say about the peninsula bangkok... this amazing hotel is located directly on the riverside. the room (balcony view) was very good, bathtube has tv inside, the bar was good, the pillows were unbeliveble - so soft and pleasant. the staff is very friendly, exept some non smiling and antipate people. if you are stayng there, you have to visit their swimming pool, very long and had its own river view. the breakfast was very good for bangkok. on g floor they have a very good cantonezian food restaurant.

The best hotel to stay in Bangkok”
Though not as a new hotel like many others in Bangkok, Peninsula maintains its all facilities very well. The hotel is luxury with elegance. The view in my room is magnificant. During our stay, the housekeeper had our room clean and comfortable everyday. The pool is very beautiful and the pool bar is great. The fitness center and spa are good, too. You can take the boat to across the river or to the BTS station easily without additional charges. The experience in Peninsula Bangkok is pleasant. I definitely will visit the hotel again and highly recommend to other visitors traveling to Bangkok.

Outstanding Classic”
Absolutely fantastic. No request was too much trouble, our suite was stunning, service impeccable. There are some people who say that the newest hotels (W, U, etc) are better - no way. Peninsula is the crown jewel of hotels in Bangkok - where W is brash and crass, Peninsula is stately and elegant, where Shangri La went down hill (lapses in service and quality), Peninsula only got better over time. It is still new enough to be in great shape but old enough to get the kinks worked out. Great management team, too - they are constantly making sure things run smoothly but not afraid to man the reception desk or pick up the dirty dishes themselves. We stayed in all top hotels in Bangkok - Peninsula is The ONLY hotel to stay in.

Prestige hotel with top features and staff”
I'd heard a lot about The Peninsula previously but considered it to be very expensive. When I researched this trip I was very pleasantly surprised by the moderate cost and booked 3 nights. The rooms are very well appointed with great views of the river. There is traffic of all kinds on the water, from ferries, evening floating restaurants, sand and gravel barges and more, adding great interest for guests. Evenings in the riverside bar, just chatting to the friendly staff watching the world float by is one enjoyable experience. Breakfasts (included) were extensive with fresh tropical fruit, omelette stations and just about anything you would want for your petite dejeuner. There were many nationalities staying there -obviously the hotel enjoys a strong reputation. Bangkok is a large city with busy traffic and initially I thought I'd stayed a bit too far out. By avoiding taxis at peak times, this turned out to be an advantage as I soon got the hang of the BTS (sky train -very inexpensive) and a much better feel of a well laid out city. The Peninsula has thought of most things for visitors and their ferry service across the river takes you directly to the Thaksin BTS station, then it's an easy trip to wherever you want to go. This is a world class hotel, perfect for couples.

5 Star luxus right at the river”
We are return travellers to the Peninsula Bangkok and as every time it has been a superb stay. From the limousine service from the airport, all organisational helps they provided to make our stay a good one, the breakfast with a view on the terrace caffe (best place to take breakfast in bangkok in our view, also excellent for your afternoon / pre dinner cocktail) to the very relaxing moments on the (small but almost empty) pool .. everything is just Peninsula style. If you have been to a Peninsula before, it is all the same with a Thai flavour .. so if you like the Peninsula mood (as we do), you will like the Bangkok peninsula

Incredbile deal from Agoda on the fabulous hotel”
i have stayed at the peninsula several times. this time i had an overnight connection in bangkok coming from bali going to luang prabang. i had planned to stay at an airport hotel location and when i went on agoda i saw an incredible offer for the peninsula at so immediately jumbed at it. the timing worked so that i could take their boat (see below) aross the river, do a little shopping, and return to freshen up for dinner. i decided to stay in so dined at the thiptara (thai) restaurant in the hotel. that was my only disappointment as i had dined there in the past and it was excellent. it was not up to their standard and i will send the hotel a note. however, i was upgraded to a better room since the class of room that was offered on the deal was not available so that helped make up for it.

Peninsula Bliss in Krung Thep”
A Truly wonderful hotel right on the river in Bangkok. I wanted to stay in this hotel for a while and having a one night stop over made the reason to try it out. From you walk in to the lobby you feel a certain lightness (The same as New York & Hong Kong) the 31st floor had a balcony view of the river and all the Peninsula personal touches. Breakfast large buffet style on the sunny riverside excellent, there are also 4 boats to ferry you across to the BTS Sapan Taksin Station (Skytrain) which runs right through Bangkok to Siam Paragon. Did not have time to swim in the pool but viewed it and it is long with many chairs aligning the sides. Premium price but you can see why it is classed as the best Hotel in Bangkok if not the World!

Still sets the standard”
The Peninsula in Bangkok should be at the top of anyone's list of great places to stay while in "The Land Of Smiles". From the gorgeous surroundings, to a most gracious and professional staff, I always find myself comparing the many places we've stayed at in Thailand to The Peninsula. The great breakfast buffet, room comfort, pool, location, and shuttle service across the river, make it difficult to leave this "Gold Standard" in Bangkok hotel once you stay here. You can't go wrong choosing this place. With the many luxurious and varied places to stay in BKK, if you haven't stayed here, you'll always wonder.

Top notch hotel, excellent staff!”
I traveled with my brother to this hotel in November, and was pleasantly surprised by how attentive and thoughtful the entire staff was - from the front desk to the housekeepers. The rooms themselves were top notch with up to date amenities and TVs. The breakfast buffet in the morning (included with the room) was large, with both western and asian cuisines, The location was quite good too - while on the other side of the river to the train station and water taxi hubs, there are regular water taxis (free) going from the hotel to various stations along the river. The Peninsula Bangkok is hands down one of the best hotel experiences I've had to date!

All you would expect from a luxury hotel”
fantastic hotel and ideal location. just on the other side of the river from central bangkok, so not in the busy central bangkok. but the hotel itself has boats to cross the river every 5 min which will put you right on central bangkok and at a step from chinatown. views from the suite overlooking the river are spectacular. it also offers various restaurants, one of them on the riverside itself. something to not to miss the spa at the hotel. excellent spa and a wide range of treatments for a reasonable price. overall excellent value/money for a luxury hotel.

My Favorite Hotel in the World”
I love this place. I usually don't stay in luxury hotels. My one exception is the Peninsula in Bangkok. It's located on the River. You have to take the Peninsula shuttle boat to the BTS, but it comes very frequently and runs until Midnight. The breakfast is wonderful. Room service is fantastic. The staff his wonderful and caring. The grounds are gorgeous. I could come to Bangkok and just stay in the hotel. I love this place.

Excellent weekend city break!”
Its been a while since we were in Bangkok and I have almost forgotten how lovely it is to stay at the Peninsula for a weekend break. The rooms are large with spectacular panoramic views of the cities. Taking the free ferry crossing to the sky train is a treat in itself. Now that they have extended the rail network you can explore more places outside the city center. You can't go wrong with the Thai food at Thiptara or a daquiri at the riverside bar.

best hotel to stay in Bangkok”
To my taste, Peninsula is the best place to stay in Bangkok. All of its rooms are facing the river so you always have a nice view. Breakfasts on the terrace which stretches along the river is one of the my nicest memories of Bangkok. I would also recommend the buffer dinner. Peninsula has its small fleet of ferry boats which can take you across the river (the hotel has its second reception on the other bank)

The Best”
Our stay at the Peninsula Hotel in Bangkok was a perfect get away destination. The staff was very attentive to every detail. The deluxe suite was a perfect home away from home. The location of the hotel is across the river from the main part of Bangkok but the free ten minute boat rice to the BTS Station allowed us to get to where ever we wanted to go in Bangkok without having to put up with the typical Bangkok traffic. The perfect vacation.

Just one day..Should have been a few more days..”
Very nice as expected of a Peninsula Hotel! Friendly, courteous, helpful staff! Enjoyed it very much and would like to come back! Beautiful hotel! Very nice Pool Area and when seated by the pool, I love that the waiter brought iced water to me immediately. Also appreciate the hotel's medical attention to a friend who sprained her ankle when she slipped due to slippery stairs when it rained in central Bangkok. She was brought up in a wheelchair from the Lobby to the hotel room & a nurse was immediately sent to the room to attend to her injury by giving her first aid. Thank you very much for a pleasant stay.

First Class!”
My husband and I stayed at the Peninsula Hotel with our 6mth old Baby and the staff could not have been anymore helpful! The room and view was amazing, they had a beautiful cot and a complimentary baby pack with food, nappies and bath products in the room waiting for us! It felt like a luxurious home away from home. We loved it and we have reccommended the Peninusla to everyone we know planning a trip to Bangkok. Thank you the Peninsula for an amazing holiday!

Superb recluse from chaotic Bangkok”
In my opinion the Penninsula is the best hotel option in Bangkok. As a seasoned world travelor I recognize the importance of a pleasant break from unfamiliar environments. The Peninsula is the best hotel in Bangkok to restore your enenergy and enthusiasm for the chaotic and unpredictable Bangkok. The Oriental is another good choice but its lobby can sometimes be a real putoff. It can be as busy as an air terminal.
