Location is extremely convenient, walking distance to Wangfujing subway station. Rooms are clean. Only downside is that cabs cannot drive into the hotel lobby. You'll have to walk out to a fire station nearby to wait for your cab. Traffic is very busy and you'll have to be quick to hop on when your cab arrives else they might just drive off without you and cancel your booking.

Excellent location but not accessible to taxis”
Hotel was in excellent location, at the doorstep of wangfujing pedestrian mall. However, the main entrance of the hotel is not accessible to taxis and private cars. Therefore, we have to alight near the fire fighting station that is 50m away and wall towards the hotel. When you have lots of luggage, that is not good. The hotel interior is also dated. Many items were loose, e.g. bathroom tap and bed side lamps, and not what you will expect of a 4 star hotel.

Unfortunately the room that they gave us was so warm & hot! Feel like sleeping in a sauna room. Called the housekeeper twice, yet there is no solution. I had also asked if i could change to another room, they said room was fully booked. So disappointed. Thank god i only stayed there for one night.

Even the basic cleaning no done properly (e.g : room floor no vacumm, bedsheet didn't change, cup after used didn't wash & etc) the room facing main road at night very noise due to under construction, the air conditioning also no functioning properly during at night feel hot.

30 minutes from Beijing South Railway station. Around 30RMB. Infront have muslim food. 3 minutes walking to Wangfujing shopping street. 10 minutes walking like 1km to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. 7minutes to subway station Wangfujing. Good enough. Have a hotel own travel tour.

Great location close to everything”
It is 1 minute walk to the Wangfujing Pedestrian Mall and 3 minutes to the Wangfujing subway station. There are moderately priced restaurants in the hutongs (Back lanes). If you like typical Chinese breakfast(soya milk/curb, green/red bean porridge, fried dough/cake, boiled egg ... etc) there is a stall in the 1st hutong off the Wangfujing Pedestrian Mall i.e. Turn right at the hotel exit, cross the road to get onto the Wangfujing Pedestrian Mall, turn right at the 1st hutong, the stall is on the right which you can't miss as the stall holder prepares the fried dough outside the shop. The breakfast is cheap and fresh. I am happy with the cleaniness of the room. The staff are helpful e.g. The bellboy got me a taxi, without delay, at 4:30am on the day of my departure. The receptions are helpful and friendly. I have no hesitation to stay in North Garden Hotel again.

Great location but small room”
North Garden Hotel is conveniently located next to the Wangfujing Pedestrian Street. McDonald fast food and the big wangfujing book store are just within 1 minute walk from the hotel. There are many restaurants and a Food Republic food court located inside the Oriental Plaza which is 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The metro subway train station is also located here. The hotel room is comfortable with firmed beds but small. Carpet is rather old with stain and needs a change. But it does not bother us because we are out most of the time, and spend less time in the room.

Best location hotel in Beijing”
We stayed at Beijing North Garden hotel for 3 nights at end of Oct 2011. We enjoyed our stay. The best part of the hotel is its prime location on the first block of the busiest Wanfujing street, the start of this prime tourist pedestrian shopping street which is full of big fancy departments stores, huge bookstore next door, alleys full of small stalls and food stands are just steps away. It is located in the trendy new Mall of the Orient complex where Grand Hyatt is located but at the fraction of the price. It is approx. 3 minutes walk from the WFJ subway station, across the street from 24HRS McDonalds which has a dedicated coffee counter, surrounded by hundreds of restaurants and shops and shopping malls. Each nightly casual stroll discovered even more surprises on the main street and side alleys. The front desk ladies are reserved without smile, but they warm up later and proved to be helpful. The concierge bellboy doesn’t seem to know much but front desk ladies tend to cut in fast to help out. We had a very spacious executive suite on the top 11th floor with open living room with sofa and 360 degree flat screen TV, smaller queen bed, safe, fridge and small bathroom, all seem clean and safe. The carpet is tan color, may seem old and dirty to some picky ones, but it looks clean to me upon closer exam. The executive lounge on 12th floor is no longer operational and locked up. No free breakfast and we did not bother to check. There is constantly stream of empty taxis driving pass the hotel so finding a taxi is very easy. The front door is guarded by policemen 24 hours a day. No card needed to go upstairs. Elevators are always ready and fast, very few people around. Taxi to PEK airport from hotel was easy, we reached airport at 8AM in 30 minutes in slow driving in thick fog, 80rmb plus 10rmb toll, total 90rmb. It is not a luxury hotel, 3 stars, but clean and spacious, with the best location in Beijing, very satisfied with North Garden Hotel.

the north garden hotel is right in the center of wangfujing and very close to major attractions like the forbidden palace, so we were able to walk to most of the areas we wanted to go. the rooms are all around a central atrium area which has a restaurant. during our stay there was a party going on with probably over 150 people and some live music, which was quite nice but impossible to ignore as it could be heard clearly inside the rooms. we were travelling with a baby and the staff helped us accommodate him with a child's cot,

Excellent Location”
Fortunately we have picked a hotel which are 5 mins walk to the subway. This is very important if you rely on public transport to move around to all the sites. Trust me, after the all day long walking around all the historical sites, you would want to be back to your hotel room without more walking. A 24hr McD is just across the street for those who are not adventures on food. The nearby Oriental Plaza has plenty more choices. The Wangfujing Street is practically at the doorstep, so shopping and exotic food are every where. Highly recommended for tourists who wish to visit the city on their own.

Great hotel with superb location”
i really enjoyed my stay in north garden hotel. i would say, given the location, it is really good value for the money. taxi is around from the beijing south railway station. there are many restaurants around the area. try the peking duck restaurant nearby. ask the receptionist in the hotel lobby and they should be able to give you instructions how to get there. thrill seeker? try eating fried scorpion at the wangfujing snack street. try also the stinky tofu. it may smell different but it tastes good.

Lovely hotel, great location”
A pleasant stay for our 1 week stay in this hotel. Best of all is its location which is only few minutes walk from the Wangfujing Train Station which connects to network of train stations to reach other parts of the City. The Wangfujing Street is just nearby and there are several restaurants within 20 minutes walk distance from the hotel. Tien AnMen and the Art Museum is also just one train station away.

Nice Hotel in Beijing”
The North Garden Hotel is an unassuming hotel which has a lot going for it. When I arrived at the hotel at 7AM I wanted to just leave my luggage and go for my meeting as I did not expect to be allowed to check in. The receptionist gave me a room without hesitation. When I returned at the end of the day, I discovered that the room was a smoking room. I explained that I would prefer a non-smoking room and again they did so without any question or hesitation. The room was modern and clean. The internet connection was free. Lots of shopping and eating places all around the hotel. I didn't have any food or meal in the hotel. Tiananmen Sq and Forbidden City are just one stop away on the subway. Great hotel.

Nice hotel with a feel of home”
check in hotel at about 0330am after long flight and freezing temperature from airport, no fuse, with extra bed arranged and placed impromptu to accommodate all four of us. feel apologetic for the hotel staff having to do that in wee hours. stayed for 4 nights. large business room, lcd tv with numerous channels, internet, with complete room facilities. despite the cold, the room is surprisingly hot!, need to open window to get cold air in room ( outside temp below 0 degree celsius ). staff do daily cleaning so room are clean and tidy. forbidden city, tiananmen, street foods, big and small eateries are all with walking distant. entrance to mrt is few minutes walking and taxi ( need to ask hotel to hail in a taxi ). many choices of food for the buffet breakfast , western or oriental. feel very much safe and at home.
