Excellent stay at Lakeview”
We enjoyed an excellent overnight stay at Lakeview. The staff were exceptionally polite and friendly. Particularly the waiter in the grill and greenery room, who couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. The rooms were delightful, plenty of space and a gorgeous, large bathroom. We will definitely stay here again. The location is perfect for the summer palace area.

The staff is kind and helpful. The room is clean, spacious and comfort. The location of hotel is close to Beijing university, new and old summer palace. There are two subway stations close to this hotel.

Located close to Peking and Tsinghua University”
Mixed feelings about this hotel's location. It is right in between Peking University and Tsinghua University, so it's a good choice if you need to visit them for business. Having said that, the entrance to the hotel is quite a distance from the main road. If you try to call for a taxi from the hotel lobby to go to Peking or Tsinghua University, no one will be willing to come pick you up cos it's so "near". This resulted in me having to walk 30 minutes each way in the sweltering Beijing summer weather (38 deg celsius) to my meetings. Not great... Hotel is very nicely designed. Rather pricey. Concierge was helpful but couldn't recommend any good places in the area to watch the World Cup final. They didn't seem to have a bar with a big screen in the hotel itself, which I found strange. Overall, I would probably choose another hotel the next time because of the taxi issue.

lakeview aka peking uni boya international hotel”
hotel is conveniently located near peking university and highly recommended for parents visiting their children studying there. there is a subway station that is less than 10 mins walk away that provides connectivity. hotel and its amenities are modern and clean though the pillows could be better (they are too soft) and the quilt blanket is a bit too warm. still, the room is decent sized the other is wifi connection. i brough my ipad and not laptop so i needed a router for my room but they were all loaned out. went down to use the free wifi at the lobby and was quickly connected. however, none of my whatsapp messages were sent. that's connectivity indeed!!

Amazing hotel near the university”
Location near the university, a 5-star great modern hotel. The only aspect which is slightly disappointing for a 5-star hotel is that staff are not fluent in English. They just do it with some difficulties. Somewhat far away from the main touristic attractions downtown, but in the way to the Great Wall and the Summer Palace.

Nice and clean hotel”
NIce and clean hotel. The Hotel is inside the compound of Peking University. Walking distance to School of Economics. Very convenience for those studying there. The Hotel is also located near MRT station, approximately 10 minutes walk to "East Gate of Peking University" station. Hotel staff is helpful and responsive as and when you need their helps.

Good. But hotel is not centrally located, so need to take Taxi (~20 RMB to Wudaoko) or walk to nearby subway (15-20 minutes) station to get to places -- not convenient at night time.

Good location for Peking University”
The Hotel is well located on the edge of the campus of Beida (Peking University). However the air-conditioning was not working for the whole of the visit and the room was unbearably hot (despite provision of a portable evaporator). Maintenance of the rooms is also poor.

Staff performance not up to 5-star”
Location is good for those who have to attend class/conference in Peking University. Nonetheless, the staff performance are not up to standard. The hotel condition (i.e. the corridor to hotel rooms) was occupied by carpets to be replaced. Can't image such thing can happen in a 5 star hotel

Watch out for air con”
Lovely hotel except for the air conditioning. The temperature was set on 28 degrees Celsius (82F) for whole hotel and they could not adjust it for individual rooms. Too hot.

This "five star" hotel was built in the 80's and it shows. The staff are friendly and try hard, but it's just a bit lacking. If you need to be on Beida campus it's a good choice, but there are better options a short taxi ride away.

Unpleasant stay, hotel far from city ”
It was an unpleasant stay. Most of the staff are NOT well trained and lack of English proficiency. We booked an executive room with one breakfast. We then checked in two pax, but they only allow us to have one pax buffet breakfast. We have to pay for another one pax. This is unreasonable because it is understood that the room is for 2 pax and when breakfast included, it must also be two pax breakfast in the package. The buffet breakfast is also overpriced and lack of choices. This hotel charged 150RMB. It cannot be rated as internationally 5 star hotel, maybe it can be rated as CHINA 5 star!
