Amazing hotel in great location with lovely staff”
myself and 5 other friends stayed at the jayakarta for 8 nights, and during our stay met some of their amazing staff, and enjoyed a hotel in a great location, with an amazing layout (the gardens are amazing), rooms are perfect for a couple or solo traveller - and the apartments would suit the small family to a tee! (but at the end of the day - who is on holiday to sit in their room???) some lovely locals who sit on the beach at the back of the hotel, and some who make you feel more than welcome to let you sit, have a beer and play instruments and sing songs into the night. i have already recommended the jayakarta to friends and family, and having been to bali prior, and staying in various locations around kuta, seminyak and now legian - im happy to say my next trip will be booked staying at the jayakarta!!

Great stay again”
I have stayed here many times and will return, our room was clean and the beds were really comfortable, the layout of the resort is great however I always request to stay in a pool view room. Gardens are very well maintained. The breakfast has everything you could want and was always hot and fresh. The location of The Jayakarta is fantastic, right on the beach, close to great Spas and restaurants. The only things I would improve is the internet can be quite slow and unreliable and the Tvs could be updated and DVD players in the rooms would be great. Overall for the price I think the jayakarta is great value for money.

All around excellent hotel but not for partying”
An excellent hotel, the price is amazing for what you get. The rooms are awesome, breakfast is great, lots of pools, location right on the beach with plenty of very very good beachside restaurants nearby If you are a young adult going to bali for the party scene, you want to stay some place closer to kuta. It seems that all the party clubs are located between Legian and Kuta, slightly closer to Kuta. Its about a 20 minute walk from jayakarta Jayakarta has a pretty good gym, but there is a gym located under a restaurant about 2 minutes walk away along the beach

Great Hotel & Location”
Jayakarta is a great location and base for your holiday, good access to the beach and numerous activities. All the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Buffet breakfast had everything you needed, eat as much as you wanted. Didn't eat at any of the hotel restaurants but other people staying there advised it was good. At the entrance you walk out into a street with lots of restaurants, recommend the Flying Piano, good food and entertainment. Plenty of shopping around you. Out the front on the beach there were loads of restaurants to your right which were really good, especially Zanizbar Seafood and the Italian. Would recommend this hotel and location in Legian.

Great Location - fabulous restaurants nearby”
Our stay was delightful and we will remain loyal to this hotel and location. Wonderful beach across from hotel, wonderful swimming pools (3) and sitting areas all around with beautiful shade and breeze. The local restaurant of Lana's was brilliant, always serving amazing food. Shopping areas nearby are easy to walk to and lots of shady lanes etc. Night times were sitting on bean bags at the places only a little further along the beach, with live music and drinks til late. Great way to finish each day. Thanks to Jayakarta and its location - now we will come back to Bali.

An amazing hotel from check-in to check-out”
amazing, they were overbooked when we got there and we were upgraded to the best suite in the hotel for the first night. we were really close to the pools, restaurants, spa and beach. took us 40mins to get to kuta by car/taxi in one big, continuous traffic jam and 40mins to walk back on the beach. easy to find on the way back using the bungy tower as a landmark. service was amazing, nothing was a problem, towels, coctails, breakfast (and what a beautiful aray of food... eggs cooked to order, cereals, toast, hot food, fruits, pastries, juice etc) the jayakarta was recommended by a friend and will be the hotel we use again.

Comfortable and enjoyable ”
The Jayakarta is a great place to stay in Legian. It is situated right on the beach, next to lots of lovely restaurants and loads of shopping out the front gate. Seminyak is a 10 minute walk up the beach to the famous bean bag bars on the beach. It’s set on large grounds with three pools. One for the kids, one standard and the other with a pool bar. I love this hotel as it caters for everyone. During the day the kids are running about then in the afternoon/evening the pool bar has music and two for one beers. People in there 20’s to 60’s just chilling. The breakfast is amazing, the rooms are a great size with air conditioning and the beds are comfortable, theres also wifi accessible in the rooms. Ill be returning to The Jayakarta next time in Bali wether its by myself, with family and friends or a partner.

Resort Haven”
All through our stay staff made us feel welcome. Happy with Apartment room which was daily cleaned that was great service. Enjoyed our daily breakfast which had a great variety of choices. After every busy day going on the usual tourist outings it was great to come back to resort relax walk around the well groomed grounds and swim in the pools then go out for dinner at the many restaurants that were by the resort and walk on the beach in front of resort. Will definitely stay at Jayakarta Hotel again.

Don't you just love the Balineese !!!!!”
If you buy 2 chairs and an umbrella on the beach for the day you should pay 40,000rp.Great shop Ketut in JL.Sahadewa [some call it Garlic lane] it is the street between Padma and Melasti street go in from the Melasti end go passed about 4 shops in the market turn right in a little ally go about 3 shops and ask for Ketuts shop all the Australia are there buying she had fixed price and the right price so even if she doesnt have what you want you have an idea of the price. We also stayed in Tuban now called kuta South this area has really been cleaned up and if you don't want to surf the water is very calm and a easy walk to the shops along the beach on the new path. When changing money if they want to give you 20,000 rp notes walk away they will rip you off. You don't have to get a transfer from the airport to your hotel when you get out of the airport change money before you leave the airpot [not a bad exchange rate] turn right out of the airport and there is a taxi counter with the prices to all the areas around Kuta etc it is 55,000 = $7.00 to Legian so much cheaper than transfers by hotel bus.

Exceptional”
We really enjoyed our stay in Bali, but the Hotel does not look quite like the photos on the website. The room was a bit more tired looking than we thought. But this is typical of Bali - general maintenance doesn't seem to be a priority. In saying this everything worked and we wanted for nothing, the staff were fantastic, the pools and facilities were great and the location was exactly where we wanted to be. Breakfast was outstanding and the service was brilliant. The complex had good security and nothing was too much trouble. The cleaner who serviced our room was a gem - very friendly and obliging. The room that we were allocated was unfortunately stuck in the very far corner of the complex with a view of the street - not a tranquil, garden view with patio like most of the other units. We were located a long way from the pools, the restaurant and other facilities. There were plenty of empty units in a better location but when we asked if it was possible to change, we were offered a much smaller unit - not a 1-bedroom apartment that we had paid for. While there were a lot of things to love about the Hotel - you can certainly get much better value for money elsewhere. This Hotel is great for families - very kid-friendly. The staff were hardworking and the gardens were well kept. A large complex with a lot happening.

Such a beautiful hotel right on the beach”
The hotel is one massive resort right on the beach front, lovely friendly staff the grounds where amazing and very green, very peaceful place for everyone, lots for the kids to do to and even for couples on a relaxing holidays, even hire a sun lounger on the beach which was amazing!! Good choice for breakfast!!! Uneven tho the rooms are very outdated it's still a room with aircon shower and bed lol Location is great with shops restaurants and spa place out the front and even restaurants on the beach side which where excellent value and great to see the sun go down!! Defo a must to go and see! Oh and the construction around the pool is now finished they have created a lot more space for sun chairs around the pool!!! It's a hotel that is on the beach that is very affordable for all!!!!

A magical adventure”
Upon arrival we found our room not to be described as per brochure, but were quickly relocated and had the most wonderful time ever, would highly recommend-in particular the staff who are joyful, polite and very helpful, the hotel is fully equipted and superbly located and beautifully maintained. We tour a lot around our own country caravaning and we are finding it becoming more non affordable and i was reluctant to travel overseas being my first trip abroad,Our next family holiday will be back to Bali to see all the friendly people, and back to the Jayakarta with the whole family.

Great hotel with fantastic location”
my stay at the Jayakarta Hotel was exceptional. we got the exact room that we asked for and the staff were very helpful in everything we needed, they were always there. the rooms were a bit small and out dated but we barely spent any time in the room anyways and for the time we did spend in the room (only sleeping) it was perfect! the cleaners did an exceptional job and were very friendly and didn't take any of our belongings which i have had happen in other hotels. it is central to the shopping, bank, beach and restaurants and is not far from kuta and seminyak. the hotel had 3 pools all in which were large and well kept. the food was delicious with plenty of options to choose from especially with breakfast. overall it was a great hotel and i will definitely be staying there again when i come back!!

great location, atmosphere & hotel grounds”
The Jayakarta is the cheap yet great hotel that caters for families, couples, drunken freinds trips etc. it has 3 different large pools, a pool bar and a little spa pool. pizza bar is yum and waffles at breakfast drenched in mapple syrup was always the favourite although the rooms are basic, your not there to spend every moment in them and you get what you pay for.. the walls are very thin and as we went during schoolies we were woken up every night at 3.30-4.30am by very noisy drunk teenagers also be careful of what you leave in the minibar, as we had our own sprite in there and then took it out, the tried to charge us for it ( although its so cheap, we still stuck to our principles) they have strong policies of not bringing outside food into the hotel! people dont bother you as much in Legian...its way better then staying in Kuta. Markets outside hotel are great and if you walk along the beach theres heaps of great restruants and nightlife.

Amazing resort, great location, rooms dated”
Initially we where amazed, the resort is a haven, and in the best location. Out the back is the hustle and bustle of Legian (not as full on a Kuta, and the shop people don't tend to hassle you as much). The front is the walkway past all the other beach front resorts to Kuta, or restaurants to Seminyak. Once you make an appearance a few days in a row on the beach the sellers leave you alone. The rooms are very dated, and not what you would expect from a four star resort. However in saying that, once upon a time they would have been amazing. Everything you need - request a higher floor and if your a couple a king bed. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, laundry very expensive.. but hey its fresh laundry. Will definately go back its more of a couples than group resort, unless its a group of couples.

Perfect Location”
The Jayakarta is in a perfect spot in Legian. So much around it, shopping, bars and beautiful legian beach. Breakfasts were delicious and staff service overall was great. The hotel is quite old thou and is in need of a revamp.

Exceptional”
We have stayed at Jayakarta in Legian 3 times and have been very happy with all visits, the location is perfect and facilities good. You can walk straight out onto the beach and restaurants out the back and out the front there is plenty of shops and massage establishments.

Great Hotel and Fantastic Location”
Great Hotel and would recommend to anyone. Out front you have all the usual Massage, Restuarants, Markets that you'd find in Kuta or Legian but with much less traffic, pressure and crowds. The back of the Hotel backs on to the Beach and to the right when you exit the Hotel about 100 metre stroll you will find an array of great Restuarants with some of the best and well priced food in Bali. Breakfast was great but service for coffee and eggs slow, coffee you will need to keep asking for. Over all the Hotel is great with 3 swimming pools. Staff were great but one elderly gent in the Bar/Restarant area was a grumpy old thing so we avoided ordering from him. Rooms are great for the price and much better than Hotels and resorts next door and local to this hotel that are double the cost.

Awesome Location - Love this hotel”
I recently stayed with a friend at the Jayakarta Bali for 5 nights. Could not fault anything. I have stayed here before and will definitely be coming back. Great location. Great breakfast. Clean rooms. Good Aircon. Good Pools. Friendly staff. No issues whatsoever.

Great scenery and lovely view from balcony”
Jayakarta Hotel had two pools, the bigger pool was often noisy and full of children while the other pool was quieter and I could concentrate when reading my book by the pool. The only downfall about this was that the Poolbar was at the other, bigger, busier pool. However, I was able to order food/drinks by the smaller, quieter pool. There are also banana lounges on a higher level between the pool and the beach where you can sunbake and listen to the beach. Very close to the beach, simply walk out the back entrance to the resort and you right near some fantastic restaurants with a view of the beach. Fairly nice rooms, although could do with some upgrading. Medium selection with buffet breakfast – offered at two restaurants, near each pool. Great customer service from all hotel staff, except when at breakfast - average service when at breakfast. The hotel also offered free professional photography session with a free photo per person - you can then purchase more photos after that (not expensive).
