Room Type: The Den Purpose of stay: Convocation A) Receptionist The check-in and out process were very smooth. Probably because i booked through agoda so they just need my booking id for confirmation and my ic. The staff also very assistive and has pleasant personality. When travelling i always had hangers of already-ironed-clothes so my hands are really busy (and tired)- which is why i really appreciate this kind of smooth and fast procedure. B) Room The Den was okay. It's not big and there's a very small space for you to perform your prayer. The room smells like old herbs, not sure if it's something that i like but it's nothing weird. Floor was clean, air-con was functioning, they have tv but i didn't turn it on so idk if it works or not. Clean sheets and comfortable pillow. It wasn't a queen bed but rather two single beds being brought together. Have this old-wealthy-chinese vibe. C) Bathroom Does not come with toothbrush or anything like that, but they do provide shower gel and shampoo. Again, smell like herbs. But i really like the design and deco of the bathroom. Oh ya they don't come with bidet so bring your own travel bidet. D) Food Me and my husband got the breakfast package and WE LOVE IT. I got nasi lemak while my husband had his kaya toast. That was THE BEST KAYA TOAST WE'VE EVER HAD. THE BEST NASI LEMAK EVER!! E) Parking They do have their own area for parking but really small and limited. We had to park somewhere else and had to pay RM15 for it. Thats the only available parking area and it's quite far. F) Conclusion I'll come again for the food. That's for sure! As for the room.. maybe i'll have another package with kl view 🤣

Concept is outstanding ”
It is really a cute boutique hotels with a great concept design. Our room was really small but i love the use of space making the room feels homey. The double glass vacuum window really block the outside noise. You can’t hear anything even the train is nearby. Since its at the city centre you can travel easily using grab or train. The only downside would be the glass is barely tinted. I have to close at least half of the curtain because people can really see you in the room. It is really concerning. Other than that the staff is really friendly. Even sent us unexpected complimentary dessert for my husband birthday. I didn’t even highlighted that it is my husband birthday just merely a front desk “hows your day” conversation but they took the initiative to surprise us. My husband was really happy with the surprise. Thank you for the hospitality.

Time travel hotel”
We got upgraded to the Little Towkay room, which was a pleasant surprise as it was peak time. The bed was luxurious, and room was spacious and comfortable. The sound proofing was superb as we were located on 1st floor, jz above the busy Jln Sultan Ismail but we could hardly hear the noise. Unfortunately, there was no tea/coffee making facilities and the minifridge was not working, so we just went downstairs to buy our cold and hot drinks and bring to the room. Definite plus point was the bed, for me!

Everything was perfect from the moment of checking in until end of my stay. Awesome location and the hotel is in a very beautiful building. Check in process was a breeze, staff was very helpful and professional. Parking is beside the hotel, within walking distance but limited so do come by earlier to get your spot. It's RM 15 for hotel guests. Can validate your parking ticket before check out. Stayed in The Den and the room was cozy but not much space to move around. The ambience is soothing, good for a relaxing stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and definitely had a good sleep. Bathroom is aesthetically pleasing but there is no bidet for the toilet. Only body wash, shampoo and hand wash are provided. Didn't get the breakfast but there is a cafe at the lobby and also can order room service if you are looking for food. Overall, I am a very satisfied guest who enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended.

Superb hospitality ”
The bedsheet in my checked room has blood stain, so the person in charge came up to check and immediately asked housekeeping to change a new one. They were in and out for about 10 minutes and even offered us late checkout. Great response to the issue. Everything was good. Parking is limited but I did not leave the hotel after I checked in. So not a problem for me.

A pleasent stay”
We have a wonderful time here. The receptionist are warm and friendly, and the room is comfortable. Even though it is fairly small compared to other hotel room, but the beautiful view of Chow Kit made it worth it. The breakfast are definately the highlight of the vacation, it was amazing. In addition to that, the location is strategic as it is near the monorail and LRT, it's easy to get around the city. Overall, a great experience for people searching a place to stay in Chow Kit.

As a solo traveler, I felt welcomed and the place overall was amazing. Staff is friendly, place was clean, bathroom had large tall showers, commute was convenient. They have a small open air parking so it might be hard if it rains.

Best bed, beddings and pillows. Exquisite finishings especially the bathroom - brass door handle, tap, shower etc. Unfortunately, no spray installed in bathrooms. Too bad. Otherwise, a travel-perfect hotel for locals as well as international tourists - small, compact, comfortable yet classy and the food is great!

Sets the holiday vibe right”
By far the best stay i had, hotel is clean and smells good all the time. Great hospitality! Staff is kind and helpful all the time. Room is very comfortable, very relaxed in it. Got some snacks and cocktail from their kitchen menu, they were surprisingly good! We drove ourselves there, there’s a parking space just next to the hotel and the fees are ok. Would recommend to tryout this place, affordable and good value for money.

Good location, fantastic food”
Pros: The room is exactly as in picture, very clean hotel, helpful staff and veryyyyyy good food, one of the best Nasi Lemak I ever had. Car park is provided for RM15 per day, very good considering it is hard to get parking in KL. I would highly recommend this hotel to my solo travellers friends Cons: Housekeeping guy come in room while I am still inside sleeping, scared the hell out of me. Should consider calling the room first to confirm whether housekeeping is needed.

The Chow Kit Ormond Hotel perfectly suited our needs and superseded our expectations. The hotel and rooms' interior is tasteful, modern and invited us to spend much more time there than we anticipated! The Junior Suite was the perfect size for us travelling with a child not yet a year old as the little one was able to crawl around. The beds were heaven - probably the most comfortable hotel beds we've ever slept in. The kitchen is modern and delicious and even though we did not book the room with breakfast, we decided to eat there every day. All staff was super nice, helpful and accommodating! Be it with lost luggage that they follow-up on (Thank you, Rachel!), giving us tips how to spend New Year's with a baby or with storing our luggage. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Chow Kit Ormond Hotel - and on top it is in walking distance to a couple sights in KL.

The vintage theme of the hotel was executed well, from my first entry into the hotel, to the room, and all the way to the dining experience. I loved every second I spent during my stay. Staff service was excellent as well. My food experience was only limited to the free breakfast that came with my booking, but the breakfast was great despite having somewhat of a limited option. It came as a set of mains + coffee/tea + fruit juice of your choice. Perhaps the only downside of this hotel is when you are booking for an e-hailing service i.e., Grab car. The entryway is very small and hidden, which makes the Grab drivers have a hard time finding the location so you'll sometimes have to cross the nearby junction to reach the Grab car. Other than that, I definitely recommend this establishment and will definitely look to stay there again in the future!
