Good location, friendly staff, don't expect 5star”

We stayed only one night at the Tharaburi Resort Sukhothai. Getting the early morning flight from Bangkok and the late afternoon flight back meant we had two full days in Sukhothai which is really enough. This 'resort' is ideally placed to explore the area - the hotel hires bikes, an inexpensive 50 THB per day, and it is only a less than 10 minute ride to the park and surrounds, and even quicker to get into town, where there are plenty of nice cafes. It has a really charming ambience, quirky but very Thai decor, the beds are extremely comfortable by Asian standards, where so many hotels have very hard beds, sheets clean, the room overall clean and big enough, though not massive. We didn't have any other neighbours being such low season, so not sure about the noise. We worried about the stagnant pond right near our terrace, but weren't bothered by mosquitoes, though the only other people in the hotel, in a family room, said that they were, and there are no nets. I agree with other travellers that the bathrooms are not 100% clean due to needing new grouting mainly, but this is not an expensive place and it is Asia after all, things get like this due to the humidity, it was not for lack of cleaning. Our safe also did not work - but they replaced it immediately. It was a minor issue. Breakfast very filling and good. The pool is overly chlorinated, as everyone has noted, it was awful to swim in which is a shame as it was a nice pool. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Beautiful, comfortable, convenient, friendly”

Pros: - We stayed in room 301 which is Chinese-themed and it was really beautiful, and very original (not tacky). - The staff at the front desk are extremely helpful and friendly and helped with a few minor issues we had. - You can rent bikes cheaply and explore the historical sites that way - we did this and it was a brilliant experience. The hotel is very close to the sites so you can linger until the sun sets (beautiful colours), and the ride is very very pleasant. - We tried the restaurant down the road but quickly fled it in favour of the hotel one, which is much much nicer (the other options, on the road to the historical park, were not very appealing either). They also have plenty of coffee-table books and magazines for you to browse while waiting for your food. - Breakfast was nice - especially since it had several Thai options which we didn't find anywhere else. Only con: - The food menu has virtually no vegetarian options, and the staff are not particularly helpful in that respect (for example, they didn't want to try making some of the curries with no meat, whereas almost all other restaurants in Thailand offered that spontaneously)

Beautiful boutique hotel”

Would reccommend this place to anyone, families, singles, couples, any age.The bed was so comfy. Maybe a 10min walk to Sukhothai Historical Park. Bikes are for hire. Large pool. Day trip transport arrsanged very easily to visit other historical parks in the area.

Excellent resort in Sukhothai”

The resort located near Sukhothai historical park. Room is excellent, clean and comfy! Staff is very polite and helpful, Superb!!!

A lovely hotel; great value for money”

We loved this hotel and would give it 10/10 even with a few facilities missing. The WiFi was 'iffy' but so it was in every hotel we stayed in that area over a week, even a couple of 5-star hotels. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble; the Thai food was excellent; the breakfast was more than sufficient; the location was excellent but we did have a car to get around everywhere in the region. We would not stay anywhere else in the Sukhothai area in the future and we shall be back. Sukhothai is a quiet but very interesting place to explore.

Nice Hotel, Nice staff in nice Sukhothai”

With last minute booking, I tried to request nearby rooms. Check in staff kindly upgrade one of our room without any request from us. Both rooms are nicely decorated with very good-looking old style and not overlook for guests' convenient. Breakfast is suitable for this little hotel and tasty, they served both Thai and American dishes. Not the cheapest but I think it is worth for nice sleep in very nice historical park.

Tharaburi”

Excellent. Nothing to complain. We received very good service in a very friendly manner, the room was very good, breakfast was excellent, dinner was good. excellent value for money. Good recommendations from Ram, in short if ever in Sukhothai again I will definitely stay here again. I believe a 8.4 would be a better rating for this resort

Wonderful place to visit Sukhotai Historical Park”

Very nice stay in this hotel, close to the Historical Park; large rooms, swimming pool , and very kind staff always ready to help. I largely recommend this resort that was our best stay in Central/North Thailand

An oasis in a busy tourist town, felt remote”

we had a hard day of travel (6 hours by bus from chaing mai) and were thrilled to find peaceful rest, a wonderful dinner, and charming hosts. ditto the next day, after much walking through the historic park in heat and humidity. this was a great place to recharge, relax, and cool off in the pool. a nice variety of food is offered, for all tastes, and it all tastes great. couldn't have been treated with more kindness. they are on a septic system, so no paper can go down the drain (even toilet paper). this might put some off, but it is not much of a drawback for most, i wouldn't think.

Excellent location close to Historical Park”

The Theraburi is an excellent little resort hotel in a quiet side street not far from the historical park. Internet- WiFi in the room is for free. Pool nice entry portal. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Good location, friendly staff”

We happened to visit there on the Chinese new year's eve. So the 1st night was noisy due to some live performance nearby. However, the 2nd night was very quiet. Enjoyed cycling in/around the historical park by the hotel's rental bicycles in the morning & evening. Saturday night light-up of the site was sooo beautiful. Breakfast was said to be poor, but good enough for us. Front staff were friendly and restaurant staff were not so much but good enough to stay.

Charming boutique hotel just near the old city”

Charming boutique hotel well placed. The hotel offers the possibility to rent a bicycle to visit Sukhothai Historical Park. We enjoyed the jacuzzi in the bathroom. However don't forget your mosquito repellent.

Lovely service”

Nice hotel, Freindly staff. The location is very convenience and close to Sukhothai (Old City) Historical National Park. The hotel is also very clsoe to Sukhothai Town, only 15 mins drive. The cleanliness of the room should be improved. Breakfast menu should be improved also, the menu is very limited and the same on both days of my stay. The menu shoud have few more varieties and should not be the same. Bicycle is available for guest who do not come with own transport.

We enjoyed our two days stay at the Tharaburi Resort. Room was fine and food very good. The staff were lovely and in particular the man at reception was excellent and very helpful.

Very nice hotel with a problem”

The hotel is pleasant, location is very convenient to the historical park, with bicycles available at 50 baht per day, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant served quite decent fare, both Thai and Western. The room was comfortable enough, and the wifi connection was good. The problem is that the bathroom shower area is open (with screens) to the outdoors: a nice idea, but during our stay a tropical rainstorm left most of the bathroom floor and even much of the counter where the sink was soaking wet because of this open-air shower arrangement. Sorry to say it was enough of a mess that we would be unlikely to stay here again, nice though the hotel basically is.

Lovel hotel near historical park. Thai Deco Style”

Lovely small hotel, nice staff. 800m from the historical park. Good location. Green and very nice deco. Try to get a room on the pound side and not on the road side. Even we do not have heared the traffic.

great place with excellent service”

the location of the hotel is great, walking distance to all the major sites in Sukhothai. But the best feedback we can give is to the very friendly staff, that went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, they provided us with bikes, explained where the sites were and arranged a very helpful guide for us. Excellent!

Nice and comfortable but you need to have transpor”

I went there with my mom during our long holiday. It is a quiet and peaceful place. Hotel is clean and nice. Small but comfortable. It is close to historical park and you can ride a bike to visit the place.
