Not 5 star quality ”

I didn't pay 5 star prices, and realised why when I stayed here. It feels like it may have been a 5 star hotel in the 1970s, but it's definitely in need of a refurb. Staff are friendly at check-in when you approach them, but their check-in is confusing and you have no idea who to approach. Looks like there is the beginning of a new skyscraper being built next to this one, so I predict loud building work for the next few years. Room was very clean, bathroom was fantastic, high quality but old feeling. Most annoying thing about the room though was you couldn't turn lights on individually - it was all or nothing. so when I went to the toilet at 3am, I woke my wife up as the switch to control the bathroom light also automatically switches on 6 bright lights in the bedroom. Terrible design.

Dated business hotel”

Was once one of the nicest hotels in Taichung, 20 years ago that is. Can definitely tell its facilities are dated. Not friendly for families with children, asked for a baby cot but they said they ran out. Price is not demanding however, which may be the best part of the hotel...

Great staff and housekeepers, but room and facility desperately need a proper renovation ”

Staff are helpful and diligent housekeepers. However the management needs to make more efforts to renovate this old hotel to make it shine again. Sadly, I have to say breakfast is mediocre.

A typical old hotel”

Frankly I found the facilities in this hotel quite old but classic. All amenities were well prepared but the services and the facilities were really not as a five stars hotel.
