Relaxing and stress-free”

I would certainly recommend staying. It's a nice place with friendly staff that are willing to help you (even if sometimes they don't understand, they still try to help). It's a couple of blocks away from the Van Station (like a bus station except with 15 passenger vans), which is good for short trips to surrounding areas. Khon Kaen in general is not overly "English Friendly" in that when you look around at the signs, very few display the English translation - so it makes it a bit challenging to find places you're looking for. I wouldn't classify it as touristy in any way, so it's kind of a nice break from all the hounding you get in Bangkok, Udon, etc.

Cheap and clean”

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. Our room was large and comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived with a lot of luggage since we were moving to the city and just staying at the hotel while we looked for an apartment, and they gave us a whole extra ground-floor room at no charge in which to store our boxes. My only minor complaints would be that our air conditioner worked inconsistently and the wifi was down about half the time, but I don't expect the Hilton for ten bucks.

Quiet hotel close to AC bus station”

Once someone pointed the way to walk to Tamarind from the AC bus station (coming from BKK), it was a very short 2 blocks. The place is quiet, and seems very local. The room was spacious and clean. THe breakfast is nothing special (bread and jam with coffee or tea) so if you have a choice, choose no breakfast and get it across the street or down the road. The reception speaks little English I think also because this place caters mostly to locals coming in from out of town or for work. However, that's no reason not to go here--it's a nice place if you're laying over for one or two days before going on elsewhere.

Nice hotel friendly staff”

Nice hotel for the money with working wifi in rooms and friendly and helpful staff , they stored my bike bag for me at no exta charge and the hotel is a stones throw from the bus station and the city center

Close to AC bus station w/ spacious rooms”

Just have a meeting in khon kean for 3 days. good location as it is just 5 mins walk to our meeting place. A few small restaurant nearby.

Affordable accomodation in the middle of town”

Located in a nice neighborhood near the minibus station directly in the city center, lots of small restaurants around, staff was very helpful, room nicely equipped although quite bright at night from lights outside

Went to party in Khon Kaen”

My stay was great. Only stayed 2 nights to party. Hotel/Apartment had everything we needed for cheap. Not like a hotel chain or anything fancy but for the price it is perfect.

close to air con bus station”

i stayed one night at this hotel because it was a block from air con buses.the staff were friendly and the english was good.the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. for its location it was very quite so sleeping was no problem.if you are planning to take an air con bus else where in thailand this is an excellant location with good price

good for the price”

The room was clean, with a small balcony and a medium sized bathroom. The shower was warm and had good pressure. No bathtub. No toilet paper or soap provided. The area was mostly quiet. Good bed. two pillows. The refrigerator was cool and had two waters in it--I believe they were included for the price. The staff were friendly. The owner speaks English. Overall a very good hotel that matches the price. It's simple, but enough.

The plus points possibly outweigh the minuses”

Smart exterior with garden courtyard. Large rooms including large shower room (marred by cockroaches and foul-smelling drains). Helpful staff, low-cost on-site laundry service. Huge street sign so it's easy to find on foot or by transportation. Not too far to walk to city centre but a bit trying in the heat. Local Thai open front eateries opposite and further along the soi, en route to and near to the bus station.

The hotel requires renovation.”

The hotel requires renovation. The amenities are none existent. When I checked in the bed looked as if someone had just got out of it. The towels supplied where like sand paper. The day time staff could not speak english at all, which in this area of Khon Kaen is unusual.

good staff, shop road front unit but still ok , ”

apart from the blocked toilet all ok, units was an old shop front but ok, laundry facilities avail, off rd parking avail, beds a bit old tough, feel the spings in the mattress.

Clean and convenient”

Hotel is located just down the street from the AC bus station making for an easy walk to your room. The bed I enjoyed was one of the most comfortable in my life! Would have been smart to get the brand of the bed. Staff is a jolly crew, happy to share smiles with the willing.

Two block from AC Bus station”

The hotel is quite and clean with a friendly, yet zero english speaking staff. I was accommodated with an early morning check-in no extra charge - thanks! Veg loving eaters when exiting hotel driveway turn left, walk to the end of street(mosque on the right), take a right walking half a block and there will be a veg restaurant on the left(excellent). Wi fi was very good!

I love this big room but the service is poor, nobody can speak English, they have breakfast but it's a little bit.

This is the place that nice,clean and worth your money. the staff is very nice. The AC works very nice.

Nice grounds but disappointing stay”

Clerk at check in spoke no English, but promptly phoned the manager who did speak English and confirmed my reservation and informed me that the room category I requested would mean facing the main street. The room was larger than the standard category but was definitely not up standard quality found in this city. The room was not clean, (including evidence of lizards on the bed sheets) no amenities (no toilet paper or soap). On a two night stay, only one of the two towels was changed. Bathroom was barely larger than a closet, and smaller than those of the standard category rooms. No point in complaining since the manager was not on-site. Breakfast was to be included, but on the first morning we were informed the bread had run out which clued us not to expect much the second day either. Business associates who stayed in the standard category were pleased with their value for money. But certainly this was not worth paying the extra for a deluxe room.
