Ta Lee Hotel is super clean, well lit and has a big bathroom. Location is pretty great as well given it is perpendicular to a street full of local food. Breakfast variety may be very limited but it is definitely sufficient for a quick fix. You should be out and about for Tainan's abundant of food options anyway. Only thing is they do not have face towels and will be great if the back of bathroom door has hooks as well.

Having previously stayed here about a decade ago, I can certainly say the new renovations have really made a huge difference. Don’t let the dated exterior and humble lobby fool you! Even the basic rooms are well-appointed and include a decent bathtub. The location in the city center is superb. Plenty of the usual tourist hotspots nearby as well as local delicacies abound everywhere in the vicinity. Free parking and a very decent breakfast, though limited in selection, made up for it with substance. Most of the competitors in this price range Offer very simplistic “vegetarian“ breakfast options. Therefore, at this price point, it’s hard to complain.

Stay if you have to”
A bit of a depressing hotel, in a depressing area of a depressing city. Seriously this city is the ugliest I’ve ever seen and feels more like a developing city than developing cities. Got the smallest room and it was over priced. It had a small window overlooking a wall. It has no heating so it’s cold in winter, had to warm myself up with the hair dryer. The bathroom is a big wet room; everything gets wet. There is no noise insulation so you’ll be woken up all the time and the cleaning lady leaves a walkie walkie in at full volume in the hallway in the morning. Breakfast is only until 9:30am but you’re not missing much. The room is relatively recently refurbished and clean except for a couple of someone’s hair in my bed. You stay here when you don’t have alternatives; but Tainin is such a horrible city there are only a couple of nice streets in the whole thing.

Subrang ganda ng room gustong gusto ko pati mga staff very approachable. At okay naman ang pagkain. Ang hindi ko lang nagustohan ay hindi malinis, ang higaan maraming buhok halatang hindi pinalitan, pati mga devider so dusty hindi pinonasan. Sana tignan lagi ng maayos Housekeeping supervisor o yong mas nakakataas ng housekeeping, sayang ang ganda pa naman ng room pero marumi lang. Thank you!

Advertises that the staff can speak English, but they can't/won't. Room wasn't ready at check-in time. Breakfast didn't include any choices -- it was fish only on our stay. A couple of breakfast shops nearby however. A 15 minute walk to the hotel from the train station that's pretty easy to figure out. The room and bathroom were clean when all the issues got solved.

Stayed 3 nights .... Hotel serve breakfast with variety dishes served every morning. Staffs are nice n friendly but lack English. Hotel sort of old but rooms are comfortable. Location about 3 to 5 minutes walk to bus stops for various destinations. (Plz use Google map for destinations settings n check the bus number provided). Bus rides mostly free of charge within 10km radius. Use the Easy card (like Touch n Go cards ..... ) to travel on Busses n Train(TRA). Easy cards can be used in Taipei, Taichung Tainan n Taichung which can be purchase at Toayuan airport in Taipei. Plz add credits to the card. 7-11 n Family Marts are nearby.

Staff is friendly and helpful, speak some English . Location is great ...the only thing I didn't like is that the a/c is controlled by the hotel so the temperature may not be cool enough especially at night. Otherwise it is a good hotel to stay .

The hotel is old, but parts of the facilities are newly renovated. The outside, the lift and lobby are old, but the restaurant right next to the lobby is nice and new. Furnitures in the room are old, but the bathroom is new and looks nice. The problems are - there's a nice bathtub, but no shower curtain, so when you use the shower, the floor got all wet. Also, the bathtub is not fixes on the floor, you have to be very careful when get in and out, or the bathtub will move, it can be very dangerous!!!! Please fix it ASAP!!!

Hotel is located more than 10 mins away from railway station. Location is not too difficult to find. There are public buses nearby the the hotel to n fro attraction. Rates are higher online then walk in customers. Cleanliness is there but room is a bit hot as the aircon is not adjustable.

Pleasant experience ”
10-15 mins from Tainan railway station. Easy to locate. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Wifi is the best of all the hotel we stayed throughout our Taiwan trip. Breakfast choices are great and delicious too. Only downside is the bathtub, it’s not fixed to the wall or ground. It will move/shift when you step in. Hence, a bit prone to accidents. Needs to be extra careful when showering. Overall experience is very good. Highly recommended!!
