Just what we needed”

We only stayed for one night as we were moving onto the island the next day. It was mainly used to catch up on sleep. We got the night bus to Chumphon so we arrived at around 5:30am but the hotel staff were great. They got us checked in as soon as possible around 6am and offered us tea, coffee and biscuits. The room was clean and aircon worked well. Pretty basic but perfect for what we needed. Later in the evening when we arrived back from dinner we found the card for the electric wasn't working but the staff at reception got it fixed within 10 minutes. They offer free cold water and tea, coffee and biscuits in the morning. Would recommend this hotel an would stay there again if we were in the area

Classic Thai Hotel”

A classic style Thai hotel in Chumphon. Basic, but very clean & with nice staff. Very close to the train station and night market. For the price, it's perfect. A/C and fan were good. Bathrooms were newly renovated. Filtered water machines are in the hallways. Instant coffee and cookies were provided in the morning, but there are also many restaurants and cafes within a couple of blocks.

Legit place for night sleepover in Chumphon”

Old school type hotel with a simple room, fan on the ceiling. Just right for spending a night in Chumphon while waiting for a boat to the nearby Islands. Very close to train station. You don’t expect much from this place but is great for the value.

Good location in Chumphon”

Arrived in Chumphon by rail and this hotel is a short walk from the station. Although the hotel was a little old, the room was a good size and it was clean and comfortable. The staff gave good info in regards to getting around. Good value for money generally. Around the corner from the hotel there is an open plaza with lots of bars and restaurants. There are also a couple of malls and shops in the vicinty. The bus to Thong Wualaen Beach goes past the front of the hotel and can be hailed from there. No problems with this hotel and fine for a transit stay in Chumphon.

Very good”

Convenient location near Chumphon train station, stayed here one night to catch early train next morning. The room was responsibly clean but good for the price. The shower was only cold water fyi and our room smelled of cigarette smoking. Delicious food nearby and lots of street vendors, the area had a great vibe. This place worked for a quick layover between ferry and train.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”

Hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the train station,the hotel itself is clean and tidy and for the money you cant complain,nice size rooms,the comfiest beds i have sleept on in all my travels round thailand.staff are very friendly and always happy to accomodate your needs.I would recommened this hotel if you need to stay in chumphon if you dont need to stay in chumphon then dont...it is the quietest place i have ever been in my life,there a maybe 2 places where you can sit and get a beer but you will probably never find them as they are local bars and there is nothing at all to do in the daytime.

Ok room, staff was dimwitted and cold”

Firstly, the room was spacious and clean, so for the price, no complaints there. The staff was dimwitted and unhelpful. When I arrived the clerk held up my passport and said "Excuse me sir, but your visa is expired!" (She proceeded to show me a copy of my old Vietnam tourist visa from a year ago) I replied, "Yeah no (bleep), that's because that's from Vietnam and this is Thailand!" She then asked me more questions about my visa and why I was in Thailand, as if that should matter to a hotel clerk. After waving my work permit around and showing my current 1 year visa, the wheels in her head turned at glacial speed until she realized I was legit, in terms of my immigration status. In the morning the front desk called my room at 11:25a and asked when we would be checking out, since check out time was 12:00p. I've never had anybody from the hotel call me 35 minutes before check out time to get my status, but maybe that's just Chumphon for you. I wouldn't stay here again. And I also don't want to go to Chumphon, since almost everywhere they nickel-and-dimed me.

Good hotel for short stay”

Good value for money. One day in chumphon is enough, rent a motorbike and see the surrounding areas and beaches is enough for 99% if foreigner I think

Fair price for city hotel”

First time lodged at this hotel during my buzz trip in Jan 2018. Pros: - Located at Chumphon heartland. - Easy walk to the food street.(approx 300 meters) - Approx 700-800 meters to the interstate train station. Cons: - Noisy music band from the nearby night pub. Yet, hotel reception can check you in a more quiet room upon request, if any, the hotel isn’t fully booked. - The room maybe smelly but you can ask to check in the new room anyway. - Other things will be acceptable when considering the room rate and all Pros mentioned.

stopover”

Bed was uncomfortable, hallways and rooms were a bit noisy, close to street food and a small shopping center. Very close to train station, they booked our ferry tickets and arranged free transfers to the pier. i only was in chumphon for the 1 night between the train and ferry rides, this hotel did its job for that night I would not stay more then 1 night, Wifi sort of worked (2 out of 3 devices) and AC was fine

Great for a stopover”

We took the evening train down from Huahin and needed a place to stay for the night before we took a bus to the ferry dock to head to Koh Tao early the next morning. This hotel was close to the train station, and we even caught a free ride back to the train station with the Songserm van. Room was simple and adequate for a few hours sleep. I think this option was still more comfortable than taking the overnight train and arriving at 4 a.m. at the train station! If you don't have much luggage, you could walk to the hotel from the train station. Train station had food stalls in the morning, so we grabbed some food before boarding the bus.

The perfect transit place”

We stayed only for 1 night after a train ride from Bangkok to catch the next morning ferry and were absolutely pleased with this hotel. Nice staff, convenient room and fair price.

Very good location”

We had a deluxe room on the 4th floor with air-conditioning. The room is clean, quiet and has an excellent bathroom with hot shower. Only the cable TV was out, but we managed to compensate that with watching Netflix over the very good wifi connection. Overall this place offers very good quality for a low price. The location is great, close to two malls and the foodstreet. The reception also arranged a motorbike for us to rent as well as the tickets to Koh Tao.

Good stay here ”

We had a good stay here, although it was short! We stopped here one night before getting the ferry in the morning! We arrived late into the evening and the receptionist booked the ferry for us there and then, with all of the transfers we needed. The room was basic and the corridors were huge and reminded me of a hospital, but once in the room everything was there that we needed. The bed was one of the comfiest we’d stayed in and for the cheapest price! It’s a great place in the centre and a 5 min walk from the train station. We were really happy with our stay here for one night. A great cheap little place for a night or two:) thank you.

Top Location even with parking place”

All good and very fair deal with the hotel-management because I made a wrong booking for the 2nd night but i could stay in my ac-room. thanks. The location was perfect and also the room. was good.

Excellent value/price, and situation”

Rare. At this price for AC room, very large room, clean, nothing fancy but fonctional. Very good location. Staff ok : had no problem with a late check-in at 2 am. Relatively quiet for a hotel. I recommand. The value/price is exceptionnal (you pay much more for a smaller/worse room usualy).

Old hotel”

Old hotel, old furniture in the room. I think the photos on website are made 50 years ago. Stunning audibility. Apparently the walls are made of cardboard therefore you can hear your neighbors are whispering. The staff didn't help me to confirm Lomprayah ticket and couldn't arrange with Lomprayah picked me up from Suriwong hotel, another hotel did it for me.

Good basic overnight option in Chumphon”

Our train to Chumphon was several hours late, arriving after midnight. So we were happy to find the hotel close to the station and with reception still open to give us our key. Room was basic, but fine. Strange bathroom - no drain in the shower stall so water runs across the room and down the floor drain!

Great for a stopover”

Nice hotel in a great location for a stopover in Chumphon before heading to Koh Tao! The room was basic but clean. Staff were friendly and the WiFi was great!

Convenient , Clean , Big Bed”

It's quite convenient hotel. the location is nearby railway staytion. The room is quite large with 2 queen size beds. Good for family of 4 pax. Room is clean with reasonable price. we stayed for 1 night then checked out early morning to head to Koh Tao.
