close to u d town and very clean”

i really enjoyed my stay at surada. the owner was a wonderful lady with excellent english skills. the room was spotless and we had a shared balcony that over looked some of the markets and the train tracks. we were on the 3rd floor so noise was not a problem. we had our own refrigerator, air conditioning unit and a nice tv. it was only 5 minutes walk to u d town and the stores were very convenient. i would recommend staying here to any couple or single, that wanted a pleasant vacation in the center of udon thani. the took tooks and taxis were very affordable and dining was wonderful at the sidewalk restaurants. the only thing that was not convenient was the hotel did not have computers available. i did not have a cmomputer with me, but i think they offer wifi. you might want to check on that.

Excellent”

I stayed in Surada Guesthouse for 3 days. The hospitality was wonderful, especially from lovely Nang who runs the place. She was very kind, helpful and welcoming. The location is good, rooms are clean, and the atmosphere is great. I will definitely get back there if I'm back at Udon Thani.

We love this place”

Me and my girlfriend love this place, whenever we are staying in udon Thani we will come and stay here and this was our second time at surada. It's because the staff are friendly and the room is massive with a big balcony u can sit outside all night. The room has air con and you can make yourself at home using the kitchen too if u want to cook something there

5 minute walk from UD Town”

I've stayed here at the SGH for more than 10 years... its a family run operation, and though the mother has passed on, the daughters have continued a great service. The rooms are clean and ample... a few rooms require some interesting stairs (if you have access issues, let them know in advance). Its a 10 minute walk to the bus station or train station and close to food options; night market, seafood bazaar. oh.. and its right on the train tracks, though the trains are always going very slow as they are not far from the Udon Thani SRT train station.

Excellent location, clean room, friendly staff”

We (couple late sixties) stayed at the guest house for one night before our early flight to Bangkok. Although the location was a bit difficult to find originally, we found that it was excellent for our purpose. We would recommend Surada Guest House if you need somewhere clean, comfortable with no frills and reasonably priced to stay. We stayed in the twin room by reception. We found it clean and comfortable. There was a shower cubicle,toilet and wash basin with partitions in between. The air condition was very quiet but the room was not sound proofed as we could hear the conversation from the reception and from the back room. This did not bother us as we were too tired to notice! The free wi fi had strong signal. A walk away from the guest house were plenty of cheap places to eat starting from street stalls, fast food restaurants, ie MacDonald and other upmarket places offering buffets, etc to choose from. The fresh food market was also a walk away, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, basket ware, and other. The staff welcome was warm. We really appreciated the kind gesture of the housekeeper who got us some sticky rice and barbecue meat to take as we had leave before breakfast. Thank you Surada Guest House!

One of the best budget hotels we've been”

With this cheap price, we can firmly say that we are really happy with the hotel. The room is clean and lovely decorated. Location is just across the street to UD Town. And staffs are very polite and helpful. If we plan to come to Udonthani again, we definitely will choose Surada Guesthouse again :)

My number 1 Guesthouse in Udon Thani”

Best Guesthouse in Udon Thani in my own opinion. the people that work here is the best. I stayed here many times before. When i go to Udon Than i always stay here. When i have stayed so many times at this guesthouse. It almost becomes like my second home. And the people that work here feels like a second family. They also speak good English.

Comfort, Great Staff, and Convenient to Hospital ”

I loved this guest house. I usually stay at resorts or outside of the city but this was close to AEK international hospital so booked it. Could not have been better. The room was comfy, the outside garden area was a good cool place to relax.Parking was easy and safe. The staff was friendly and helpful. Public transport easy and shopping, outdoor markets, great food and coffee just across the street. Absolutely no complaints an will stay again when in central Udon and needing a nice place to relax.

Solid Choice!”

Cleanliness is most important to me...Surada Guesthouse is NOT super-modern, but it is CLEAN and COZY. The Staff is by far the best part about it. It's near the railroad track and UD Town, so it's convenient...40 baht tuk tuk to the bus station. Breakfast was good (2 eggs and toast), not spectacular. Some decent English-language movie stations. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Guest House”

I was pleasantly surprised to find this guest house. As location and price were important for me .. the staff was very nice and accommodating & the owner even helped me find a place to play golf ~ I now consider this my Udon home away from home

Nice clean and cheap ”

Friendly staff. Nice location. Opposite UD TOWN walk distance to central udon 20 min. Depend on your speed. Just less than 2 km clean , we love it if back to udon wil stay again.

Friendly guesthouse in a good location”

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Surada, a simple breakfast of eggs and toast is included and water, and coffee is available all day. The only room available was the one directly behind the reception and I thought it was going to be noisy, but it was fine, it's a pretty quiet guesthouse. We were first quoted 550 bht, not worth that much, but we booked it through Agoda and got it for about 380 bht, a good deal. It's easy walking distance to two malls and tons of eating options. Would definitely stay here again.

Great staff and good location”

The hotel is nice although if in a front room, you may hear the occosional train. It is wedged between beside a gay steam bath house and a legit massage place. The staff is really attentive, and there are many good street food aoptions. Robinson shopping mall is about 2k walkig distance. i would come back here and probably will when in Udon.

One of a number of options when town is 'booked ou”

Surada, a family guest house, is a good budget option when there are booking issues at the main hotels (which is frequent). The 2 issues are the slightly forbidding access down a side road at a railway crossing; and the occasional train noise - though it is only occasional.

Central Location”

Near UD Town Shoppin Center, so easy to find food and shopping. U can walk to Night Market and Central Udon. And hotel is clean, staff helpful. Near Main road to take a taxi to Airport. and not far from bus station.

Good Guesthouse close to new city...”

Good place to stay for a short-time-visit to Udon. Near to everything in central city but quiet and safe place anyway. Welcoming staff... The train-traffic can disturb you if you´re sensative. The only bad thing was that the owner charged me bath extra for a damage I didn´t do... but I suppose TIT (This is Thailand), so as a farangman just smile back.

Exceptional”

Very nice cozy guesthouse. Wonderful helpful hosts. Great location in close proximity to the central bus station and UD Town. We were settled into a corner room on the second floor, so it was noisy from the nearby road and the railway. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, but the mattress smelled of sweat unpleasantly. This is the only negative. In the morning we were offered breakfast of two toasts and 2 fried eggs with vegetables.

The room was large -- actually a bit too large for me as I was traveling alone. The internet connection was excellent. The place itself was very cozy and clean. There was even a rocking chair. The staff was friendly but not intrusive (if you know what I mean). The breakfast was very simple, but then considering the price I paid I can't really ask for more. The railway warning sound is also mildly annoying in the early mornings, but I managed to ignore it after a while. All in all, it was a really good deal.
