We were especially impressed by their attentiveness—they called ahead to provide detailed directions to the resort, as Google Maps occasionally suggests confusing routes. 2. Location & Surroundings The resort is situated in a picturesque location, offering stunning scenic views from the rooms. It truly feels like you're staying next to a tea estate. The resort is also conveniently located, allowing guests to take a pleasant walk to the tea estate that's directly linked to the property. 3. Accommodation Our room was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep. The addition of a hot water kettle was especially helpful when traveling with kids. 4. Facilities & Services The resort is beautifully designed and meticulously maintained, with thoughtful touches such as strategically placed plants and swings in various areas. The staff was consistently courteous and helpful throughout our stay. The resort also offers excellent facilities for children, with separate play areas for small kids and teenagers. We particularly enjoyed the teenage room, which featured a carom board, an Xbox (paid), Ludo, and foosball—my son had a great time there in the evenings. 5. General Experience & Suggestions for Improvement Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay at this resort and would love to return. We enjoyed the location, the comfort of the accommodations, the quality of food, and the overall ambiance. However, I have a few suggestions that could enhance the experience even further: A. Signage: Once you’re close to the resort, it would be helpful to have more signs along the route to guide guests to the property. Even though the hotel staff called us with directions, we did make one small mistake on the way, but they were quick to assist. B. Rain Protection:Given the frequent rainfall in Coonoor, it would be beneficial to have umbrellas or covered walkways connecting both the room buildings and the reception/restaurant area. This would make it much more convenient for guests to move between these areas during rainy weather. C. Road Improvement: If possible, working with the local authorities to improve the final stretch of the approach road would make access to the resort even easier and more comfortable.

Had a pleasure of staying at Sunvalley Homestay for couple of days in Nov 2024. This is actually like a boutique hotel which gives you all the comforts you need from a hotel stay while the location/service is such that it gives you a pampering feeling like you are at home. The approach to this place is somewhat narrow and may create some doubts in mind on how this place would be but once you reach there all doubts vanish ! .. This property is at the end of the road where you have unobstructed view of Tea plantations right from your room balcony, you can roam around in this plantation for whatever time you want and it all feels exclusive !!.. I did see many tourists came from Ooty to get some fun time in the crowded tea plantations while Sunvalley has its own plantations where you can be just by yourself and enjoy the surroundings for whatever time you want ! The key highlight of this place is staff ! Right from Michael and Sharad at the reception, Roy and Nandu as a support staff, Aaquib Biplab Ashwin Sujana Kanjana who all serve you sumptuous tasty food with a smile on the face, they all make your stay comfortable and memorable.. I am sure there are others whom I couldnt ask their names ! .. But staff is the greatest highlight of this place. The breakfast was amazing and always something fresh that we enjoy a lot ! .. Just Amazing! I visited this place with my family. We were here for two days. I will fall short of words to describe the place, the service and everything… Rooms- Beautifully decorated rooms. Very spacious, comfortable beds, all facilities available in the toiletries too.very soothing and peaceful. You can experience the breathtaking nature through your balcony. Food- They have a very good variety in dishes for breakfast . We had only breakfast and dinner there. They have buffet and A la cart options available.the food was just amazing. From car parking to guiding you about the resort to asking you to try the food, the staff is the best here. They treat it as their own. Location- The location is a bit difficult but you will get a call from the resort staff guiding you correctly towards the resort. We were being told to reach Coonoor railway station first and then put gps for the resort . The roads towards the resort is narrow. Also must mention the two beautiful and loving dogs the resort has Alex and Soni. I wish i could give 100 stars to the resort . They made our vacation a memorable one.

Had the best of the stays at Sunvalley Homestay”
We had to visit Coonoor to attend a family function during Diwali weekend and was looking for a comfortable accommodation to stay with the family. Went by the reviews and booked this homestay and it certainly lived up to the review ratings. The place is very close to Coonoor town, but the location is picturesque as well. The high point of our stay was the amazing hospitality shown by all the Sunvalley staff. Everyone was highly professional, friendly, and ensured that we had a pleasant stay. Special shout out to Mr. Sharath who took care of our transportation needs to attend the wedding and local sightseeing. He also suggested trying some of the facilities offered by the resort and promised it would be a good experience. The Jeep ride was one of them and kids just loved it. Thanks to Mr. Shabin who took us on a adventurous ride to some lovely locations near the resort. Another high point was the food, which was really really good. The breakfast buffet, included in the room price, had a good spread and were predominantly south Indian dishes much to our liking. The menu had different items on each of the days. Lunch and dinner has to be pre-ordered and it was again Mr. Sharath who suggested trying different dishes. The soups were very good. The staff do discourage room service for food, which I felt was odd at first and then realized why. The restaurant is comfy with very nice views. It also has an open kitchen which is neatly maintained. Beverages and snacks, however, are provided in the room on request. The rooms and amenities were as advertised by the property. Every room has a balcony overlooking the picturesque valley view, which was very refreshing for the eyes. The only con of the property is the approach road, a narrow lane which passes through congested neighborhood. The people do help you if you get stuck, but this can cause a few unpleasant surprises.
