We love this small resort with 6 rooms, opposed to the mass tourist resorts that Koh Samet has!”

It is located right ON the beach, which makes the vacation experience really very chill & relaxed! There are a lot of day-tourists that over-populate the beaches of Koh Samed. But somehow the wonderful staff of SummerDay Beach Resort manage to keep those tourists off ‘their’ piece of beach. That results in a more or less tranquil piece of beach just in front of your room / relaxing area, which makes the vacation very pleasant! The staff is very friendly and helps with all kind questions. The rooms and bathroom are clean, have everything you need and have a nice design that makes you feel at home. Thanks a lot SummerDay Beach Resort for making our vacation so relaxed! Next time we’re in Koh Samet, we surely will book with you again!

Perfect! We only wish we could have stayed longer”

We LOVE Summer Day Beach Resort!!! After spending a week whizzing around Thailand, we finally arrived on Koh Samet for 2 days of pure rest and relaxation and Summer Day Beach Resort was the perfect place for this! We chose to hire a speedboat from Ban Phe Pier which cost 2500baht return for 2 people. The journey took about 15 minutes and the boat dropped us on the beach right outside the hotel! Perfect! The hotel only has 6 rooms and all are just a few feet from the beach. We stayed in room 4 which offered the best view. The room was fantastic. Large, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Each room also has a small terrace with deck chairs which were lovely for the evening - we enjoyed sitting out and watching all of the activity along the beach. The beach is perfect. Soft, white sand and gentle, clear blue sea! It is a popular beach and is busy but not crowded and there are boats coming and going all the time so there is plenty to see! The hotel has a bar and serves food right on the beach. The menu is varied, affordable and very tasty! The only downside is, they stop serving food at 7:30pm and the bar closes at 9pm. However, if you do wish to eat/drink later, there are plenty of other hotels, restaurants and bars just a short stroll down the beach. Breakfast was included in the room rate and there was a good selection available. The service was excellent, although a lot of the staff didn't speak English and we speak very little Thai. They also called up the mainland to help arrange our return journey to Ban Phe which was very helpful! Sadly, we did not see the island of Koh Samet, opting to stay on the beach for the duration of our stay, but Summer Day Beach Resort made us feel like nowhere else existed! We were in a little bubble of paradise for 2 days and it was wonderful! Thank you Summer Day Beach Resort - we love you and can't wait to come back soon!

This hotel only offered 6 rooms all fronting the beach with less than 30 meters to the sea. The owner actually running the day to day operations with very attentive and responsive attitude. So far, me and my family, all 5 of us agreed that SummerDay is the best besch resort style hotel we have occupied so far. We definitely will return again whenever we come to Samet Island again.....to the SummerDay Beach Resort team.....pls keep up your good work....!!!

Cozy, small hotel with excellent food”

This seemed like one of the best options on Sai Kaew beach, and we weren't disappointed. The owner and staff were extremely attentive, the room was comfortable and with a great view. In total we were in Thailand for two weeks (here for about five days) and tried food all over the place, from street stalls to five-star resorts; the fish with red curry we had at SummerDay was easily the favorite. Highly recommended for a stay, or at the bare minimum, for some excellent cooking

Family Friendly Resort”

SummerDay Beach Resort is a rare find. It is truly a beachfront resort with an excellent team of staff. The resort stands next to a beach with clean white sand. The staff are always quick to keep the surroundings in tip-top cleanliness. The location is just 5 minutes walk from the nearest 7-Eleven. Particularly impressed by the resort staff. The staff are always ready to help and always ready to lend some good advice to travellers, even before we need to ask for it. They pay great attention to even the smallest details and always look out for us to ensure our stay is comfortable and stress free. They tend to the children with great care. Would definitely recommend this resort to a family with young children. This is a resort which feels like home.

Great beach location, extremely friendly service”

Our choice of SummerDay Resort was made through internet research because it was small (6 rooms only) right on the beach. Our room was comfortable and the staff was wonderful and friendly. In particular, praise is due to the manager/owner of the property for her readiness to accommodate her guest’s wishes. Getting to the island on the other hand was much more tedious than anticipated – a 3.5 hour bus ride (after missing one by 5 minutes and having to wait 1.5 hours at the Ekkamai bus station), arriving in the evening. Then we had to wait almost an hour before the boat captain decided after some argument from passengers to depart to the island. The bus and boat scheduling is far off from what is publically posted. Moreover, descending from the boat onto the island was precarious and involved jumping from one boat to another then to the dock with no docking plank provided. We are retirees and both of us hurt our shins in this crude procedure. A few observations regarding the island of Koh Samet, which is is within a national park. We were disappointed that the beach Hat Sai Kaeo, which in itself is a beautiful pearl of Nature, has its water and air greatly polluted by the vast number of motorized sea vehicles, in particular the excessive number of speed boats that continuously land on the beaches where people are trying to enjoy what they came for to the place. There seems to be no resource or environmental management at all. Also, there has not been any cohesive development of Koh Samet Village with its haphazard structures on its one narrow poorly paved road on which pedestrians, truck taxis and motorcycles barely co-exist.

The hidden paradise on Samed”

Absolutely a great stay in SummerDay as i booked the room 1 day in advance, despite the hotel only have a total of 6 rooms. The room is super comfy with full air con supply. The design of room is also romantic that perfect for couple to stay. Food quality is superb and with the view on sai kaew beach, i'd recommend this resort to others and will return for the next time

Nice little place at a more quiet spot.”

We had a great couple of days att SummerDay Beach Resort. The resort is located in between the party areas on Hat Sai Kaew. So you´re still close to the bars and restaurants but doesn´t get all the noise. The resort is only six rooms so you get a good contact with the staff. Particulary Todi (we think her name was) was very nice and helpful. The only negative we can come up with is that the double beds in the family room were not that big.

A sympathetic small hotel right at the beach. ”

Stayed one week in SummerDay Beach Resort in January 2013. Liked very much the hotel being small, sympathetic any in many ways different. The staff was friendly and helpful. Seaview right from the room. Rooms quite plain, but adequate, clean and stylish in a simple way. A nice experience to eat breakfast under the tree, toes dipped in the sand. After visiting enough other places and beaches on the island, it was relaxing just to chill right in front of the hotel. Also nice lunch did not try dinner there. Could choose again.

Beautiful Island”

I would say that if you visit Thailand you should put Koh Samet on your list of places to visit, the nearest thing to paradise in my view.You will need to pay 200 baht on arrival because it is controlled by the Thailand National Park. This fee is used to maintain the islands natural beauty. Summerday Hotel is not the cheapest, also not the most expensive and can highly recommend it. Small room but clean comfortable, has only 6 rooms so book up before you leave as very busy and popular. Staff helpful and food good, situated right on the beach and very close to the small town which is worth a visit. Two ways to the island, the cheapest is by bigger boat and takes about 2 hours, you will also have to find a way to your hotel as it has one stopping point. By speedboat a return ticket 1000 baht each takes 15 minutes and dropped us right by the Summerday Hotel.

wonderful experience at a wonderful boutique hotel”

summerday is such a wonderful place to stay! the rooms are large and equipped with a tv, dvd player, lots of fluffy towels, and a large and spacious bathroom. the resort is quite small, only about five or six rooms, which makes it even more perfect because it keeps the place peaceful and quiet. summerday is right on the beach (which is gorgeous, by the way. clear water, white sand, just heavenly). the staff are so sweet and attentive. look for pla and o. they're seriously the nicest people. the food is so good, the servings are fairly large. if you get sick of the mostly thai menu, there are many restaurants to choose from, most within ten minutes. our summerday experience was perfect! we're definitely coming back!

Maximum relaxation”

This is a 6 room hotel, right at White Sand Beach in Koh Samet. It's probably the best place to choose if you're gonna spend a lot of time at the beach. The fact that there are only 6 rooms means that you're gonna have a lot of beach for yourself since they don't allow other people than hotel guests to sit on the sun chairs. Perfect for families where parents might wanna take it easy while the kids run wild on the awesome beach. The hotel is close to the end of the beach, away from the noisiest parts but just 3 minutes from all the restaurants and stores. They have an own restaurant, good enough, but not as many choices as in other places and a bit more expensive. The owners and the personnel are very friendly and will do all they can to satisfy your needs and make you feel welcome. We certainly felt that way and loved it every minute.

Perfect stay”

We love travelling and this must be one of the best places we have ever been to. The staff is so friendly and nice. The rooms are cleaned every day. We had two big beds and slept with our two kids (3.5 year old and 9 months old) in between us. We had perfect evenings on the porch at night. The breakfast is lovely and right at the beach. They make up sunbeds for guests only, very personal. The beach is beautiful, clear water. I can't say enough good things about this place. We highly recommend it! Don't doubt it just book and look forwards to staying at a beautiful place. --> travel advice: we arrived at the airport in the morning and had booked a private carservice via oriental escape. The driver waited for us as we came out with the luggage and drove us in less than 3 hours to the pier. The car had babyseats. Then we took a private speedboat that dropped us off at the beach right in front of Summerday. We have already decided to come back in a few years!

Relaxing on the best location.”

We had 11 nights at this cosy and small resort,and we loved it! To wake up in the morning and just sit and enjoy the view and the good breakfast. The staff and owners takes so good care of you,and reserves the sunchairs for you every day...Always smiling and happy!The food and drinks are very good,and not expensive. The rooms are clean and modern designed,so nice! This small resort is situated at the most quiet place on Sai Kaew Beach,and the only place we would choose next time!We really recommend this resort!

Simplicity on the beach”

If your idea of a great vacation is to roll out of bed and hit the beach then this is the place for you. The rooms are simple but contain all you need: A/C, TV, clean sheets, hot shower. The real treat of Summerday is the staff. They were so nice and courteous it was almost like visiting friends. The breakfast was good and the beach is perfect for lounging and swimming in the ocean. Don't expect solitude, this is a busy beach, but I would go there again if I had the chance.

Nice Beach resort”

It was a pleasent stay at this hotel,first of all its really on the beach with veranda/ terrases overlooking the beach ,The staff are kind and helpful it was fullyboked for our 3 nights vacation so we had only 2 nights ,i think its becaue they only have totaly 6 rooms ,so if someone wanna book be early to book it The rooms was nice decorated with a nice bahtroom Nice flat tv on the wall and many channels If its something to comment so maybe it can be the price, 5000Baht/night todays rates ,but this island is little bit higher prices so i think anyway its worth it if you want a beach resort on the beach, I really recommend it to all who comes to Ko samet!

Lazy days at Summer Day Beach Resort”

We recently stayed at Summer Day Beach Resort and would recommend it. We had one of the corner rooms which was very clean and comfortable. The resort consists of just a few rooms directly accessed from the beach. Each of the rooms has a porch overlooking the view across the beach to the sea. Breakfast is served on the beach and although options are limited it was delicious. We spent most of our time just relaxing on the beach in front of the hotel or swimming in the sea. There are lots of bars and restaurants just a short walk away along the beach, but despite this there was very little noise in the room at night. The thing that we will most remember from our stay are the friendly and helpful staff.

3 nights at Summerday Beach resort was just a tease. 2 extra nights would have been perfect. Lazy afternoons on a veranda overlooking sand and sea, with a glass of your favorite beverage. Oh such bliss ! Attentive staff were happy to provide for all our needs. SummerDay is moments away from beach restaurants and bars, and a short walk to town. The constant coming and going of various speed boats and water craft, did little to detract from a near perfect location.

Amazing”

I stayed here based on the good reviews and I was blown away by how good of a stay it was. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the beach was amazing. I have stayed at several places in Koh Samet and I can't wait to return to Summer day again!
