A hidden treasure”

We hired a car in Bangkok and drove towards the Golden Triangle area (Chiang Rai) over two days. Sukhothai Heritage resort was our first stop and it easy to find using the GPS. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and we took advantage of the spa and massage offers after a long day's drive. The rooms were very spacious, tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds and impeccable bathrooms. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Built in gorgeous regional-style architecture, surrounded by an organic orchid farm, corn fields and located very close to the local airport. Our rooms had a direct door to the swimming pool, which was fully appreciated by the children. Free wi-fi throughout. The only thing we regret is not having booked two nights, because we were too tired to visit the Sukhothai ruins (a UNESCO heritage site) and the following day we had to set off early for the rest of the journey. Next time we'll stay longer!

Beautiful and Serene!”

I loved my stay at the Sukhothai Heritage Resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful.The hotel has been open a few years but feels new. It is near the airport an I only stayed 1 night. I saw that there were bicycles for riding around the area, and beautiful places to ride and go see in the uniquely beautiful Sukhothai airport complex. The hotel is not near restaurants or the Sukhothai Heritage Park but the food there was good and I never mind taking transport to where I need to go. I stayed at Boon Lott's Elephant Sanctuary in Si Satchenalai, about 45 minutes away,before coming here. This is a great option for the night before an early flight after an exhilerating and beautiful visit to BLES. By the way, you really want to try and visit BLES!

I have stayed at this lovely hotel located right at the Sukhothai Airport 6 times now over the 10 years it has been open. Does not disappoint. Transportation from the airport, staff they can’t do enough for you, comfortable rooms at reasonable prices for the 4 star Thai experience! The breakfast buffet is good and the restaurant is also good for dinner. We much prefer this hotel to any other in Sukhothai. We also stayed at the three were lying next to the historic Park. It’s location is great and the hotel is good too. The super tight heritage resort at the airport it’s a great place to stay for an extra day for quiet to rest and relax. We recommend the deluxe poolside room and as it is larger than the superior rooms and has a bathtub and rain shower.

i only wish i could stay longer!!”

My only regret with Sukhothai Heritage Resort is that we weren't able to stay longer & enjoy the place more. The resort by itself is beautiful - lovely traditional architecture, complete with a serene pond in the middle of the outdoor courtyard once you pass through the lobby / check-in area. It is also clear that management took great care to think of their guests' every need: not only did they have a lovely swimming pool (pretty much a standard nowadays), they also had a small library and game room where some books & board games were available for guest use. The rooms were HUGE and beautifully decorated. There was even a small nook in one corner, like a window seat, which was perfect for curling up at night with a good book. The bathrooms were also quite spacious, with a shower and a separate tub and more than adequate counter space & closet space. The beds were to die for, I had such a good sleep during the 1 night we stayed here. The only downside was dinner on our first night - we went downstairs to have dinner at the in-house restaurant, only to be told they were fully booked. We ended up going back to our room & ordering room service instead. I'm not sure if this is a regular occurrence or only because it was the 30th of December and the hotel was probably booked to the gills with guests...

Relaxing”

Sukhothai Heritage Resort provided what we were looking for with a couple of my friends. We needed to relax, rest, see different parts of historical Thailand. The staff were attentive, helpful and kind. They provided help for everything such as transportation and travel tips. The surrounding was exceptional. Loved the eco friendly rice farming fields, and ponds full of large pink water lilies. It was the prettiest airport I have ever seen in my life and just 5 minutes to the hotel and the mini zoo of giraffes, zebras and kangaroos at the airport gave us a big smile when we landed.

Bliss before or after a flight to Sukhothai”

The Heritage Resort is highly recommended if flying into or out of Sukhothai airport. It is beautifully designed with all the amenities you will need. The rooms are well equipped with large bathrooms, rain showers, cable TV and wireless internet. The food served at the restraunt was the best I have tasted in Thailand. The smiles are on all the faces of the many attentive staff. The hospitality is not faked or put on it is genuine. I rented a car for business meetings so the 30 minute drive into the Sukhothai Historical Park was not a problem for me. The distance from the park is the oly drawback of the location. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Consider it for a break between Chiang Mai and BKK.

Sukhothai Heritage Resort”

Sukhothai Heritage Resort was a very pleasant place to stay. The unique transport from the airport in an open shuttle bus set the scene for a memorable experience.The staff were polite, friendly and helpful.The deluxw room was very clean ,spacious and well equipped.The included breakfast was delicious.Seeing the festival in the Old city was a highlight of our trip. The only improvement would be the provision of more transport options for touring in the area.

the epitome of thai friendliness”

the staff at heritage resort are the friendliest, and most genuine, i have found in 4 months in thailand. my fiancee and i have invited three of the staff to our wedding. they were so unobtrusive, but there if you needed them, and would spend time chatting if we wanted. thai and western breakfast is served. the resort is next to sukhothai airport (free transfers). the resort is away from shops etc., which is wonderful. we hired a car and driver, from the hotel, one day. total, including petrol. and agoda made the booking so easy (and cheap !!!).

Good value”

Staff was friendly, pools were great--clean, big, not cold. They have free bikes to rent, and a very safe wide flat bike path that goes from the hotel to the Sukhothai airport, where you can visit the organic farm (and eat there), or look at animals, orchids, a small replica of Angkor Wat, and planes taking off. Hotel is about 30 minutes from Sukhothai historical park and 30 minutes from Si Satchanalai historical park. We stayed first in a hotel that was two minutes from Sukhothai historical park, and we paid more for the rooms there but the hotel, pool, and food were not nearly as nice as Sukhothai Heritage Resort.

Great hotel, close to Sukhothai airport”

have stayed at the sukhothai heritage resort several times the last 2 years and the staff is very helpful and friendly and english is good. complimentary wireless internet, pool and an outdoors library with pc. breakfast is ok, but not at all spectacular. have not had dinner there, so i cannot comment on that. all in all a very nice hotel in contemporary thai style and a friendly staff. quiet and family friendly and reasonably close to the sights in si satchanalai and sukhothai. from my experience; staff will pick you up at the airport if you let them know when you're arriving. parking available, if required.

Spacious with hospitality to match.”

We stayed here for one night with a very good deal from Agoda. Everyone in our group was so pleased with their rooms and hotel ambience which immediately refreshed us after long day of traveling and sighting. The breakfast was very good though not many varieties were offered. Although the hotel is quite close to the private airport (same owner as the hotel, which makes it very convenient for package tour travelers), we didn't hear any disturbing noises from the planes. The hotel is strategically located midway between the two historical parks, making the property a very good base for visting both sites. However, this location also puts it a bit away from the town center of Sukhothai. The nearest town of Sawankhalok is also 14 km away. Overall, it is a very nice, comfortable place that ensures travelers a good rest with two rectangular swimming pools, spa and other standard amenities 4-5 star hotel should have. By the way, only one minor complaint I had was with the old style room key which is big, heavy and difficult to lock and unlock.

Impressive!”

If you're not arriving Sukhothai by plane, this hotel may be a bit in a middle of nowhere even though it's in between Sukhothai historical park and Sri Satchanalai historical park. To drive to the hotel in the deserted country road in the middle of the night is quite dangerous. However, the overall of this hotel was very impressive. The hotel itself, the rooms, the staffs, the scenics, and the unique airport were impressive. Highly recommended!

Amazing Resort”

Resort is located in the compound of sukhotai airport. Dont let it turn you off as it is so quiet and peaceful. Our stay was made more enjoyable as within the grounds there was a zoo with giraffes fowls swans etc and a soon to be open museum featuring dinasours and petrified wood. We also enjoyed the little organic farm and restaurant nearby and would recommend it to anyone visiting sukhothai.

Quiet, comfortable, relaxing”

We like this hotel because it is so quiet and peaceful. Surrounded by organic rice fields and orchards, you can borrow a bike and go for rides near the fields. The food es excellent, you can relax by the pool, have cocktails at the bar and check your emails with fast, free wifi internet throughout the hotel. Have a traditional Thai massage or go for a walk early in the morning. The ancient ruins of Sukhothai are 40 min drive away, they are absolutlely fantastic - as beautiful as Angkor Wat but without the crowds. The hotel is right next to a small airport, but it is very quiet with only one or two flights a day.

Beautiful resort, friendly staff ”

Incredibly beautiful resort and remarkably friendly staff, our stay was wonderful. The only drawback was the distance from the town of Sukhothai (although if you want to be close to the airport, this place is it.)

Better than good”

My wife and I chose the Heritage to visit Sukhothai. It is undoubtedly the best hotel within the area. Forget the others for they are nowhere near as good as they boast - we checked out the supposed number one hotel in the area according to Trip Advisor, and it just does not compare. The other so called museum gallery hotel also is well below the hype it describes itself. In the Sukhothai Heritage Resort I find an honest 4 star resort that is quiet and friendly, and the rate could not be beat.

An oasis next to Sukhothai airport”

Amazing facilities and excelent food and service. Free bikes to explore the surrounding areas. Need a car if you want to visit the city of Sukhothai and the Heritage Site.

Nice and relax place to stay.”

The hotel is right within the airport area. It is not far from the heritage sight but you still need a private vehicle to go there. The hotel itself is peaceful and relaxing. I wouldn't mind spending the whole day here. We had diner at the hotel and the food is good and tasty. Breakfast buffet was also great with some range of Thai and western menu.

Lovely hotel - quiet sanctuary - need car”

We enjoy our stay very much, and we rented a car so no problem getting around. This is one of the nicer hotel in Sukhothai and close to Sukhothai airport but a bit of a drive from historical parks (don't try to bike from the hotel). Overall good service, clean facility, beautiful pool and good food. Not expensive at all... a great trip. We would stay here again.
