My girlfriend booked this hotel because it was a closest motel for us to stay in to watch the MotoGP”

If you ask me the name of the city or even the province or District where this hotel is I have no idea. Only booked it for the MotoGP and it was actually in the middle of nowhere. But middle of nowhere in Thailand means people are friendly people are giving and they want to make you happy. Had a beautiful view of Mighty Old River which I love and next time I would love to spend some time just in the area because this is authentic Thailand. The host could speak English and I don't think breakfast was included with my booking but it was given with pleasure. Probably one of my favorite places to stay in Thailand and pretty much one of the cheapest

Average hotel, good for money ”

The cons are there are too many ants, come like an army. Bathroom faucet was 90 % clogged, I showed to the reception but he did not fix the problem. Curtain is like those plastic ones you see on the buses, like paper. My room was next to the hotel sign so my room was very bright inside. Towels were old, turned to gray color. Pros are, very friendly employees, cheap, bed is large and comfy, quiet hotel.

A unique experience.”

Who would expect a hotel in Tha Tum. Well, there is one and it is all very special. The hotel is located in a part of a shop house complex. My room (a de luxe single bed) was in a shophouse at street level. So I entered my room straight from the street via sliding doors. Don’t worry as it is very and very quiet in Tha Tum. I was warmly welcomed by the manager who spoke very well English. He is trying to make most of it by being as efficient as possible. He himself is assisting with breakfast and the receptionist is servicing guests at breakfast as well as cleaning the rooms. The hotel has a restaurant on the second floor, but behind the place on the Mun river is a floating restaurant with an extensive menu for very reasonable prices. The excellent food is cooked in the main building and is transported by cable to the pontoon. Staff is very friendly and will do whatever is required to give you a pleasant stay. Note that for them some basic Thai language skills are recommended. All in all a unique experience.

Close to everything in Tha Tum”

First problem was room, the manager who cannot speak English showed us a vip room then a double room, nothing else. We chose the double; when it come to checkout she demanded more money and said we had chosen a vip room (not true)! We said standard room, so she showed us a standard room and it was bigger than our room but with a lower king size bed; we said why did you not show us this nice room, she just shrugged. Turned out the supposed vip room we were in was vip because it had sat tv; non of which were in english!

บรรยากาศที่นี่สงบ ห้องพักกว้างขวางดี อุปกรณ์ที่มีให้ก็พอเหมาะกับราคาห้องพัก ราคาห้องพักนับว่าถูกมาก แต่วันนั้นที่ไปเจอคือ ในห้องนอนมีแมงมุมบ้านตัวใหญ่ๆอยู่ด้วย ก็เลยขอเปลี่ยนห้อง เขาก็บริการให้ดีนะ เป็นกันเอง แต่คิดว่าถ้าทำความสะอาดดีกว่านี้ น่าจะไล่แมงมุมตัวนั้นออกไปได้ ถ้าใครที่กลัวแมงมุมมาเจอเข้าจะนอนไม่หลับ ผวาแน่นอน
