Beijing XinQiao Hotel
Wangfujing Street & Forbidden City,Beijing - View on map
"We have been choosing a hotel in Beijing for more than 2 days (fortunately, my wife was doing most of that job) and, as result, we finally chose the Novotel Xian Qiao Hotel Beijing and now we may definitely state that we made a right choice. Most of the Beijing sites of interest are either in the walking distance (the Tiananmen square, the Forbidden city, the Temple of Heaven, and even the Beihai park), or they can be easily reached by metro or by bus - the public transportation is quite good in Peking. Our advice is to maximally walk about the city to feel its spirit. Moreover, imho, it's better to use different city restaurants to be acquanted with the Chinese quisine. To visit the Great Wall, we used the hotel tour service, and we were also satisfied with the quality of that tour."

Grand Millennium Beijing
CBD/Guomao,Beijing - View on map
"Superb 5-star standard, alot of staff on the ground and always looking out to see what you need. They are also innovative to help use a taxi booking app for your needs instead of letting you stand at the lobby for the elusive passing by taxis like most hotels do. Room is large, bed very comfortable and housekeeper always available; just flick your switch and they will make up your room even if its the third time. Business centre was closed when we are there, but they allowed me to visit the executive floor to use their printer for a small fee (CNY 21 to copy 4 sheets). Its my favourite hotel in Beijing, won't go anywhere else."

Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel
Wangfujing Street & Forbidden City,Beijing - View on map
"The hotel isn't too bad but just not perfect. Overall rooms and services are ok. Breakfast is the pretty much the same stuff every day although there is a relative wide spread. The hotel is not inconvenient but it is not within close walking distance. Perhaps the few minutes of walking would be tolerable but in the summer heat, any minute less in the heat would be good. The nearest subway about 5 minutes away is the Cultural Center station but it requires multiple changes of lines to get to most of the attractions in Beijing. Wasn't as convenient as if you would stay near Line 1 or 2 or 4/5. Overall, the price isn't cheap too and can be considered steep. For the price, much more is expected. Hotel staff at breakfast also needs to explain more about the signing of the bill every morning for the breakfast before guest misunderstood that we may need to pay for breakfast when it's included in our package. Pool wasn't too bad with a slightly hot tub besides it. Didn't go to the gym. "

Ascott Riverside Garden Beijing
Jinsong / Panjiayuan,Beijing - View on map
"Although far away from the central tourist activities in Beijing, the Ascott is a lovely place to stay — more like a spa than a hotel. The staff is lovely and speaks more English than one often finds in Beijing. The breakfast each morning was quite extensive, offering both Chinese and Western dishes as well as omelettes on demand. And the room was beautiful — spacious and luxurious. Travelers should know that the nearest subway stop is a ~20 - ~25 minute walk from the property. They should also know that Google Maps doesn't seem to map the correct location for the property."

InterContinental Beijing Sanlitun
Sanlitun Bar St. & Embassy Area,Beijing - View on map
"This is not a cheap hotel, but if you are looking for a high-quality experience it is definitely a good option. The rooms are clean, modern and spacious; the facilities (gym, pool, sauna) are excellent; and the breakfast was also very good. It's also in a central shopping/dining/drinking area of Beijing, with many places within walking distance and the subway about a 5-10n min walk away. One minor gripe: the pool does not accommodate serious swimming exercise well, since there is no separation between the shallow/children's area and the rest of the pool. "

Holiday Inn Beijing Chang An West
Haidian District,Beijing - View on map
"Wukesong is actually not an ideal location for tourists. There isn't much to see in this part of Beijing but I was here for a concert at Wukesong Stadium so it was ideal since it was close (i.e. in walking distance) to the subway station and to the stadium. If you are taking the subway and walking, the street signs are actually perpendicular to the street that you are walking on (I only mention this as a tip since I got lost and walked much farther than I had to from the station to the hotel). Check in time is also at 2pm, which I had assumed to be 12pm for some reason. The receptionist was asking us to come back at 4pm even though we had arrived around 1pm but we were tired and desperate to shower so after talking to their manager, he agreed to clean up the room asap and check us in. So plan for a late check in. The room and bathroom were nice and clean, but the room did smell a little weird. I didn't eat or use any of their facilities but there are quite a few small restaurants close by. If you need a map of Beijing, the hotel can provide you with one and the receptionists can give you directions to some extent. "

"I was looking for a hotel in Beijing that is close to the airport and city center. Hilton Beijing Hotel fits these criteria. The hotel offers international standard, the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel gym is very functional with a good choice of working out equipments. I will return to Hilton Beijing Hotel for my next trip. "

"Our stay was ok. It was my birthday and the staff brought me a cake which was so nice. We stayed there because of the pool but we're disappointed that the big pool wasn't for kids. We even had to sign something that kids under 5 couldn't go to the kids pool, but thankfully they let us anyways. They also demanded we wear swim caps which we had to buy. I have travelled a lot in Asia and never had so many rules to follow. There are better hotels in Beijing for young kids "

"What a regretful experience and hotel choice! Had to stay in that area of the city for business meetings. Hotel seemed reasonable and price point was attractive. Worse hospitality I've seen in ages. Except for one person, the entire staff was hostile and extremely unhelpful. Definitely not the kind of stay for foreigners visiting China. "
