My spouse and I stayed in a twin room for three nights and had a very comfortable stay. The hotel is located right in the heart of Myeong-dong, just a short walk from exit 8 of Myeong-dong Station. Convenience stores, food stalls, and Korean barbecue restaurants are all located in the hotel's vicinity. The airport limousine bus stop (6015) is also nearby (near exit 8 of Myeong-dong Station), making the bus a recommended mode of transportation for both arrival and departure. The schedule for the limousine bus to Incheon Airport was also posted near the elevator on the lobby floor. During our trip, my spouse injured their foot due to fatigue, but thanks to the hotel's excellent location, we were able to take a break and rest without overexerting ourselves. The room was well-maintained, and towels were provided, including bath towels and face towels, which were thick and sturdy. The hairdryer was very powerful, and the room was dry, so our hair dried quickly. For those who are concerned about dryness, there is a humidifier in the room, so there is no need to worry! Every day, one bottle of water per person was replenished, and we were able to fill up our water bottles in the hot water supply room on the guest room floor. The coin laundry room is located on the 6th floor, and detergent can be purchased from the vending machine next to the lobby (detergent costs ₩1,000 per packet, and payment can be made by credit card). The water pressure was good, and the electrical outlets were compatible with Japanese plugs. The staff at the lobby were fluent in Japanese, so we had no trouble communicating with them. Although we had no plans to eat breakfast, we enjoyed the buffet every day, which was delicious (although not a luxurious menu, it was reasonably satisfying). It was nice to have a leisurely breakfast while overlooking the Myeong-dong Cathedral. We would like to stay here again when we visit Korea in the future.

As expected of a Japanese hotel, the facilities were just like those of a Japanese business hotel. The toilets and baths were made by Japanese manufacturers, so they were easy to use as usual. The water pressure from the shower was the strongest I've experienced, including in Japan, and hot water came out instantly. Although the room was said to have no windows, in reality, the sink faced a window, and by adjusting the blinds, I could see outside. I enjoyed doing my makeup while looking at the view of Myeong-dong Cathedral in front of me. The location was perfect, right in the middle of Myeong-dong, and it was convenient to stop by the room to drop off shopping bags. The staff were all kind and friendly, and even the Korean staff spoke fluent Japanese. The only downside was that it was slightly more expensive than my desired price range, but it was so comfortable that I didn't want to stay at any other hotel. I would definitely like to stay here again.

When traveling to Korea, you should stay at a hotel in Myeong-dong. Japanese hotels are also good because they are familiar and have separate toilets. Taxis cannot enter the hotel before 10am to 11pm, but it is located right next to Exit 8 of Myeong-dong Station, and there are supermarkets and cosmetic shops around. Eating at the food stalls late at night was like a dream, and we were able to relax because we didn't have to worry about getting home. On the last day, we had a lot of luggage, so we went to buy a suitcase at 10:30am. We even got a discount of 30,000 won. The room size was just right and easy to use. We stayed for three nights and didn't clean the room, but we were given towels and water in front of the door. My Japanese friend is Catholic, so when I asked for a view of Myeong-dong Cathedral, they were happy to accommodate us. On the way back, it was raining, so we asked for a taxi to come to the hotel, and the driver came to pick us up at the lobby. They even carried our luggage to the airport, and we had a luxurious trip. It was a bit expensive, but the taxi from Myeong-dong to Incheon International Airport was 51,000 won. We have decided to stay at the Solia Nishitetsu Hotel Seoul Myeong-dong again next time.

As soon as you leave the hotel, you are on the main street where you can buy cosmetics and souvenirs and easily return to the hotel to rest and then go out to play again. It was also very convenient that E-Mart was about a 2-minute walk away. There was also a wowPASS machine at the hotel front desk (21st floor) where you can create and charge cards. If you ask the front desk separately, they will charge your Tmoney wallet, which is another wallet inside wowPASS, so you can charge it without going to the station, which was very convenient. During my stay, I was able to pay for everything, including restaurants, souvenirs, buses, and taxis, with wowPASS. The staff at the hotel front desk were all good at Japanese, so I felt relieved. If you have a lot of souvenirs, you can buy an EMS box at the front desk and send it easily. The room was also clean and comfortable with a separate bath and toilet. It was also a plus that there was a water dispenser on each floor that not only dispensed water and hot water but also ice. I was worried about the comments that said the stairs were difficult, but they were only about 3 or 4 steps or just a small step, so I didn't have to worry at all. Excellent location and comfortable stay”
I am very happy with my stay at Solaria. Don’t be fool by the 4 star hotel status. As my taxi driver dropped me off at the back hotel entrance, I rang the hotel and the helpful staff came out to my rescue and brought me to the front main entrance. Truly appreciate this gesture especially when it’s midnight, alone and in a foreign land. The room and amenities were excellent! I did a lot of research and comparison before settling for Solaria and I am truly happy. Toilet, bathroom with the shower and bath tub being separate is a priority for me and for an older hotel the hotel is in excellent condition. The layout of the room is perfect. Towels were changed daily and drip coffee sachets were replaced. The clothing spray is a bonus as everyone goes for k bbq in Korea and the spray definitely eliminate any bbq smell on the clothing. Just a slight disappointment to know the lounge bar opens only from 12-3pm else it would have been lovely to sit at the bar and enjoy the beautiful view that solaria offers. Also a note to check if you arrive between 11pm-10am you can have your car stop at the front of hotel else it’s just a short walk away to another nearby hotel or train station for drop off/pickup. Not an issue at all as everything is near. All in all, if you are fussy about room layout, wants a comfortable bed, clean room, very central location (but no noise issue at all!) and helpful staff this is definitely a hotel to go for!
