The best hotel in the middle of Myeongdong ”
Stayed here from December09-13 with my husband and daughter. Booked the standard triple room and I would definitely recommend it. Room is large with 2sofas and a big TV. Daily supply of drip coffee and water for drinking despite the free filtered water station in every floor where a microwave was available for use, too. The separate comfort room from the bathroom was very useful. We were also supplied with three nightgowns every night. We arrived at 10:00am so they stored our luggage first for the 3:00pm check in. Check out is at 12:00noon but they stored our luggage since our flight was at 12:40am the next day. We had to pay 22,000 Korean won for the extra hour we requested for late check out. Lobby on the 21st floor is big and we stayed there for a couple of hours before our flight. There’s also a coin laundry on the 6th floor, 3,000 Korean won per load on the washer and another 3,000 Korean won for the dryer. The hotel is in the middle of Myeongdong with shops and restaurants around it. The Airport Limousine Bus stop was about 3-4minutes walk only as well as the exit/entrance of the subway.

Tremendous value for solo travelers”
This is a fantastic "bang for your buck" hotel right in the heart of the Myeong-dong shopping, coffee, and restaurants. It has better than expected amenities (shower/tub combo, touch screen controls, fancy toilet, etc.) in the room. I was very pleasantly surprised how nice this hotel was for the price I paid. It was a great way to start my trip. I highly recommend this for solo travelers. This is a fantastic location for the middle of Seoul if you plan to bounce around to the different neighborhoods. I guess you could compare it be sort of the "Times Square" of New York City. You are a 20-30 minute train ride from Hongdae, Gangham, and Itaewon. The hotel is a short walk to the subway and its a short ride to Seoul station if you need to go further. One note: When you're looking at the Google Street View, the entrance you want to come in is next to a Foot Locker now (it used to be Forever 21 but Foot Locker took it over).

Best in Myeongdong”
This hotel is like a boutique hotel yet everything is complete. The design team has done a good job! The hotel room is elegant and comfortable, although is quite a small space but still managed to place my big luggage and yet have a dressing table with a mirror ( A big plus point for me). The bathroom has an anti-slip mat which most of the hotels I have stayed at never cared about this. The Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great as well, near to the shopping area and train station. Defetnently will come back again for my next trip to Seoul!

If you're travelling to Korea on your own for the first time, then Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Seoul may be the right stay for you. Room provided was neat, tidy and clean, perfect after a long day of sightseeing. Bathrooms were modern, bright and spotless. Here's to hoping that the hotel continues this exceptional standard. Special mention must go to the staff as well for helping with the country's mandatory covid test procedures and arranging bookings like taxis, day tours, etc. Hotel is relatively new and located at the most strategic location, a few walks away from the Myeongdong Subway Station that will take you anywhere. Everything's good about the stay here and one little nitpick would be if they could improve on the breakfast spread and offer more dishes. But in a neighbourhood filled with local food and delicious delights, you'd be a fool to just depend on hotel food alone. Great location and price”
The hotel is located in the heart of the Myeongdong shopping district and is near to the Myeongdong subway station on Line 4. There are also several bus stops nearby that are also within walking distance, which can get you to other major tourist sights. The room is quite compact but has all the amenities for guests to feel comfortable. I appreciate the shower area is separate from the toilet (which had a bidet system) and also other small details such as complimentary drip coffee packets, a soft & hard pillow, fragrance mist in the cupboard, and even a humidifier. There is also a coin laundry & dryer conveniently located on the 6th floor. Overall a really great hotel for the price and would highly recommend!

The hotel is located in the heart of Myeongdong, which has pros and cons. Pros are it is a 2 to 3min walk to subway. Exit 7 has escalators but they seem to break down frequently so those with luggage - be warned. There are also no lifts or escalators from train exit level to concourse level (ticket barriers). The hotel is very clean and the rooms looked well maintained and luxurious. A deep bathtub and seperate toilet area were lovely touches. The beds werent the most comfortable (a tad hard) but it seems to be common in Korea. The hotels is in a very pedestrian heavy part of Myeongdong. You can get dropped off in front of hotel contrary to what hotel listing says but the later in the day it is (after 3pm), the harder it is for the taxi to get through. You have to walk to the main road to hail a cab so those looking for airport rides must book the day before. The shopping around the Myeongdong is limited to tourist traps (make up, $2 type stores and snacks to bring back home). Some international brands but better shopping is to be had elsewhere. If given the opportunity to come to seoul, I would prefer to stay around Itaewon, Namdaemun, or Gangnam.

Extremely satisfied”
I stayed here for 5 nights. Pros: 1) This hotel is quite new and really clean. 2) Room is spacious with separate toilet and bathroom. Bath tab is really huge. Water pressure is strong. You need access card to access the floor, so it's really safe. 3) I paid $18 for the breakfast. I'm extremely satisfied with the taste and variety. 4) I arrived around 7AM and managed to left my luggage to go out while waiting to check in at 3PM. 5) Location is extremely good. You just go down and you are already in the middle of Myeongdong Shopping area. Namdaemun is only 10 minutes walk. Bas stop and Subway Meyongdong station is only less than 5 minutes walk. Cons: Nothing Overall: I will definitely stay here again.

Pleasant and well appointed”
We loved our stay at this hotel. The room, while not spacious was perfectly adequate space. It was clean and modern and located in a great neighborhood. Just fyi - it’s a pedestrian only neighborhood a so one must walk several blocks to get any public transportation or a taxi. But there’s lots of shops and restaurants and activity in the day and evening. The room comes with all the usual amenities plus a toilet that is steed to lift its lid when you approach and acts as a bidet with a strip of buttons to choose functions, position and intensity of the water stream. Beds were comfortable.

Clean, luxe and good service”
Wished we stayed here for more nights, but Solaria impressed us the moment we set foot into the hotel as the reception staffs could speak so many languages! The hotel is also convenient located in Myeongdong right in front of the famous Myeongdong dumplings. Room was clean and nice with a huge shower room (with tub!) but the toilet cubicle (toilet bowl) was incredibly small, literally had to pivot on the spot. Room was also a tad tiny, we had to move sideways when two luggage were open. But we appreciate that the hotel offered luggage storage for free (which turns out to be privilege after we stayed at Acube Hotel shrug).

Room is quiet and clean, and beds are comfortable and big! Hotel also provides 2 water bottles everyday which is good for tourist. Toothpast, toothbrush, comb and cotton buds/wool are all provided. Only cons through the stay is the drainage smell of the toilet might stink at certain time of the day. Not sure why tho. Other than that everything is good.

Love the location! It’s just in the center of the shopping street. Very accessible. The room is 5/5! Love how clean and cozy the room is. The bath tub is great and there’s a vending machine for bath bomb… otherwise Lush is just around the corner too. There’s a dispenser for water and ice at the level. Staff are thoughtful and helpful. It’ll be a bonus if there’s a gym. Will consider coming back again 🥰

Great place, great service and staff. The location was perfect. Plenty of street food and shops around the hotel. Solaria was also in such a prime location where it was close to two main train stations. Also, the rooms were stunning and clean. Would definitely book this hotel agaiin

5-star gem in the middle of Myeongdong”
This hotel rates themselves 3-star but 5 stars await us. The sizeable triple room was very well-appointed with good lighting and nice touches. The icing on the cake was the separate toilet and bath facilities; a Japanese toilet for an interesting experience and a nice, deep bathtub to ease the tensions of the day. The location is simply superb. Don't forget to try Michelin's recommended Myeongdong Kyoja a few steps from the ground floor. Many more options are a hop, skip and jump away. The staff (Park, Lee, Kim) was attentive and professional. No complaints, only compliments. Highly recommended.

Convenient and very clean”
Hotel looks super new and well-maintained. Room is always clean, with sheets, towels and robes always replaced. Shower liquids smell nice and toilet is equipped with Japanese toilet bowl (but not heated :)). I like that despite the room being small, everything is well-appointed. The hotel is a 5-min walk from Myeongdong Stn and in front of a Michelin-starred resto (Kyoja). The only con is that the lobby is on the topmost floor.

Besides the fact that the washroom sink/drainage had a bad stench (only overwhelming when using the toilet so that wasn’t too pleasant), the stay was lovely. Please also note that the hotel does not provide toothbrush/toothpaste and some toiletries but they can be bought at the vending machine located in the lobby. Room was cleaned well daily, adequately warm, and had sufficient space for 2 pax with 2 big luggage. The Japanese style allowed for good usage of space and our room even had a bath tub.

Fantastic location in the heart of Myeongdong. Room was well appointed with every comfort taken care of. Perks included a Toto toilet with bidet built in and a deep bath - perfect for soaking in the middle of Winter. We were sad to leave after 4 nights. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Seoul Myeongdong VAT Tax Refund Hotel”
I didn't know that VAT is refundable for hotel stay in Korea till I check-in Solaria Nishitetsu Myeongdong Hotel. When I paid upon check-in, front desk staff gave me tax invoice together with tax refund document & guide then I only realised VAT refundable for this hotel which is really great. Room is spacious with spacious bathroom with bathtub & water pressure is very good. Will certainly come back to stay here again on my next Seoul visit

Good location, convenient for tourists ”
Location: Right in the heart of Myeongdong shopping street, three minutes walk to Myeongdong subway station. Lots of shops and restaurants around the hotel. Staff: Mostly were polite and helpful, including the room cleaner. My wife was sick during our trip and I had to constantly ask the front desk to freeze ice packs and they were helpful. Room: For the price we paid (no breakfast, booked few months in advance is good value), the furnitures are decent, and quite typical of Japanese hotel, the ceiling is not very high. I just feel there are too many furnitures in the room i.e sofa bed, ottoman or side tables could potentially be removed and the room would feel more spacious. Cleanliness: Pretty good, the room gets dusty quite easily, I think it’s coming from the aircon outlet. Facilities: I am quite impressed, our room was next to the room that has microwave, hot/cold water dispenser and ice machine. There is also coined laundry/drier on level 6 and it’s clean, this is very handy for long stayer.
