1) Worth the money! 2) Friendly and helpful staff! 3) The room is clean and we were able to sleep very well (sometimes if you're unlucky when choosing accommodation in Korea, you might get/feel 'itchy', due to IDK, either dust, mites, or else?) 4) Upon request and availability, the hotel let me to have an early check-in and have connected stay without check out and re-check in again (I booked 1 day at first, and then booked another 1 day on the morning of 2nd day) 5. If it's your first time visiting Sokcho and Sockho Eye, pay extra and go for the room with Sokcho Eye view!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect, right next to the beach and the bus terminal. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Most of all, the view was amazing.

2022 East coast trip”
We spent the east coast trip with our adult son here in Sokcho. The Chonpines was the best choice to accommodate our needs. Close proximity to the beach, just walk across from the hotel lobby. Good services available out front, beer, food, etc. Ample parking and just overall excellent. Our Korean Hosts are the most hospitable folks around. It made for a great memory for us all.

The chopines was a very good hotel with plenty of room for our 4-night tour of Sokcho. There were plenty of nice shops in the front of the hotel to enjoy, especially the Voila Cafe with its homemade nitrogen ice cream and a fine selection of coffee drinks. It was easily within walking distance to the new Sokcho Eye Ferris wheel and Sokcho beach. Plentiful parking and a great spot to begin the day. It is our new destination hotel whenever we visit Sokcho.

Best hotel throughout my South Korea trip!”
Literally had the best sleep for the 3 nights I was here. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Housekeeping dropped off fresh towels and shower necessities on the 2nd day. Not fussed about getting my room made as I usually prefer not to have housekeeping for shorter stays. The only improvement would be to have an internal lock. As a solo traveller, this was something I would have appreciated. Reception doesn’t speak much English, but nothing google translate can’t solve!

Pros- clean, tidy, nice bathroom, nice bed, close to beach, close to bus stop that takes you to town or up to the mountain, close to express bus stop, has washing machine Cons- no dryer and no where to hang clothes, has stove top but not allowed to use it, no plates, cutlery, teatowels, dish wash liquid, nothing lol. It was a bit weird actually. Kitchen but nothing in it.

Good location very close to Sokcho beach. Downstairs with the convenience store and some restaurants down the street. I was booked the room with partial beach view, surprisingly it has the sunrise view in the morning. Overall a pleasant stay and value for money.

Beachfront ”
The hotel is just by the beach and within walking distance to the Ferris wheel. There are other hotels/ residences sharing the same block as Chonpines - but no impact on the stay there. There are quite a few convenience stores and coffee places around the hotel There are limited parking spots within the buildings though. It’s a challenge to find proper parking,especially when we went over a long weekend public holiday.

Great hotel ”
Took a while to find the entrance of the hotel as there was no signs but after checking in it was all good. I think I got upgraded as i did not book the Sokcho eye view but somehow got the room with the view. The view was really nice especially at night with the lights but most shops nearby close pretty early so after 8pm the area becomes quiet. The beach is just across the road and lots of cafe around the area. It is walkable to the light house (not very close though) with many cafes facing the ocean. The room itself is really spacious, especially for me alone. The shower and toilet area is huge and there’s even a sitting area to chill. Would be a great size for couples as well. There is a very small balcony as well to enjoy the view. Overall it’s a really great place for the price paid and the city of sokcho is super chill and would definitely want to come back.

Arrived Sokcho late night, missed the check-in available time, luckily still can check-in. Staff are kind and polite. Hotel location is close to express bus station and beach, very convenient and room facilities are good, only except the bed sheets has some stain.
