Fun in the sun...”
Three of us stayed at Sinsamut Hotel for a short trip from Bangkok and it was great. We enjoyed the location, the atmosphere and accommodation. In the evening had a wonderful fish meal at the hotel's beach side restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to all travelers staying just a few days. Rooms are small, but comfortably furnished, air-condition was working fine, however a bit noisy if you have loud neighbors.

Beachfront in a paradise”
It was easy to find this resort and it's popular when we asked locals. When using the wifi, the receptionist will only give you 1 paper that can connect to 2 devices. You have to login every time you get disconnected or idle. The internet is fast and well distributed in all rooms at the resort. Their resort is being renovated but it doesn't us since we are almost out everyday. Aircon works well in a room good for 3 pax. The beach area and strip of Sinsamut is nice cause it has lots of restaurants and walking distance to convenience stores. If you could skip the Historical Park entrance fee of THB 100, just skip it cause it is not worth it. The park is not well maintained and so dirty.

Great Location”
The room is clean with nice decoration. The location is very great, right at the most popular beach in Koh Samed. However, the staff are neither friendly nor helpful with poor English. It is overpriced as well. One more thing, I recommend Ploy Talay Restaurant for dinner to enjoy the greatest fire show in Koh Samed

perfect location”
Love this hotel and also koh shamed. So close to beach and has its own small bar right on beach.

good location”
Great location. I booked the cheapest (no aircon) room they had. I thought the huts looked cool. It was not a good night sleep. There are many bugs in the room so you must use the mosquito net, which blocks the breeze from the fan. Upgraded to the cheapest aircon room they had the next day. It was fine for the money. Koh Samet is not cheap for accomidations and you can get better for your money at other destinations but for a quick escape from Bangkok, I think it is worth it.

Newly renovated, great location, but too expensive”
This is a pleasant little hotel and I don't have major complaints, but it seems a bit overpriced for what you get. It's newly renovated, but simple and the rooms smell a bit bad. The wifi wasn't great nor the TV. The front of the hotel is confusing to find and very ugly. But you are paying for location. It is the prime spot for all the Sai Kiaw Beach attractions. You are not looking at the beach, but you are extremely close to it and all the restaurants. I'd stay there again if the price was about lower than what I paid. (It was a Thai public holiday and high season).

Just near the beach!!”
Our stay in Sinsamut Hotel is great. It is very near the beach, where you can swim anytime u want. Also, near the restaurant and the 7-11. They also offer tour around the island and boat going back to ban phe pier. The price is not that expensive because we booked the hotel 2 months before we go there.

Great Location”
Good stay at this small hotel, beach is out side the front entrance of the hotel, the rooms at the front of the hotel are very modern and clean although slightly small but all the restaurants and bars are at your doorstep along the beach.

noisy and overpriced in a central location”
Did not expect too much as the high prices and bad reviews of hotels in koh samet put me off from visiting for years. Deluxe rooms and top floor is the way to go. Rooms of same category vary a lot, if you get the room on the ground floor people are walking past right outside your room and the deluxe rooms have wall high glass windows all around, which means keeping the curtains closed 24/7 and having a room without window. Staff is not professional, feels like a family business with babies crawling around the reception and motorbikes parked at the seating around the bar. I would not go back, the hotel itself is having a live band playing which starts very very late around 11pm and stops around 2am, right outside the hotel. There were not many customers sitting at the bar around 11pm, so for who are they playing at 2am? Keeping a handful guests happy with live music and not allowing dozens of hotel guests to sleep is a bad management decision... the other hotels were quiet at this time and I won't be staying again at the only hotel disturbing the nights sleep for all their own guests.

Koh Samed sae keaw beach”
the arrival of this hotel was satisfactory. Quick, exchange of deposit of 200 B for the key and we were greeted with a satisfactory room. Functional, good size with a disproportionately nice size wet room combined toilet, sink, shower room. The hotel is on the beach so ideal for walking straight out of your hotel and 20/30 seconds later you are on the beach. There are deck chairs on the beach for hotel customers. There is a bar but I don't recollect food on the menu. The bar staff are a bit slow in getting to serve you and quite slow at delivering drinks to your table/ chair (unless of course it's a simple drink like beer/ water/ simple mixer like G&T; but even then still a bit slow) We had a great night drinking, listening to the live singers, playing drinking games etc and thoroughly enjoyed that. But if you are not a fan of the noise then consider an alternative hotel. At night the hotel/ bar is quite noisy especially if you want undisturbed quiet night sleep. We were disrupted nearly every night either but loud groups coming back to their rooms or by the bar music, general loudness of drunk people having fun etc. As they say; if you can't beat them... Join them. But if you can't join them then I suggest an alternative hotel. If you want quiet then Sae Keaw is not for you for a hotel but def a great day/ night visiting place. We hired a scooter and went to the place near the two 7/11 in the centre. 1000 B for 4 days, spanned across 5 days. No helmets so do consider this. The driving limit is 30 and there are many many humps in the road to keep people nice and slow. We had no issues and it is nice to be able to just pop out whenever you.The scenic cliff is wonderful for a sunset btw. The sunset cruise is lovely and recommend visiting the Bar for a cocktail or your fav drink to enjoy watching the sun set. In conclusion we love Koh Samed but will probably not use this hotel again. We even left one day/ night early and headed to bkk

Good Stay for Money”
Although our trip was short, this hotel provided a great deal for the money. Awesome location right on the beach, near fun restaurants and bars. The room setup in a little strange, all rooms open into the hallway, without a window you can open. They do provide BKK airport transportation for a fee, however the earliest isn't until 10am so we were not able to take advantage of it due to our flight times. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and I would stay again. A few things about the island that aren't so publically stated (nothing against the hotel, just something to take into account)- if you take the slow boat over, expect to pay an additional 200 baht dock fee upon arrival; also, this hotel is in a national forest that requires a one-time fee of 200 baht.

Good location and thats it”
Been to koh samet at few times thought we try sinsamut this time but was very dissapointed. From the moment we got there lady at reception tried to get extra charges off us we booked an extra night on agoda before we arrived there and informed reception about this they said ok but when the day came for that extra day they tried to get us out of our room. The bathroom water is orange brown colour no hot water to shave at basin. They are very unorganised and unproffesional there are many other places to stay on koh samet and would not waste my time coming back to this hotel

Good location. But Poor room”
The hotel is located right in the heart of Sai Kaew beach. Small rooms (which isnt the issue as we arent in the rooms except to sleep) But infested with mosquitoes. I counted 30+ bites on my daughter. This is despite covering her with mosquito repellent.

Sinsamut Feb 2016”
Stay was very pleasant, had 2 tripple rooms, in one of the rooms the second toilet had no ventilation and was very smelly so we did not use it. We kept the door shut. There are no hooks on any walls to hang things up. There are no shelves or drawers and only a few coat hangers. The in-room safe was not attached to the wall it was sitting on the floor. Anyone could put it in a bag and walk out with it. There are no bedside tables. The hotel is very new so many of these issues will probably be dealt with in the near future. The free WIFI has very limited range and requires a new password every day.

China”
If I payed 400 thb for this hotel, it would be ok. That's how much the rooms are worth, if that. This being Koh Samet, and since it's White Sand beach.. I ended up paying 1400, and in that "price range", i give it 1.5/5 stars. It stinks, it's damp, it's packed with Chinese tour groups. The whole area is packed with Chinese tour groups, which is a problem because 40 people showing up at 7 am generate a lot of noise. Long time ago, white sand beach might have been a good location - but it's not anymore. I stayed 3 days at this location it was one of the worst 3 days I had on any beach. If you ain't Chinese, you will be better off moving to another beach (2-3 km from White Sand), if you truly want to enjoy your holiday.

Great location”
Located just off the main/busiest beach, the hotel was basic but very clean and had all you really need. Very easy to walk out of the room and you are on the beach. Nightlife is nearby but you don't hear anything. Good option for a few night and great value.

Nice place, good location, overpriced”
A very nice hotel with small but clean and pleasant rooms. Location is excellent but, as with most places on Samet, it is overpriced.

Great location and value for money”
Good location in saikae beach. Decent room, maybe due to the ongoing construction, the bathroom smelt quite badly. We had to buy air freshener to deal with the odor. But overall, good value for money
