we love seaview!”
my boyfriend and i stayed in a superior bungalow for 4 nights and we loved it! neal, the manager, was extremely helpful and got us a scooter rental (they provide scooters at the seaview for thb/day) and recommended places to go around the island so we could make the most of our 5 days on koh tao. the bungalow had a great view, not too strenuous to get to, nice balcony & hammock, mini bar with beers, soda & water, spacious and lots of character. eating breakfast in the open air restaurant every morning and looking out over the greenery and ao leuk bay was such a great way to start our day. for exploring koh tao this is a great place to stay because you're away from the more touristy/party area of sairee beach but the island is so small that it doesn't take more than 15 minutes to get anywhere. definitely rent a scooter or 4-wheeler though since taxi prices are horrendous and the seaview is tucked away in the hills but easily accessible on a paved road. if you are a person who is squeamish when it comes to nature the seaview may not be for you since there are a few insects and at night you can hear bird calls. we will definitely be back, hopefully next time for longer

We were searching for a hotel in tanote bay and thought that seaview resort was there. so we booked it.thats the only negative part of the description on agoda of the hotel.itlays on lovely hill above ao leuk bay, not tanote bay.it takes you 10 min to reach ao leuk, 40min to tanote and 30 to saideng beach.all by foot. if you are courageous enough to rent a mototorbike -good luck.:-) but we really liked our lovely seaview and the little walk to the beach was always enjoyable. But now hotel details- the staff is great,helpful like we have never experienced before, the food is great, the bugalows are cosy and have a wonderful view,...we felt like home. we planed to stay at seaview resort only for 2 nights but booked an extra night. and after 3 days of constant moving around in tanote bay[it is peak season in august] we came back for 4 wonderful days. everybody welcomed us like a familymember if we ever stay on ko tao again we will book seaview resort for sure

The perfect place to stay away from the crowd”
we are a couple, traveling for the first time in thailand, came to seaview resort for a day and stayed a week. ten beautiful wooden made bungalows, well maintained. super nice people, always helpful, gave us nothing but good advice. unbelievable view of koh panghan from the center balcony, where good thai food is served (and not so good western food). peaceful, relaxed, away from the crowd, you can use the hotel's free taxis to the center twice a day, or either rent a bike for extra comfortable stay highly recommended!!

Amazing View, Phenomenal Food”
We absolutely loved staying at Seaview Resort. Very private bungalows with amazing views of Aow Leuk Bay. The food was some of the best we've had in Thailand and a very reasonable price. Also they rent out motorbikes which is a huge PLUS. For a very inclusive stay, rent one and bike around the island to all the amazing snorkeling spots. Be wary of the stairs if you are someone with low mobility. The only thing we felt was missing was a mosquito net around the bed. It was definitely needed in that area. Other than that, we loved our stay here and would stay here again.

Hideaway”
Seaview is a remote resort, which lies on the hill with a beautiful view and plenty of fresh air. If you can ride a bike than it's no problem at all, if you want to go by feet be ready to go for 45-60 minutes to reach beautiful beaches which Steve will recommend to you. Wooden bungalows are just amazing, very cosy and have balcony. Kitchen is very good, especially fried rice, and at affordable price. The only complaint is that there is no smoking free area on the terrace (restorant) so it's hard to eat when somebody smokes just right next to you. Anyway the place is good, we'd like to come again.

We had booked three nights, but this place was really nice and we ended up staying for 8 nights! The staff is wonderful (except for the grumpy lady boy at the reception), very helpful, the restaurant serves great food and the view from the balconies is just breathtaking! To go to one of Koh Taos beaches, just rent a moped from the hotel.

Very friendly service and nice rooms”
This resort is in the centre of the island which we didn't realise when we booked but is only a 10 min walk from the beach. We stayed two nights and the rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathroom was very nice as well. There are free taxis into town in the morning and evening and we hired a quad bike, on the advice of the owner, and spent a day exploring the island, meaning we could get back to the resort when we wanted. However, in the evenings to get back taxis will try and charge you the standard prices, around 300b, but you can haggle with them and get it down a bit. Overall a good plac with great views.

Quiet, nice decor.”
the room itself was great... hammock, mosquito net, towels, body wash and shampoo, but taxi to hotel is quite expensive at night (i was quoted 400baht by the taxi stand lady, but when i told her i didn't have that much on me she said to talk to the taxi driver when he got there. driver told me base rate for a taxi is 200baht, fyi). i normally walk everywhere and wouldn't have minded walking back except that i'd gotten a ride back on a motorbike the first night and we were chased by wild dogs. thus, i don't recommend walking at night, as you won't out run the dogs. definitely rent a scooter or be prepared for the expensive taxi ride (hotel had said a taxi was only 50baht, but that was not the case). a peaceful place with free wifi (free wifi is plentiful in koh tao). there was a frog pond putside my window, so at night i could hear them and the crickets as well. nice view and deck. very clean, but a bit far from everything. i liked it, but it was a splurge for me. backpackers may want to opt for one of the many central and cheaper lodgings.

Worth a stay just for the view”
We only stayed at seaview for one night. The bungalows looked lovely and the resort itself is extremely attractive. The view was amazing from the balcony of the bungalow, which I think made us overlook the actual quality of our stay. The bed was comfy but we didn't get any sleep because, the roof for some reason banged really loudly all through the night in the wind. It sounded like someone was sat in the roof banging their heels against the walls. It was pretty terrible from the point of view. Whether it was just that one bungalow, I dont know. If we moved to a different bungalow and it didn't bang then we would definitely stay again. BTW If you're not fit/active then I would recommend a taxi as its a very steep walk for about 20minutes. Killer!

Great place to chill out”
defienietly one of the best places we have stayed on our south east asia trip. the reasort is quite distant but we've enjoyed it a lot after stayng few days in the center area. the bugalow was nice and clean with breath taking view on the sea. the only disadvantage is a long way to the beach wich takes about 20 minutes. anyway we were very satisfied with the stay in seaview resort.

Beautiful view and great service”
You'll need to rent a bike to get anywhere, but who doesn't rent a bike anyway. We had a bungalow with air con...it was really nice, clean and romantic. A view of the water in the distance. The manager was incredibly friendly and helpful. Has wifi, a restaurant with Western breakfast, great coffee. Only a few minutes ride to Sairee Beach or the Pier area.

Relaxed, friendly environment away from the crowds”
Very good staff (thanks Paul and Pin). Paul is an avid Nirvana fan, and he even lived in Seattle for a while. Away from the crowds, they have good views, and its a great place to get away from the busy areas near the pier and sairee beach. Close to the BEST snorkeling beach on the island called AO LAK. Rents scooters for cheap. A must for anyone staying on the island. Wonderful views and sunrises. Located on top of a mountain. Near the highest point on the island. Away from it all. Rooms basic but nice. Hammocks on balcony. Good value for money.

Great place, courteous and helpful staff, will come back!”
The staff made me feel very much at home, they are all very friendly and courteous. The place has a very calming quality to it as it is located on the mountain. One could rent a motorbike from the resort which makes traveling on the island very easy. However, you must be very careful when you drive as many people injur themsels by slipping off the road (beware of sand on the road). Aow Leuk beach is a short walk away and in my opinion one of the nicest beaches on the Island. It's not free though, 100 bath entry fee, but longchairs are available, the water is beautiful and the snorkling great.

Quite far away”
The place pretends to be more than it is. The only place within walking distance is Ao Leuk Beach. The Resort doesn't pick you up from the boat pier. The staff is friendly, the receptionist speaks excellent English and is very helpful. Sometimes you can choose muesli for breakfast, sometimes it's only american breakfast. At certain days the smoke from the burning of Koh Tao's rubbish dump gets to the hotel. Plastic bottles are recycled, all the rest is burnt. The seaview resort serves jam en even sugar in plastic bags. After two days we moved to Shark Bay. Better bungalows, baths cheaper, better breakfast and straight down by the sea.

Perfect stay & lovely view! ”
Our stay at this resort was totally perfect! We had a very nice time, after long time backpacking we wanted to rest and enjoy the beach, this place was perfect for that! The receptionist Neil was very nice and friendly, I actually got a cut in my head and couldn't do much but he took us several times with the car to the center and the hospital. The beach is 10 minutes walk and the center is easy to reach by motorbike. The room is nice and the bed was soft! :-) It also has a nice view. If you want a quit place to rest and enjoy the island, this is it!!

Nice hotel, nice view!”
We stayed at this Hotel for 5 nights. It has a really nice view, having breakfast seeing a bay and Koh Phangan gives a nice atmosphere. Bungalows are built in a nice setting, but there are steep steps to reach them. As it is up hill you need to walk at least 15 minutes to the beach. But the view is worth it. The staff, especially in the restaurant, was really nice and at the reception we got all questions we had answered. The rooms are really basic and as the roof is not completely closed it might occur that you have some fellows like spiders or geckos in your bungalow. But the Hotel provides all rooms with mosquito nets. The bathroom is really basic, no flushing water in the toilet. One day before our departure we had a lot of ants in the bathroom, but the receptionist said that they will get rid of the ants problem. To town it is a longer ride if you rent motorcycles (which you can do directly at the hostel), walking would take you long time. They also provide pick up from the ferry pier and are helpful when it comes to tourbookings. All in all a nice and basic place to stay if you are ok with being a litte bit up hill and out of the city.

The resort was nice but it was to far away from the main attractions on Koh Tao. If you are not going to hire a bike then do not stay here. It is a long walk or quite an expensive taxi to get anywhere.

Lovely hotel and Neill is from Scotland and great”
it was very nice to have found one of the last quit spots on kho tao, which wasn't easy :-) the view over the ocean and phangan are great as well as the variety of rooms. there's something for everyone. the only downside being the steep road next to hotel which causes cars, scooters and quads to drive with high revs causing some noise pollution from time to time, which would be the only downside of this otherwise super spot.

the owner and the staff were very friendly and helpful our room was a climb up and the staff carried all our luggage with a smile. they arranged us a scooter, helped to pick nice beaches and good restaurants ! rooms: basic - if you're not a nature person; this might not be your cup of tea, but if you love the sound of crickets, gecko's, if you don't mind a few ants in the open air bathroom, if you're looking for 'zen', then that's the place you have to be. the hotel owner is a very friendly lady, that speaks perfect english. her staff is very motivated and they keep the standard up
