All round very good resort hotel”

This Hotel is built on a hillside and has extensive gardens which extend right down to the beach. The rooms ar very well appointed and most have great views of the sea and neighbouring islands. The balconies are often visited by monkeys and you must beware to always close your door or they will enter in search of food. There is a funicular railway which connects to various parts of the complex with four pick-up points up the incline. The restaurant is on the highest level and has the best views over the bay and the food is very good. There is also another restaurant beachside which is great for an evening meal next to the sea. There are two swimming pools one on the beach and another halfway up the hill. The hotel is a nice "away-from-it-all" place and not very close to a great deal of nightlife as most of the bars are at White sand beach a few kilometers down the road. The hotel does provide a shuttle to the local village of Kai Bae where there are a few bars an restaurants The beach is is very good and the sea is so shallow at low tide that you can walk out to the closest island with the water no higher than your knees. The staff here are of the highest standard, very polite and cannot do enough for you. I highly recommend this hotel.

the best hotel in Koh Chang”

Sea View is the best hotel in Koh Chang… i did a bit of traveling around the island and that is my feedback Location is one of the best points… it is next to the view point where everyone goes to take the best photos …the great thing is you see this view all the time!! The hotel is a good size but it still seem very personal and beautiful, staff are great and zoo helpful and the hotel grounds are very well designed ( even if you need to take a cable car to breakfast… thats something quite unique and the view at breakfast are amazing ) Food is ok, internet is ok on the beach and at the lobby… not in the room as yet…the town of Kai Bai is nice and less commercialized than other places …

Stunningly beautiful and peaceful location”

The hotel is on two levels with the breakfast restaurant at the top of the hill with access via a cable car. Staff often available to transport guests in hotel buggy, which we thought was very helpful. New restaurant/bar on beach, but only open until 8pm. A taxi can be ordered from hotel reception to take to either Kai Bae village or Lonely Beach for about £1 per person. Can also flag down one of the numerous taxis from the top road. Beware, they only run until about 9.30pm, although you can return from Lonely Beach 'taxi rank' at any time but they will charge at least double the normal rate. You can walk along the beach to Kai Bae village (about 15 minutes to the centre). If the tide is in you can take an easy walk through Porn's Bungalows next door to reach wider part of beach. Fantastic restaurant on beach at Porn's bungalows with excellent food. We ate here often. The sea was warm, clean, and shallow. Absolutely wonderful.

Great resort at beautiful place”

We have recently stayed at Sea View in Ocean Suite room and were very happy with the place and it´s services. Our room were located literally a few steps from the beach with sea view. The room itself was spacious, clean and had all amenities you would expect and more. Beach is very nice, without rocks and tall tress giving natural shade in sunny weather. From the beach you can see and even visit nearby island on kayak that you can rent out. If you need to rent out motorbike you just call front desk and it will be ready for you at the reception within 10min for same price as in the town. One of the highlight here is the breakfast which is rich, tasty and the view from the breakfast room is stunning. The only stain on the overall great experience here were the construction works which were sometimes noisy but it wasn´t that bad. If we go again to Koh Chang we will stay here again.

Beautiful place to relax ”

Sea Vie Resort is an amazing place if you would like to relax and keep yourself away from noise. It is not an another hotel, Sea View it is built in the middle of the forest on different levels of the hill. During breakfast you will enjoy breath taking view. Also selection of the food will suprise you, from salad bar to egg section, hot items both European and Asian and fresh fruit section. Restaurant by the beach offers selection of Fish/Seafood, Thai dishes and Pizzas. Rooms are very clean and spacious, AC, safe box, umbrellas and beach towels are provided on a daily basis. Hotel Staff is fantastic starting from the Front Desk, Guest Relations, Outlets Team, Gardeners and Security all of them will make you feel connected to the place, always smiling always helpful. We could not recommend Sea Vie more for couples, families and all looking for something different. If we ever come back yo Koh Chang this will be our #1 pleace.

One of the best options to stay in Koh Chang”

Large and well maintained resort located by one of the best beaches (and locations as well) in Koh Chang, suitable both for couples and families with small children. Clean, well equipped rooms. We had a large room with a balcony and a stunning sea view. A good selection of food (both local and general) was offered for breakfast, and the food was fresh and tasty. The hotel offers free shuttle transfer to the village nearby, a selection of tours, here you can rent a car, a scooter or a cayak to explore an adjacent island. The beach and the sea by the hotel are really good. Yet, not so much wildlife as one could expect in the vicinity of a tropical forest. We were here in February, so maybe it was not the best time to observe the wildlife. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Very beautiful facility but not the beachbyou would expect”

The hotel was great (breakfast, our room, the cable car and the amazing view) and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The island directly in front of the resort is also very beautiful and reachable within in 5 minutes by canoe. The beach, however, looks different from the pictures on the website. There are stone stairs leading into the sea and the amount of stones in the water makes it difficult to walk into the sea. If the beach is the main reason for your trip I would recommend that you look for a hotel somewhere else in Koh Chang as there are other more beautiful beaches (e.g. the White Sand Beach or the Klong Prao Beach). Additionally, you should not mind being woken up by a group of monkeys in the morning ;-)

Great Family stay”

First of all, I want to thank the staff at Sea View Resort, for taking care of my family while on their first beach vacation. I was unable to go due to work, so I'm writing on behalf of my fiance and her and family's experience. I had requested that they have adjoining rooms, which they did, my family was also allowed to check-in early without hassle. My fiance and children all loved the hotel room and it's beach view, and could not stop bragging about the food especially breakfast. My fiance stated that the staff was very nice and polite and attentive. Everyone loved the pool and snorkeling at the beach especially. The hotel rooms were surprisingly comfortable size for three people, clean. The balcony overlooking the beach my fiance said was great as I saw the view while on Skype. My children enjoyed the cable car ride to the beach. The Sea View resort had something for everyone. I sent my family of six,(Mama, fiance, cousin, teen son, and teen twin daughters), and everyone found something to do during their four night stay, made me jealous. My fiance says it's definitely great place for family vacationing. I'm already planning to join family next year and thank staff personally and enjoy the beautiful beach and all the amenities Sea View Resort has to offer. After pages and pages of searching I'm glad I chose Sea View Resort, it gave my family a great first experience and me peace of mind while away.

Great location and excellent staff”

The Sea View Resort is located about a kilometre south of Kai Bae, where all the necessary facilities may be found (bars, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.) The property is huge,covering a long stretch of hillside -- you take a funicular railway to the hilltop restaurant for breakfast (or other dining). The property is very quiet and the sea views from the restaurant are spectacular. We had booked a cottage with sea view, but the foliage was so dense, we had only sea glimpses. Also, the cottages are showing their age -- for example, the overhead shower did not work -- but they are still good value for money. Dining in the restaueant was expensive, but there are many restaurants just 5 minutes away by public taxi or rented motor-bike. The staff was excellent, and the maids surprised us each day with a beautiful sculpture formed from the fresh towels (and sprinkled with red petals).

Excellent hotel - highly recommended!”

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We stayed in the beachfront deluxe rooms with sea view and it was an absolute delight to open the balcony windows and see the sea first thing in the morning. The staff were very friendly, the gardens stunning and the cablecar up to breakfast each morning made me smile every day. Yes, the restaurants aren't cheap but they are very good and you can always take the free shuttle bus into Kai Bae and sample the delights of any number of places to eat if you want! All in all, a wonderfull stay and i would go back tomorrow if i could!

NO FREE WIFI IN THE ROOMS...”

The Sea View Resort is a beautiful resort on Koh Chang. Food is very good except for the restaurant on the beach where the quality was not the same, better cooking at the restaurant on the top of the hill. Breakfast has a lot of choice and they have a good french chef there. The big problem to me is that they do not give free wifi in the rooms where as you have it in the lobby area... For that price it should be included, if i have to go back to koh chang, i will not go back there just for that reason, they should think about it, you have free wifi in most hotels there. Room was good, Flat TV should be bigger for this kind of price range. The resort is very clean, efficient staff. Nice swimming pools but the Mojito cocktails at the beach restaurant were not good, they should train the staff to make it, 250 baths a glass... Overall, it's a good place and would be even better if they gave free wifi in the rooms.

A Vacation in Heaven”

Our long-desired vacation turned out even better than expected thanks to Sea View Resort. Everything is excellent: the stuff treats you kindly and politely, the room is fantastic, clean and cozy with a mind-blowing view, the breakfasts are delicious and rich, the facilities are exclusive (on the island). 5 out of 5. We spent here two weeks, and I would not refuse to have two more:) The interior design of our room was smart and beautiful. I loved the giant sliding door and the view, and surely the glass wall of the bathroom - taking bath with a view is wonderful. All the necessary elements are conveniently located. The Hotel territory and facilities are astonishing: two pools, parks, trails, beach... We barely met the other guest and felt like we are alone in this paradise. My personal favourite - top hill pool. Infinity pool that is rarely visited by the rest of guests:) The stuff is incredibly friendly and always eager to help! We are sincerely grateful for their care and attention! The location is great, because all the other villages and their virtues (stunning beach of White Sands, Waterfall of Klong Prao, cheap and hip restaurants of Lonely Beach, fresh seafood of Bang Bao) are easily accessible if you rent a bike. Bonus: Monkeys!!!Really awesome photogenic creature that robbed our balcony few times. Don't forget to lock the door (not only close it, but LOCK) if you want your bananas and chocolates to remain untouched. Thank you, Sea View Resort! It was fantastic!

Great hotel ”

Sea view Spa and resort is magnificent. Stayed here on recommendation from a friend and have refereed multiple people to this resort. The view of the bay from on top of the hillside restaurant for buffet breakfast was incredible. loved sitting out there and watching the sun come up while drinking some coffee. Beach was spectacular at low tide can walk out almost 200 yds away from shore. Islands are not to far away and can be reached by kayak for a fun day trip. Sea view Spa and resort one of the best places to stay at if visiting Koh Chang

Great resort”

One of the more impressive resorts I have stayed at . Set in the hills off the beach requiring a unique cable car ride to get to each level . You will be blown away by this resort and it's food was first class . Koh Chang is a small island with not a lot to do unless into elephants or diving !! So 4 days was enough for us. Only issue many rooms incl ours was blocked from the amazing sea views by trees etc and I booked a sea view room so only complaint in an amazing postcard resort

I wish i could keep this place as secret!”

There were not many foreigners there and i am wondering, why? This place is amazing! I have been travelling so many times and this place is combining romance and family holiday! Staff was very friendly, especially Russian receptionist! Sea view cable car is adventure and so much fun! We loved kayaking to nearby island, it took us 1 hour, but it was amazing feeling, we felt like we have discovered new island! Everything was great, the hotel is seriously huge and the territory is beautiful! We recommend you to have nice dinner at Ciao Koh Chang, the best Italian Food we have ever tried!

Amazing stay”

We absolutely loved the sea view and Koh Chang. The resort was gorgeous and green, very well landscaped. The rooms were decent and clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and the beach was stunning. They have two restaurants- one at the top of the hill with an incredible view, and one on the beach. I love everything about it.

The best view”

The best view in Koh Chang that we could get!. Nice Staff, helpful! We got deluxe on the top of mountain that the best beautiful view we got. The room is large, bathroom also big with a new decorate. The balcony also large and feel relax, We can see the highlight of Koh Man. Along the way around the resort well kept and look nature with many big tree. There is cable car from up to down beach which very comfortable and show a good view. Swimming pool also very nice one on top which you can see view and down one also good. The breakfast arrange on the top hill with the beautiful view and very relax. Food also nice even not much choice but enough! Everything perfect there!!

Good place to chill & Friendly service ”

This was our second time that visited Koh Chang and we decided to come back Sea View because we love it! Everything is good and the breakfast view is the best. You should check it out! The hotel restaurant has panorama view on the hill so you could see the clearly beach and nice sky. But I take 1 star down because the shower room wasn't drain well for both time that we visit. Btw, our room was deluxe beachfront.

The best resort in Koh Chang”

The real properties are same as advertised. We are truly impressive the first step and every moment we spent there. It is worth for all tourist to visit for relaxation even a short-trip stay. It is surrounded by nature and all facilities are fully managed. The staff always stand by at the night for an immediate assistance. The resort is situated by the sea, so we are able to see the runrise and sunset beautifully. It was a pity due to we had only a short weekend to stay. Surely, we will recommend our freinds to try some and we will think of Sea View Resort and Spa as priority once we'd like to visit Koh Chang someday.

April 2016 sea view resort”

Nice hotel great location, we stayed on the beach next to the swimming pool I'd recommend that for easy access to the pool and beach/sea, staff were good and very polite the food was nice and restaurant was right on the beach to, for breakfast we took the hotels tram up to the other restaurant which only took a min or two and the views of the island were amazing, it's a lot of money to stay here but def will be a memory for ever but if I came back to ko Chang I'd stay in a busyier location with access to restaurants bars shops etc, this hotel is not close to anything so you have to take a 5 min taxi ride to a 7/11 etc, you can hire boats or swim to the other island although I'd be careful as the current is strong at times and no lying I almost drowned cause I was in the rock pools near the other island and it you couldn't walk cause it was sharp rocks and to shallow to swim so I headed back and got in some very deep water and couldn't stand up there was a moment I panicked and didn't think I'd make it back :( after that I never went back into the sea again, the wifi was a high disappointment it would log you off all the time sometimes just after 5 mins and my stay there I must of entered the wifi user name and password about 50 times my gf had the same issues so was def there wifi and not my iPhone
