By far the most beautiful hotel I have had the pleasure of staying in”

A little way down from the main road and 50 metres from the beach, Ruen Kanok is a beautiful, small paradise in a big busy place. On our arrival, the staff were ready for us and we were checked in very swiftly and given a delicious fruity welcome drink. The hotel is extremely beautiful and relaxing. The lush garden and pool area is well maintained and each of the rooms are very private from each other. We had an upstairs room with a balcony (room 16) which was very spacious, very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. We were provided with a fresh fruit bowl every day, along with more bottled water which was always perfect after a warm day out exploring the area. The hotel offers complimentary taxi service to the night market and to the beach. They very kindly arranged other taxis for us for our visits to various surrounding areas. Every time we returned from a trip, the lovely staff were ready to greet us and ask if we would like anything arranging for the evening or the following day. They were so accommodating, we felt as though we were the only people there! We had amazing breakfasts each morning (we were there for six nights) there was always lovely fresh fruit, cheese, croissants, cereals and bread, with tea, coffee and a variety of fresh fruit juice and iced teas. They had a hot food menu as well, including Thai specialities. I recommend all the Thai breakfasts, especially the vegetable roti. This would be my first choice of hotel next time I'm in Hua Hin. Exceptional”

Ruen Kanok is a beautiful and welcoming guest house. The gardens and pool are very appealingly designed, and the wooden cottages are equally attractive. Prices during the week are reasonable, but it's rather expensive on weekends. Breakfast is delicious, and there is a lot of variety. The beds are very comfortable. The beach is only a 2 or 3-minute walk down the lane. An idyllic setting for a lovely holiday. Kao Takiab is the more peaceful end of the beach, but there are wonderful restaurants close by as well as massage etc. The staff is welcoming, competent and efficient. There is a shuttle or inexpensive public transport to the night market, malls and other tourist sites, and staff will arrange taxis to any location.

Attractive Thai style accommodation”

We stayed for a weekend in Ruen Kanok Thai House. There are approximately 16 bedrooms for guests. We were very warmly welcomed and staff were friendly throughout our stay. There were many special landscape features including water, beautiful plants, Buddha images; lighting & the bedrooms were Thai style. The breakfast was excellent. There were snacks in the bedroom which were included in the price. When sitting around the pool in the early afternoon we were brought a bowl of complementary fruit.

ruen kanok thai house has very good service and particular friendly and polite staff. the resort has an authentic thai atmosphere, and the garden is beautiful. it's quiet and peaceful to stay. the location is quite close, but away from hua-hin city so taxi or "songthew" is needed to travel quickly to town (10 minutes), but the resort have a shuttle services. the beach is only a minute walk away from resort and there is plenty of good food nearby. the whole resort is very well kept clean. we are very satisfied with staying here. we really can recommend this resort!

Great place”

We had a great time at Ruen Kanok Thai House. ( we liked it so much that we extended our stay) Fantastic place,nice rooms, lovely garden, swimming pool , helpful staff and only 3 minutes to the beach. Would definitely stay there again.

Great stay in lush garden”

We loved our stay at Ruen Kanok. The pond view cottage is so nice and peaceful. The garden is beautiful, many different flowers and Frangipani Trees. The houses are nicely decorated on the outside with pretty Buddha stories in wood carvings. Breakfast is very tasty with great poached eggs and Thai roti with chicken. Also the pool is really big and refreshing. And at night it is so quiet.

Great little place”

We absolutely loved our 4 nights at Ruen Kanok. For us location was fantastic but if you want to be close to night market this isn't the place. It was so quiet, the pool was great, breakfast superb. No tour groups here, which for us was a plus. Walking distance to Cicada weekend markets. 2 minutes walk to beach (check tides for beach as you can't walk from hotel on beach if it is high tide) Several restaurants nearby.

Excellent”

I like the Thai architecture of the buildings, original thai style timber makes you feel like you are in Thailand. The Resort is small and cozy, very relaxing. We stayed in the Pool side Room and the Luxury Jacuzzi Rooms, both are beautiful, if i was to choose again...Luxury. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fantastic. I highly recommend Ruen Kanok Resort .

Astounding place”

In several decades of travelling I don't believe I've ever stayed in such an allround perfect accommodation. Already the aesthetic beauty, and care to detail, in every corner of the complex would be ten stars worth, but then to add the incredible friendliness, helpfulnes and warmth of the staff takes the experience off the charts. We would recommend Ruen Kanok to anybody seeking a quiet friendly ambient - the only downside being the difficulty in leaving!

Great traditional Thai House with beautiful garden”

we only stayed for one night at the ruen kanok thai house. we enjoyed it very much there and we will for sure return to this quite, small but beautiful thai style hotel in the future.

Feels like a home little Hotel”

Lovely small Hotel with a nice gardens around a nice pool, love everything about this place, the traditional Thai style villa with spacious bed and clean bathroom, free stocked minibar with snack and basked of fruits. Only thing that a bit annoying is during first night of our stay a bunch of men from neighbourhood i assume chatting up so loud on the street in front of the Hotel that keeping us up till almost dawn as we stayed at the room that facing right to the street. Perhaps the management should reminds them not to make noise after 10pm :) So far we satisfied our stayed at Ruen Kanok, definitely will comeback again and recommended to friends.

Perfect stay for Honeymoon”

We loved every second of our stay so much. The staff is so helpfull and nice and the hotel is like a little paradise with all the beautiful flowers and greenery, The swimming pool is nice (but not big) with a jacuzzi. The food and drinks are of very high quality. The rooms have a beautiful interior. Every day you get free drinks and fruits/ chips in the room. The only thing about this hotel which is not perfect is the location. It is about 10/15 minutes driving by car to Hua Hin. But you can take Thongtheaw easily from the hotel. And at 19.00 o'clock there is a free shuttle service from the hotel to go to Nightmarket in Hua Hin. At 21.30 o'clock they will bring you back to the hotel. We will definitely come back to this hotel!

Super friendly little boutique hotel”

Stayed here for 5 nights while exploring the surrounding area. Great place, nice big chalet type room. Great breakfast options, local menu or continental. Fresh fruit and juices. Nice out of the way location, away from the busy bustle of Hua Hin, tucked away in a tranquil back street. Two mins walk from cafes and restaurants. It has its own coffee shop/cafe which also does a small selection of local dishes. Very tasty. Super friendly and helpful staff. One minute walk from a quiet beach unmolested by vendors with nice clean sand. Great little pool to cool off after a day sightseeing. If we visit Hua Hin again, will surely stay here again. Couldn’t fault it.

Lovely hotel, great location, nice service”

We went only for 3 days, a short break, and enjoyed it a lot; Ruen Kanok is very good value for money in Hua Hin.

Above and Beyond”

We were in Hua Hin just when a tropical storm hit and the entire town was flooded. During the storm, staff ran back and forth delivering breakfast to our rooms so we wouldn't have to go outside and even tried to get us a cab downtown (before we realized how bad things were, as the hotel itself was barely affected by the floods). Best banana-pineapple pancakes ever and an amazing thai iced caffee at the bistro! We will definitely go there again to enjoy the service, lovely rooms and close beach under better circumstances!

Very peaceful and relaxing”

We really enjoyed our stay at Ruen Kanok, staff were very pleasant, room was large and comfortable, all the wooden buildings a Thai experience, garden and pool were great places to relax and chill, breakfast was very good.

Very nice thai style hotel but unfortunately noisy”

This hotel is very nice, rooms very comfortable, staff very friendly and professional, breakfast amazing. Very near to the beach and khao takiab temple. But becareful of rooms you select. We selected one of the most expensive (luxury jacuzzi) : we dindn't know there are rooms upstairs and you hear everything. Unfortunately during our stay, 4 ladies who drunk alcohool made a lot of noise until 3:00AM every night. So better to choose cheaper room but with no rooms upstairs, like pond view rooms. Without this issue, it would have been perfect.

Very cosy hotel with great sense of hospitality!”

Lovely hotel that doesn't really feel like a hotel. The Thai Ruen style design is awesom. From the moment you arrive you get a complimentary fresh coconut to quench your thirst. Ushered into a teak wooden style room that is beautifully designed and has lots of character. This place is just perfect for couples who want to get some R&R. Located of the busy street, you would swear you are somewhere remote and not even close to the town centre! Proprieter of the hotel is very friendly and helpful, speaks English very fluently so no communication problems at all. Complimentary bus offered to the town centre and night markets. Have to say that this hotel was our favourite on our recent trip to Thailand.

Nicest breakfast with traditional Thai style room”

It's the first time we stayed in such a garden theme Thai house. A very special great experience for those who is bored of standard hotel room. They offer us a private, personal SKY ROOM with a large washroom and almost every facility I need. A swimming pool just in front of us and restaurant for a nice breakfast just next to the pool. Wow it's the best breakfast I have in Thailand seriously, baked cheese ham toast, Pad Thai, all day breakfast, buffet salad and bread bar, omelette in a pan, chocolate twist and Thai pork roll, all taste like 5 star hotel. The only thing you need to aware is the Mosquitos because it's in the greenery garden with lots of trees and plants, prepare spray if you attract mosquitos a lot, but no wrong this is a good pick :)

Authentic Thai experience”

The house itself was simply wonderful. Two storey interesting wooden structure with beautiful views on the garden. The breakfast was nice, the staff was very attentive. There is a free shuttle service to the center of Hua Hin (night market) every evening. And they also come and pick you up at the designated hour. The place itself is on the outskirts of Hua Hin, which is actually a good thing.
