Where to stay in Tierra del Fuego Province
Tierra del Fuego Province hotels & accommodations

Nice hotel, clean, bathroom was modern. We paid a lot, 2 hundred American, probably because we booked last minute during high season - probably not worth that, but what can you do during high season. Good location right in downtown, maybe 15min from tourist info. Good wifi throughout. Tip = Unrelated to hotel, go do the penguin tour to that Island, best tour we've eve...

I was looking for nothing too fancy for this stay, as we did not plan to spend too much time in our hotel anyway. This place turned out to be ideal because it is one block away from the main drag and price value turned out to be totally fine for expensive Usuhuaia. Quiet room, comfy bed and great shower with hot water after a long day out in nature in cold weather... ...

It was a nice hotel. Beautiful views of the city and waterfront but the rooms don't match the decor or luxurious feel of the lobby. Rooms are very small (I stayed on the 2nd floor). Decor is very old and outdated. Ex carpets and walls were dirty and messy. Nice staff. Good breakfast. Location wasn't ideal. A bit of a walk down to town. Overall I would recommend the ho...

I loved my time here at Arakur, the hotel is amazing. It was about twice the price of other hotels in Ushuaia but at least 10 times as good. The views during the day, sunset and at night are stunning. The outdoor spa and pool are beautiful with a magnificent view. The restaurant serves great food, rooms are tastefully styled and the staff were wonderful. I can't reco...

Everything were fine except the washing machine and dryer not in service. The condition were found broken for long time. 5 min walking distance to Ushuaia famous King Crab restaurant at beach front, which is cheap and taste [1000 peso / king crab] for 2 person

The hostal was located very close to the airport, but a long was from the down town area. It had a nice character and the friendly staff booked up my trip to the Parque National Tierra Del Fuego. I had a double room that was very cosy and warm. The wind was so very strong, the first night such that it kept me awake. There was also snow still lying in places. There was...

Mix feelings about this hostel, location was good, the rooms far too small and cramped, rules too strict and not welcoming, owner/ receptionist don’t make you feel welcome, they don’t allow you to leave your bag if you are not staying meaning if you check out you have to leave the hostel, even if you need to leave your bag and comeback to pick it up later.

Breakfast minimum. Internet only in common areas, which decreases the comfort of the guest. Fine cuisine. Part of the staff, lazy. One day the shuttle service was late (they were 8:0 pm and was 3 degrees) and the receptionist gave reason to the driver. Anyway, the view from the bedroom window made up for everything. Wake up looking at the snowy mountains of Chile was a...

One of the best self catering apartment in Argentina with very good price. Our apartment has huge bed, central heating, hot shower. Kitchen is well equip with kettle, microwave and plates etc. It snowed during our stay. It was lovely to come back to a clean, warm apartment after the sight seeing. Staff make sure we are warm and replaced the tea and coffee selection dail...

The hotel is ok. The staff is ok, not as slack when we were there then when some others were there aparently, but also not that dynamic. The wifi is very crummy. Quasi impossible to use in our room at the end of the corridor. Heating is extreme, but that seems a problem in most places in Ushuaia. We slept with the window wide open. The hotel is some distance from the c...

lovely lodge at the base of the martial glacier. high above town, but a lovely walk down. (got taxi back up). the roaring fire and jacuzzi made this very romantic. the bed room was suspended up in the rafters and looked down over the lounge. we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location, with its lovely walks in the trees. great location for a honeymoon before an ant...

Staff very friendly and helpful. The Managernot nice. Made a wrong booking. Called the Hotel, they sayed it was no problems. It was OK to change the bookingdates. You don´t need to pay for new booking. Just call one day in advance, the Manager said. You don´t need to pay extra. You have already payed for two days. But, when we came to the hotel 4 days later the boss d...

Accommodation is relatively expensive in Ushuaia. Posada del Pinguino is a basic pension and its price relative to other accommodation reflects that (similar accommodation in other cities would be cheaper). In our room, showers were inconsistent but generally running cold (in a cold climate); the bedside drawers had rubbish in them - not cleaned properly; breakfast ...

Las Retamas is a small and cosy B&B. We had a double room with an ensuite bathroom. The room and bathroom are not big, but spotless clean and for us very important quiet. It is a good 10 minutes walk to central town. Breakfast was good and we could have eggs if we wanted to. The recommendations for eating out were very good and we had some of the best food in Argentina...

Hostel was ok enough but that older grumpy receptionist woman was awful! That's why wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! And it's really out of the way. About 30 min walk uphill from downtown. DON'T GO. There are better hostels with less money in Ushuaia!

It was a bit a walk from the town centre (about 20 to 30) minutes. How the place is nice and cosy. The rooms are too small so there is barely room to move and the showers are usually flooded so they could do with more cleaning. Breakfast is a nice spread.

I was very dispointed in spite of teh good reviews I read on this place. We rented a car and when we arrived to the place there was noone waiting for us; so I knocked at a door and ne other tenant that happened to be in his room gave us the landlady phone; after a while she ended by answering the phone and after we waited about one hour she came over to open up the do...

Great stay as an unfussy base for the wider sights of Ushuaia, namely the Beagle Channel and Terra del Fuego national park. Rooms are abit tired and not vey well soundproofed (especially at the front and near the stairs), but I sleep anywhere so not a big issue for me. As long as hot water and basic cleanliness is maintained, no complaints. Breakfast is basic but in li...
