Perlis State hotels & places to stay

After a hellish experience with Putra Brasmana Perlis (staff was extremely rude and inconsiderate when turning us away due to double booking, whose mistake was on their part), our stay in Seri Malaysia was considered the saving grace of our trip to Perlis. The staff was friendly and helpful, room was comfy and clean, plus the location of the hotel is so scenic and peaceful. Definitely deserve the title of the best hotel in Perlis!!!

For staying in Perlis,i thinks this hotel good place for staying.The location is near to sea,food court in front of the hotel was very strategic place.This hotel also near to Langkawi jetty.Although the room was not big,but the condition was really gives me a great journey.From the room you can see the food court and sea.If you feel hungry,you can go to the food court.The breakfast provided also good.Although,there are not much choice but it still good.For me this hotel is a great place if you want to stay at perlis.

we arrived at 2am there, and find difficulty to have a parking. just park anywhere as my baby is too tired after 10 hours journey. on the next day, we got summon! fortunately, the hotel staff get it settle for us and we dont have to pay any cents. the room is clean, tidy and very large bed. the breakfast in the hotel is simple. the best part is, it is really close to the kuala perlis seafood centre, or whatsoever you called. just a walking distance.

Location: Great location in the Arau town. Close to the Uitm (5 minutes), Kangar 15 mins, and Kuala Perlis 25minutes. There were shops nearby, 7-Eleven just next door, food is not hard to get. it even had a big supermarket at the back, just walking distance. Room: we were greeted with a lovely scent of the lobby. It was a shoplot area where the rooms were located upstairs. We stayed in the Standard Twin room; too small but comparing it with the price I would say it's affordable. Clean beds and toilet, clean room. Aircond was working well, LCD TV has a few satellite channels, also had hot and cold shower with average water pressure. The quality of the mattress was not that good. No window so we didn't know what's the weather like outside. Extra note: Would only suggest if you are staying alone or with a partner for a short trip or when you are on a holiday which involve outdoors activity and you need a place to rest your head after a day out. More than 2 persons, the room would be really packed. For Muslims, very limited space to pray inside the room, you need to adjust a bit to follow to Qibla, am not sure if they had a prayer room outside though Parking: You can park your car in front of the hotel or at the back. The area at the back was really dark at night and not suitable for women who travel alone. The safety of our vehicle was also not guaranteed as it was an open car park (not only for hotel customers) Staff was friendly, they had our Agoda form readily printed when we checked in around 7pm. But the phone number that was printed in our hotel voucher was not the correct one, because I called up the number to know the exact location (location not detected my gps) and it was actually the phone number of a motel in Alor Setar.

Sanctuary Garden is a relatively new hotel located at Arau Perlis. It is not that hard to find the hotel if u manage to find the balai bomba opposite of the hotel. At 1st glance, the hotel serve as a cafe at the ground floor and hotel at 2nd floor. The staff was kinda inexperience but still acceptable. The only flaw of the hotel is the hot water of the shower, low pressure of shower and the presence of red ants on the bed. The room was very spacious and we found it very comfortable during our stay. Overall, the hotel is worthy of its value compared to other hotels in perlis.

This was my third time staying here. The hotel was clean, hallway's were bright, front desk was nice, wifi was fast, ample parking space. What made me coming here again and again was the bed, comforter and pillows. They're so comfortable to sleep on. If you book the room when you reach the hotel, you would get a stamp which if you accumulate 10 stickers, you can get the 11th time stays for 50% off. But if you book online, you cannot get the stamp. It could be better if there's a lift for those who are disable or who couldn't walk much. The ironing area's light cannot be turn on hence I need to depend on the hallway's light which can't reach the ironing area much. In short, it is value for money and I would recommend it to other people who will stay around Kangar area.

Staying here is best for those with or even without transportation as you can find food nearby (specially for non-muslims, while muslims can go over to KFC or halal restaurant which are just steps away from hotel too). The minor or few things to be improved are the cleanliness as there was a little weird smell (soury smell, suspected due to water they used to mop the room floor) in the room, found ants nearby rubbish bin or table, there is no lift provided in the hotel (so might be hard for some elderly to climb the stairs) and some may find it a little noisy (lil tips: I find that it will be much better if the toilet door is closed) as this hotel is just beside the road.

We booked a family room with 3 doubles and a single bed for 2 adults and 1 pre-teen and 3 young children. We were very impressed with spotless floors. We had large living room, with kitchen complete with water purifier. 2 very clean bathrooms. Windows had security grills and insect mesh. Solid entrance door, with security grill. Beds and sheets clean and comfortable. Air con and 2 ceiling fans kept the room cool. Quiet area, with parking outside the unit. Handy to Kuala Perlis (20 minutes) Jetty. 5 minutes to 24 hr McDonalds. Good location for overnight stay before catching ferry to Langkawi. Excellent value for money for overnight stay. Would come back again, if taking ferry to Langkawi.

Our family of 8 + 3 young children rented one of the homestay semi-detached houses for our recent Raya trip, and we weren't disappointed. The house was incredibly spacious: queen-sized beds in all 4 rooms, 3 baths with hot water pumps, large kitchen and spacious living room with ample space for the kids to run around and play in. The furnishing was relatively new and clean. Some reviewers complained about the hard mattresses, and they were indeed very firm, but this feature was a plus point for me as overly soft mattresses acerbate my back problems. There could have been more pillows though, at least 2 per person. The pillows provided were too hard and one per sleeper was definitely insufficient. Bring your own, if you can. 8 towels and 8 mini bars of soap were provided, 2 per room, but no other toiletries were given, so come prepared. Wifi is free with decent service, and our house had a flat-screen TV with ASTRO attached. Plug points, however, were an issue, as they were rather inconveniently located, mostly high up on the walls next to the light switches. The kitchen was equipped with a large fridge, a microwave, hot water kettle and melamine plates + cutlery for 4-6 people. Not quite sufficient, but everything was clean & well-maintained. There was also an iron, ironing board + broom & mop provided. Service could be better improved though. Check-in time was strictly kept to 2pm, almost arbitrarily. We had arrived at 11am and told to come back later, and coming back later at 1.40pm, we were still refused check-in, even though we were informed the house was ready and had already been cleaned. We had to have a ridiculous "talk" with the manager, who finally relented and "allowed" us to check in 10 minutes early. We thought this was quite ridiculous. All in all though, we were very pleased with our lodgings and would definitely consider booking D'View again for future large-family trips to Perlis.

Stayed here for a wedding in Perlis. Strategic location at the heart of Kangar Town. Clean and spacious room with good breakfast selection. Nasi lemak, fried meehoon, toast bread, 2-3 choices of kuih and fruit. Friendly and attentive staff. Except they accidentally took my mother's face towel because they didn't provide face towel. Good for older travellers as they have lift

Our stay at Mama Motel was pleasant. Though there are not many staff attending to your needs but they were very helpful and accommodative. The motel surrounding is peaceful & non hectic. I would stay in this motel rather than the motel/hotel in Kuala Perlis if I want to go to Langkawi the next day. Going to Padang Besar is also no hassle & would take you about 1/2 an hour to reach there. I would stay again in Mama Motel when I travel to Kangar.
