Mpumalanga Province hotels & accommodations

The lodge is very confortable and clean. The rooms are spacious, good bed, good shower/bath. The Games are amazing, Trackers and Rangers incredible. We saw the Big 5 doing 2 games. The Staff is incredible, everybody very happy, friendly and doing the best for you.

We enjoyed our stay. The family room we were in was very practical and convenient; especially so when you have small children ; it was one of the best we stayed in. The breakfast was good and dinner great. We didn't appreciate the owners of the lodge bringing their small dog in the restaurant while we were having breakfast; it made our daughters uneasy.

We arrived after a long and tiring voyage and were treated like visiting royalty by the fantastic staff. Our rooms were absolutely perfectly appointed. The restaurant Magnolia which is a sister property is a delightful place for dinner or breakfast. We would return in a heartbeat… And spend a longer period at this wonderful luxurious and gracious hotel.

Our first impression as we entered the hotel was very positive. However, walking down to the rooms we noticed that the wooden window frames of the rooms were overdue for maintenance. Upon entering the room, which was marketed as a premium room, we were greeted by a king size bed with the most awful duvet cover with blue, yellow and turquoise circles, which was too sma...

We had a fabulous New Year's holiday. I take time to research where to stay and was very happy with the location and the natural feel of the lodge. The safari house was perfect for our group of 7, and the kids loved the loft. The kitchen was large and had everything. We were happy to be there and would recommend to anyone.

This place is nothing short of amazing. We stayed for 7 nights and it was without a doubt, out of this world! Our hosts, Bruce, Ilsa, Lorrie & David were the best. As much as we loved going into the park everyday, we looked forward to getting back and enjoying the braai with the other guests, it is a great way to swap stories of what you saw in the day. For anyone pa...

We stayed in a Superior Family room. The room is big, and very pretty - Comfortable beds, big bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. Housekeeping kept the room clean. All staff at La Roca were very friendly and helpful. Natasha checked us in after 9pm, and Thea took care of us every morning at breakfast. Breakfast was always delicious, and the coffee was great too. :)

The staff was very much friendly and helpful. The receptionist,Gibson, was extremely excellent in terms of the processing our check in.The restaurant was well organized and their breakfast was delicious even though sometimes other items would take a while to be replenished because it was prepared in very small quantities, when the people were many in number. The pool req...

The hotel is a true unique gem. All is great, just sad that the morning coffee is it part of the breakfast... - that feels quite strange looking at the price of the hotel . Dinner served in the terrace is good - as you are in s way again a captured customer since nothing much is in walking distance. The tree on the terrace is a must see even if u don't stay overnight...

My family and I had a great stay at Perry's Bridge Hotel. We arrived late but were helped quickly by attentive staff who delighted in entertaining our 8 month old baby. They offered us a travel baby cot and baby bath bassinet (very nice touch!). We brought our own cot and the check-in attendant who helped us with our luggage quickly unfolded our cot like an expert. ...

This lodge is one of the best I have experienced. A beautiful setting with amazing, friendly and caring staff, who go out of their way to ensure your every need is catered for. The food is excellent and plentiful thanks to chef Julia. The owners, JJ and florence are so welcoming, you feel like part of the family. Robert, our guide is so knowledgable, with a great sense...

We stayed in the self Service lodge and enjoyed it so much! We had our own pool and the possibility to cook and grill is lovely. It is a sleeping place in the middle of nature, adventure and the beautiful stars. It was relaxing and during the game drives exciting. We had the Best guide ever! He was passioned, nicely explaining and so much enjoying himself, that eve...

the lodge is located at a pleasent river, with very friendly and helpful staff. I booked a chalet and a room - and got an upgrade with 2 chalets nebst each other- it was fantastic! also we got the great Shangan- show with dinner- brei in the evening. It is located in Hazyview - and it is near to all touristic activities! to elephant whispers it is walking distance. w...

We stayed for 3 nights in a bush lodge at Grand Kruger and had a good experience. I think the place is expensive (relatively cheaper than other places in Kruger), but the staff is very courteous and always ready to help with everything. This is a great place to stay if you want to enter Kruger National Park through the Crocodile Gate. Food was decent and spa was excell...

when we sat down for breakfast wewere asked if we wanted the continental breakfast or the cooked one. we selected the cooked breakfast and lateer discovered that only the continental breakfast was included in the hotel rate. the hoterl advertised free wifi however i was told that it was not working and the only computer availabe for public usage was at reception and th...

I have been staying in this hotel since I has a child of 11 years old, now after 18 years, I bring my children to stay in there as well. Whenever I cannot find an availability in it, I just cancel my trip to Nelspruit to a later date. The reception staff are great, they closely listens to your comments and fulfill your needs as much as possible.

So the rooms are lovely and the food is good. The clawfoot tubs are great, and the water HOT! The site is quite romantic on the pond all lit up. My daughter thought it would be perfect for a wedding group. It's very simple yet lovely. So it is our first time to the area. The game drive that was booked was very reasonable, but it was to a private game reserve, adj...

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at Elephant Walk. What a hidden gem. A hundred times better than any of the main camps in the Kruger and so lovely and private and quiet. Staying in a log cabin over looking the Crocodile River was just perfect. And aircon in the cabin was an added bonus as when we arrived it was 43 degrees!!! It also helps keep the mozzies away...

The staff at Kuname were lovely, providing us with delicious meals and inviting accommodations! The game drives were productive (we saw it all!) and our tracker and guide were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The landscape was mainly brush, so when you do see an animal, it's up close & personal!
Cheap places to stay in Mpumalanga Province

It was not pleasant as I had a fever and I was there during the south african winter time, so I could not enjoy the splendid surroundings with hiking, exploring and trekking. As a place to stay, I'd recommend this place very much though. Quite cheap, great service and a surrounding that takes your breath away.

My stay at Hazyview Adventure Backpackers was a good time. It is centrally located close to Hazyview, Sabie, Graskhop, and of course most importantly two Kruger Park gates. There are plenty of adventure activities nearby and the owner was very helpful in providing information on these. The dorm was nice. Clean and very comfortable beds. The kitchen area could use a lit...

The Highland Rose is a really charming country B&B with character and comfort. Our party of 12 occupied the entire B&B for the night. My wife and I had the Hawthorn Cottage which is separate from the main house and was very spacious, nicely furnished and very comfortable. Everyone else in our party also liked their rooms. The loft bedroom in the Hawthorn Cottage is a n...

We stayed at the Trees Too for one night, and we thank very much the owner for her kindness. She helped us A LOT about going to Mozambique, she was very helpful. she also gave us advices before we go to the Kruger about the best places of the moment (dry season). The place is very near of the border with Mozambique and very near of the crocodile bridge gate of the kru...

It's been a great stay even if short one night. Matilda is a great host and the place is absolutely great. Very safe, very close to the center of the town with super comfortable beds and great facilities. If you stay in Graskop it's a great choice to stay in Havana Nights

I will deffinetely recommend a frind here, the place was clean and neat, the rooms were big enough. The bed was more comfortable, Place is not noisy at all, good for relaxing , if you lolking for a quite place.Only if they can change linen and the bedding on weekends, everything can be super. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

The owners are absolutely lovely. They really try to help you. Btw foreigners don't need to pay a downpayment in advance. We got slightly confused with that. The owner gave us a map for Kruger for rent which was very helpful with all the small routes. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. The common area has also kitchen utilities. My friends also enjoyed the...

A cosy house with a farm by the river. The place was clean and would have been a nice place to make our own meal if we came in a bigger group. We were warmly welcomed by not only the host but their friendly dogs too. It is a pity we stayed only one night.

We had a room inside, reseption was very friendly. It were neat, but no toilet paper in bathroom, no curtains in bathroom, no burglar bars in front of windows, no aircon/fan. The room were extremely warm, we asked for a fan, the one we received was broken. Terrible noisy during the night, even the room door were slamming entire night. Saturday morning before six the...

You have your own key for the gate to go out and in. Soz it's a secure parking. Really appreciable. It's a nice place with a swimming pool and you've the view on the river. You can already see some wild animals without going inside the Kruger park. You've the choice for the breakfast, it's really a nice breakfast. The two ladies who are running the hotel are really kin...

Our hostess was most gracious. we chose this location because it was very close to the border crossing into eSwathini. While basically comfortable, the design of the accommodation was very disjointed. The self-catering area was outside including the sink near the braai. The fridge was deep inside the room, as were the dishes. Weird arrangement. Not much sound ins...

With every chalet being built by Pete and Catherine, you will never stay anywhere like this ever again. Each chalet is rustic, comfortable, having both excellent views and facilities. The family and all their pets are very welcoming and I would stay here again without hesitation

We had a lovely stay. Our hosts were more than accommodating and Hhusha Hhusha is simply a lovely place to hang out and relax. Absolutely felt as if we were at home, yet catered to as well. The recommendations for local restaurants were excellent as was park advice. Melalane Gate is 5 minute drive.

We had a group of 10 (5 couples) and we loved our stay. The staff were so great in responding to emails prior to the trip (they even notified us of our cancelled flights prior to the airline itself). They coordinated pick up and drop offs from HDS and allowed us to maximize our game drives. Although we didn't quite get to see as many animals as I hoped, we definitely d...

Our first time in Nelspruit and what an amazing welcome and stay we had at Jorns Guest House, such a peaceful atmosphere, will highly recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely be back!!!!!!! Thank you for the amazing service, you are not 4 star quality, but 5 star quality indeed!!!!

It was clean, beautiful garden and really good value for money. Wish it offered breakfast but not a train smash because all the restaurants are within close range. A pool would make it an extra star more special. Again not a train smash. I checked in quite late and the owner was courteous. Dumisani was also quite professional and made me feel welcomed. Hope to come bac...

We had a pleasant stay, albeit for 1 night. It was very hot and humid and unfortunately the aircon in the bar area was not working which made things uncomfortable. The aircon in our room was leaking water onto the curtains. Perhaps management could see to the repair of these then I would happily change to 5 stars.

After about four years we booked again after a horrible experience. Such a beautiful property and well located. Over-inflated beverage prices. It is all and well giving a package for Dinner and breakfast but does not help to make up on the drinks prices. The sleeper couches are the same as back then (Unsleepable), my 11-year-old had to share our bed with us. Maybe ...

Good value for money. Room and bathroom were in order and very clean. Black lady who assisted us when booking in was very friendly and helpful. Good variety television channels. Minor irritations: struggled to get access to property when booking in, swimming pool dirty, no fridge in room, one bedside lamp not working and no plug for it, access gate has a hump that ...

the suite is big with a nice bathroom, always clean. there is a shower outside. the staff is very helpfull with everything. dinners is excellent. breakfast is taken on the veranda with views of the beautiful mountains. there is a walking trail to a "honeymoon pool" and on of 2 kilomentres to a waterfall, mostly walking under the trees in the shade. it is a real tranqui...

I booked on short notice for a bridal party for the day before the wedding. We only arrived at 23:00 but everything was beautiful and so neat. We got a lovely breakfast in bed the next morning. They even organized a bed for the baby. Would definitely come and stay again.

A really lovely place to stay. Close to a number of Kruger Park gates and convenient for sightseeing in Blyde River Canyon. The proprietors proved to be excellent hosts. The rooms were absolutely exquisite. Contempory and yet still traditional. Blue Jay was the perfect base for our trip to the area. I liked it so much, I could live there!

A place surrounded by nature, friendly staff, comfortable accommodation ...

The cottages are quite new but exceptionally spacious, peaceful & fitted with quality fixtures, fittings & electrical appliances. Extras include free wifi, full DSTV, large screen HD wall mounted tv, huge shower, etc. The cottage was not serviced over the weekend & has no undercover parking. Very small fridge with tiny freezer compartment. No games room or sports faci...

We stayed here for 4 nights before going into Kruger and explored the Panorama Route. What a beautiful, beautiful place! The suite we stayed in was spacious, clean, and had great amenities! The property was big, quiet, peaceful and breathtakingly stunning! The plants, animals, and pool on property were such a nice and relaxing touch. The hosts were the sweetest people,...

Lize and her staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room was neat and there are a few details that she has considered for travellers that aren't found in other guest houses. She was also kind enough to make me a vegan meal. Will definitely stay there again.

What a great find. The wildlife viewing from the lodge was almost as good as inside the park. From the deck we saw giraffe, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, many antelope, and super lucky to see a leopard stalk impala. The lodge itself is big and private. The pool especially refreshing on a 40oC day. Super clean and comfortable stay. If we come back anywhere in south Af...

The staff were friendly and willing to help with anything. The rooms were very spacious and the gardens were well kept with a pool and sun loungers. The restaurant was also very very good so af...

On arrival we were told the place is fully booked. No room for us. Staff said they did not received confirmation of payment from Adoga. Later they recognized there mistake after blaming other staff . If you want something different, Hoyo-Hoyo Tsonga Lodge is the best choice for you. I and my wife had a 3 days 4 nights honeymoon stay here. A 100% "will come back" experience. From the beautiful surroundings to the wonderful old world charm and elegance of the main building to the absolute comfort and luxury of the accomodation to the staff attentiveness to the smallest of detail to really fine dining - in all respects one of the best stays in all of South Africa and Namibia we have ever experienced !!

we stayed in one of their cottages which isn't part of the hotel. Fantastic in every way - not cheap but you get what you pay for. We had the set menu dinner in the hotel which was simply delicious and a real treat for the senses. We also had breakfast in the hotel once but opted for al la carte rather than the set menu as R190pp for breakfast is just a bit much. the c...

Game drives were awesome. Everything was awesome. Each staff member knew my name and addressed me personally. Food, drink, the entire experience could not have been better. Beautiful facilities, beautiful room, all-inclusive five star experience. I hope I have the opportunity to return. I cried as I left — felt like family! You cannot go wrong staying here.
