Quaint guesthouse”

Stayed one night as enroute to Lake Biwa from Miyazu. Is in a small water town. Owner is friendly, speaks a bit of English and Chinese. Rooms do not have ensuite bathroom but is one the same level of rooms so is convenient. There is a hot bath at 1st floor. Free spring water for drinking. Breakfast and dinner was delicious. We stayed in late May which is offpeak so there were only 3 groups there and thus place is quiet. I will recommend as a drive break stop for 1 night.

The location of hostel is not easy to find if using google map. The facility is good and clean. Will definitely visit again if I come to Takashima next time.
