Excellent value for money, beautiful view from the balcony. Probably a 15-20 minute walk to Phoenix resort but not a difficult walk and we found a ski rental shop ('Snow Valley') who offered to pick us up from Coop Sweet House in the morning - we were some of the first people on the slopes!

Cheap, big, near Phoenix Park”
We chose Coop because it was the cheapest big room near Phoenix Park. It could easily accomodate 3 adults and 2 kids. The "suite" consists of a bedroom in the loft which has a floor bed (mattress - double) and they provided 2 thin single mattresses which can be laid on the floor in the living room. It was -6 degrees centigrade outside and snowing. The suite uses a floor heating system, so it was not cold. The suite also has a small kitchenette with fully functioning hobs, and they supplied pans and pots along with an electric kettle. No microwave in the room, but there are two microwaves in the lobby downstairs for everybody's use (and everybody was using it). The toilet/shower area does not share the heated floor, so was a bit cold. And the hot water supply was occasionally lacking (i.e. might suddenly go cold for a few seconds). Pls note this is not a full service "hotel" but closer to a basic youth hostel. this hotel/hostel does not have its own restaurant (there is a Korean BBQ restaurant connected to the hotel, but it is not part of the hotel, nor is it open during breakfast time). The reception is purely to check you in and you don't even need to check out. Entry to your room is by PIN number. Which the reception will tell you. Don't expect them to carry your luggage up. The hotel is somewhat near the Phoenix Park Ski Resort. We even walked back from the Resort to the hotel, and it was about 20-30mins on foot (in snow). More sensible is to do research and take advantage of the Phoenix Park shuttle bus that runs to Jangpyeong. From Phoenix Park, the shuttle's first stop is less than 200m away from Sweet Coop House, in front of a row of restaurants and a convenience store. Coming up from Jangpyeong, Sweet Coop will be around 15 mins ride, and if you pay attention, you can see it from the main road and get off. The shuttle is (as at Dec 2016) free. There are a few challenges if you choose to stay at Sweet Coop: the staff there do not speak much English.

Everything is out of my expectation, Recommended”
I really have to thank Aby, the young guy who speaks OK English and works round the clock. He put us into a quiet room which we requested hence it looked into the rice fields facing the back side of the hotel, first night we had snow and was so pretty. The front of the hotel overlooking the ski slopes and I saw many people placing their ski and board at the balcony. I didn't hear any noise when I walked around the hotel though. So quietness is good. Cleanliness is good also. There is no grease in the kitchen as someone else here have mentioned (I was skeptical in the beginning of whether to book here or not) and everything turns out to be out of my expectation and is clean. Beddings is clean. There are 2 tatami in the cabinet if you need and there is a bed on the loft. It is exactly like the pictures. Pretty new the kitchen cabinets etc. We cooked almost all meals. We grab our food one day (walking to the resort is doable but not recommended, 20 min at least). We had Beaf, pork, vegetables, rices, dumplings, seafood (we grab at supermarket in the resort), it was so much cheaper and fun to cook ourselves. Lots of shops selling foods along the way. Best thing is their related ski rental shop picked us up every morning, and sent us back to the hotel after we finished (we ski the section of 10:30 am to 4:30 pm) and the shop gave us a coupon each day with lift discount of 30% to 40% off. So much cheaper.

Convenient”
Stayed at Junior sweet. Bedroom is korean-style bed (on the floor) in a second floor attached. Stairs had no rails. That was dangerous for children. Mountain view was good, with no other buildings around - a bit of privacy. Convenience store is located few meters next to the hotel. A car is preferred for trips to Pheonix resort, but still nearby.

Junior Suite. Good value for money for family travelling with young kids. There's a small playground around the hotel my kids enjoyed playing the slide in the snow. You need to get a taxi to go to Phoenix Ski resorts Ard 10000-15000krw. No shuttle service available. Restaurants and convenience stores are located around the area. Walking distance from the Hotel.

We had a great time in this hotel, just a bit upset that one of the room we stay dont have electricity that my family have to sleep in dark aNd cold. No technician at night. It seems they only can serve their guest at morning or day time. NO NIGHT SERVICE. They dont speak english. I can see they dont have good communication among the staff. I dropped my key card after check out but one of the staff chasing me for the keys. They should have inform each other. The wifi is good. Toilet cannot lock. Can cook!!They have rice cooker, and complete kitchenette...no worries. You just have to bring something to cook. We enjoy cooking in this hotel. This hotel is very near to restaurant and convinience shop...only 5 minutes walk. Overall, we will stay here again.

Many people stay there for Ski. Just walking distance or you can go the Ski rental the hotel recommend. Traditional Floor Heat, very good in winter. Don't expect people around can speak English. A few restaurants available, but most of them close early, better confirm the opening time if you want to go.

Value for the money”
I was able to stay at this property for a really cheap price and couldn't complain. The room I had was sort of run down, but had a decent view. The stove didn't work, but thankfully I brought my gas burner so I cooked on that. I'd stay again if it's cheaper than other places again or if I'm bringing a lot of people since you have plenty of space (especially second floor) that you could potentially have people crash on.

The price was good. Located near good things but not near enough to walk. we spent most our time at pheonix park (this was children's day weekend). But definitely a quiet place to hang with friends or family. The space was nice but the loft bedroom made me slightly claustrophobic with the ceiling just overhead and crawling on the floor or hunching to a 90 degree angle to make it to the stairs.

Had to take a few Bus services to reach the Town. 15mins walk to Pheonix Ski Park. Staff have difficulty speaking English but will try hard to explain for you by writing on a paper. Satisfied with my stay there.

IT WAS QUITE PLEASANT. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THAT THE STAFF ONLY HAD ONE ENGLISH SPEAKING FRONT DESK OFFICER. IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF THEY HAD MORE PEOPLE TO ATTEND TO FOREIGN GUESTS WHO CANT SPEAK KOREAN.
