Great value and service”

The Paramount Gallery Hotel was very good. The location is excellent. The staff was friendly, helpful and there was always someone english speaking on duty. The rooms are well desinged , clean and spacious with nice bathrooms. We had a spectacular view of Jing'an Temple and city. Breakfast had a good selection of food and wifi was included. The Paramount Gallery Hotel is a very good value and we are looking forward to stay there again on our next trip to Shanghai.

Cheaper alternative to big names around it”

Got it at reasonable rates. The beauty of smalller hotels is you get more personalised service. The rooms are well cleaned each day and I’ ve included a note asking the staff not to dump the bar soap which was used only for a day. The hotel provides Ego Bus that takes you to the airport for RMB 68 or you can take the city shuttle at the Jing An terminal station for RMB25. Subway Line 2 is just around the corner.

Very convenient to bus, metro and airport shuttle bus. Lot of shopping malls and nice restaurants nearby. Staff are generally very friendly and customer oriented. Rooms are spacious with old style. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel, great breakfast, courteous staff and close to everything”

This is an exceptional hotel with great value. The staff extends being courteous at every step of the way from the check-in/reception, to the bell captain and of course the Smile Restaurant where they serve a delicious breakfast buffet with Western choices like Smoked Salmon, fresh salad and fruits and eggs or you can have a traditional Chinese breakfast with congee, noodle soup, dimsum buns, fried rice. This is the only place we stay at when we visit Shanghai and it is located adjacent to the Jing An Temple, the subway 2 line, Jing An Temple Park, and a supermarket that has a great food plaza.

Brilliant Location Good Room”

We would most definitely stay in this hotel again, the location was brilliant. 1 minute from the Line 2 metro station that efficiently linked to all we needed and the walk from the hotel itself was full of shops and retail therapy opportunities. The breakfast was brilliant and very reasonable and that is the only meals we ate at the hotel. It would be good if you could order a drink past 5pm, but not really a big issue as we were out most nights anyway. The staff were very helpful and extremely courteous and efficient. As this was the end of our trip, the fact that we overlooked the temple every day for breakfast assuaged my guilt of going to see 'another temple'!!

The location is really good but it’s not 100% clean”

Just 2 min walk from the metro station. Lots to eat nearby. The room was big and spacious. But the shower had kinda moldy smell and there were dead insects stuck on the ceiling. Apart from that, the sound of the aircon was quite big.

The hotel is right next to Jing'an temple. Easy access to subway and only short taxi ride to the Bund or the French concession area. The staff is really very nice, rooms are clean and spacious. I always enjoy to stay here.

Great location in Jing An, around 50m from Jing An temple. The hotel room was comfy and reasonable value.

Pros: 1) Staff are friendly 2) Room is big and clean 3) Location is good, opposite Jing An Temple station (line 2), surrounded by few shopping malls. Cons: a) Limited variety for Breakfast b) Difficult to find the hotel entrance. c) The bed too soft
