Nice location with great food”

Paradise Cottage is located on the very end of Lonely Beach if you're coming from the main ferry. One has to go down a small driveway and pass by another resort to reach the bungalows of paradise cottage. The owner is a very nice and lovely lady who speaks a very good english. We only stayed for 2 nights during the Songkran festival. The solitude of the place is especially great during this time of the year. It's quiet and you're able to sleep in. The reception is simultaneously the bar and the heart of the hotel. Around the reception there are several pavilions with hammocks to relax and enjoy the sea view. There is no sand beach, but the hotel has cleared a path through the rocks to get into the water. The bungalows themselves are just simple concrete bungalows. We had a fan, which was stuck and pointing only in one direction, a small cupboard and some boards on the wall to hang some cloths. The bathroom was small but convenient. Maybe the armatures could be renewed. The food was good, but it sometimes took a while until it came out of the kitchen. Some of the Cambodian staff speaks only rudimentary English and so they have problems to understand the orders of the customers. I think if they learn a bit more, it will get better and the orders don't have to be retrieved several times. I can still recommend Paradise cottage for budget travellers with the urge to calm down a little bit on busy Koh Chang.

Fantastic days in Paradise Cottage.”

The cottages are located on a peaceful area of Koh Chang's Lonely Beach. The Paradise Cottage is an outstandinlgy located accomodation on the seashore with quite nice and helpful staff, good dishes and drinks and a bunch of possible activities to choose. Pretty much recommended.

Exceptional”

Well, I stayed at paradise cottage for a night. Hotel is on perfect location because it’s located nearby lonely beach which is my favorite beach in the island importantly the hotel will serve you a cozy vibe with super friendly staffs and owner. In the other hand I got problem about bathroom cleanliness Sadly a point of cleanliness had point deducted. Overall everything is good if I have chance I will definitely stay there again.

Great value and comfortable ”

Paradise Cottages strikes a perfect balance between value and quality. The rooms are cheap so they're basic but an effort has obviously been made to make them comfortable and they end up being pretty cool. The communal areas are also really well done with places to sit, read and drink even in the monsoon! The location at the end of the main strip of lonely beach was perfect as its away from the noise of the bars but only a few minutes walk away. Take a torch if you're coming back late as the path isn't completely lit. The staff were helpful and attentive. The food in the bar isn't the cheapest in Lonely Beach but I wasn't expecting it to be! All in all a great choice'

Super view and peace and quiet”

We had a cottage with the most amazing seaview (water was 10-20 meters from the cottage), so when we arrived spent some time just laying on the bed and enjoying the view. Also, the "lobby" area which consists of small non-wall huts with hammocks is just amazing, and we enjoyed spending some time here in the morning when having breakfast and getting ready to go out. The food at the horel was quite good and we enjoyed it the couple of times we ate there. For getting around on Koh Chang you need a motor bike, and there are plenty of places to rent from just up the hill at the main road. The beach in front of the hotel is a stone beah, but that was fine for us, and if you want sand beach it is just a few minutes drive on the motorbike. It was nice and quiet at night, but I am not sure if this was due to the fact that we were there in the low season. All in all we had a great stay, and we would definetly come back.

A friendly, homely place with great views”

After spending a few nights here, we decided to book two extra nights. The staff we very friendly and accommodating. On our first night our sitcom didn't work, however they moved us to another room straight away which had the same amazing views on the beach. The chilled, relaxing platforms that surround the bar area are a perfect way to watch the sun set over the sea. We ate in paradise cottages each evening and the food was lovely- would recommend the huge pizzas! Reception were able to book us the elephant trip which was an amazing experience as well as our bus back to Bangkok and on both occasions, the trips ran smoothly. If your looking for luxury, there are lots of five star places on koh Chang... However if your looking for somewhere that is basic but clean and friendly paradise cottages is a good start... Don't be put off by the long walk down to the cottages from the road.

Calm peaceful place with wonderful view on the sea”

We really enjoyed our stay in Paradise Cottage. The stuff is very friendly and helpful, well english speeking. The bungalows are modern (we had the "sea view") and confortable. But the best of all are the shelters close to the bar with hamocks and folding beds with the sea view. Just lying down there and drinking the fruit shakes - you could spend your life like this!:-) The only reproach I have: quite small portion of food. But that you can solve out in the "town". For your information: there is a stony access to the see. But you can handle it. And if you don´t like it, the Lonely Beach is about ten minutes of walk.

Resort itself is perfectly chilling and relaxing but with a good party area around.”

Really friendly owner and personal. The owner speaks perfectly english and is so sweat! It is absolutely chilling there - hanging out in the hammocks, look at the see and drink an amazing pina colada. The area around is also great, cool bars and good restaurants (try the fish restaurant behind the bridge -it's great!!), but not too touristic. And with a motorbike (can rent at paradise cottage) you can see the whole island perfectly. Paradise Cottage was absolutely great, we couldn't find anything better and came back after visiting other hotels and resorts.

Little paradise! ”

Originally I didn't wanna go to lonely beach due to the bad reviews I read. But after we arrived at the Pardise Cottages my worries flew away... Such a nice little oasis! The bungalows are quite modern, the chillout area is a dream, the food is decent and there is a little cleared pathway through the rocks in order to go swimming! To the center of action at lonely beach its a 10 minute walk, but still far enough not to be disturbed by any noise. We made the mistake to book 2 days at white sand beach afterwards - horrible! I wish we would have stayed at the paradise cottages, it's everything you would want from a stay on a thai island :)

Fantastic place to stay”

Paradise cottages was a lovely place to stay. Much more like a hotel than a cheap hostel. The rooms were basic but cool and clean. The hostel has such a laid back feel with hammocks, bean bags and wooden decking to sit out on. The staff were absolutely amazing. So attentive and always going out their way to help us. The lady on the front desk was particularly amazing. She helped us organise bike hire, recommended places to visit and even made some phone calls for us when we were struggling to find transport to our next destination. We would recommend this place to all our friends. 5****

Awesome beach views”

This is a nice place on lonely beach far enough from the bars that you can get a good night sleep but close enough to walk anywhere. The resort is not on the sand beach but we liked it better that way. Only guests of the hotel are allowed in their huts and hammocks and they have a great sand bar which is fun at low and high tide. Staff are great! They even cooked a special dinner for Christmas. They also have package deals out of the hotel and have great recommendations! Only downside is the cleanliness, especially the bathrooms but worth everything else.

Parisaide cottage ”

Never been to koh Chang an we choice parisaide cottage. I will book here again if I come back to lonely beach. The staff make this place. Julia an lee the couple who own this place are amazing. They gave us great advice about what to see an do on the island. They even drive my friend to the hospital after a bike crash. 3 star place with 5 star staff. Can't say enuf about how good they are. Food was excellent too

Hidden Oasis”

We had a wonderful experience at Paradise cottage, the staff were very attentive and friendly. The bungalow was clean and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. My favorite part of it all was that it is pretty central area but very much hidden from the madness of the music. The lobby area was perfect! perfect place to relax, eat and have a drink. Overall, loved it! would go again.

Paradise, indeed”

As soon as we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. We were immediately shown to our room, which was an immaculate sea view across bungalow. It was very clean, with everything in a great state of repair. The highlight of our stay was watching the sunsets with the bar owners, Chris and Nida, who made us feel like family. We made new friends at the bar and it was only 5mins walk to the bars and clubs on lonely beach, which was great for us, so we couldn't hear the music when we were trying to sleep. We will definitely be returning next year for Christmasale. We have only been back home a few days and areally already missing the place terribly. Fantastic place to stay - can't recommend it highly enough!

Oceanfront living”

A pleasant change from the more 'upmarket' hotels on the island reminding you that less is more. Julia and her staff are attentive, smiling, helpful and the vibe is relaxed. Kick back for a few days in a hammock, soak up the sea breeze and pick from their tasty homecooked menu. Thai hospitality the way it should be! I will say though; if you're after a peaceful nights sleep then bring earplugs as Tingtong bar in Lonely Beach booms until nearly dawn. So either pray for rain and a power outtage or if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Cool bungalows”

Restaurant food delicious, great for breakfast, snacks and smoothies. Host was superb, very friendly. Bungalows small inside but clean and modern, cosy. No beach, just rocky access to sea, but a pleasant view from the hammocks and lazing areas. Tucked away in a nice quiet corner of lonely beach - great if you want a decent night's sleep away from the bars and restaurants (which are still within short walking distance).

great location at a great price”

We were lucky enough to get into this hotel during a busy long weekend. The hotel is basic at best, but have a very nice common space and bar for guests to hang out. The resort is located directly on the beach, but it is not the sandy lonely beach that one may be accustomed to, it is rocky!

Best place in Koh Chang!”

I had a great stay in Paradise Cottage. I even went back at the end of my trip. The staff of the bar/restaurant is excellent. Such nice people! Food is great. The atmosphere is super. I will definitely go back!
