Large room for family stay but staff”
I like a size of room compare to other similar price hotel and the room has perfectly divide between the bed room. Cleaning was okay but bathroom grout need to repair and also Front desk staff need to improve customer care skill, when I arrived at the front desk he said " no rooms available" without asking reservations situation. front desk staff should say" Welcome ! did you have a reservations with us ! "

This was a very basic, no frills hotel. Location was good as it was about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The room was basic but clean. I had a partial view of the ocean.

The only positive to this hotel was the location relative to the Sokcho bus terminal. The hotel is a dump, it's not even on the main road, but behind a building. There was 3 shopping carts ( from a grocery store) being used to get your luggage from your car, that's how ghetto it was. The hotel lobby is depressing, the furniture well worn, not in a good way. When I first walked into the hotel lobby, I wasn't even sure if the hotel was in operation because it look so desolate. No one visibly behind the front desk, the furniture was sad looking and got a very empty feeling. The room furniture was no better, the barest minimal was provided. The bath towels were all hand towels. My bathroom drain dripped all night. The walls and floors are thin, so that besides hearing the dripping drain, I heard what sounded like the air condition in the room above me, with the rotating blade to direct the air, move/grind all night. The beds are the typical hardness found in most Korea hotels. The little kitchenette had the most barest dishes and pots, but I couldn't find any utensils. I didn't understand why I had to take out my own trash and recyclables - what kind of hotel would make their guests take out their own trash???? And trash and recycle area wasn't even on the same floor of the hotel room. but downstairs, outside and walk to the one of car park areas. The staff tried, some had better communication skills than others. I'm soo glad I was only there for one night, definitely overpaid for that one night too.

Pampas Resort is located in an excellent location, which requires a short time (within about 5 - 7 mins) to reach both Sokcho beach and Express Bus terminal. Room is clean but the area seems not large as description. However, it still be nice with a beach view, full of convenience, and so on. This is a good hotel to select if I have another chance to visit Sokcho beach.

The place is spacious and clean, just as advertised. Location is perfect as it is very near a lot of convenience stores (there is one below the hotel, but the choices are quite limited), a bus terminal, and the Sokcho beach.

Very reasonable price for winter off-peak season. Bathroom is spacious. The only downside is having to throw our garbage into the outdoor refuse/recycle area on check-out. And no extra garbage bags provided, so we have to use our own plastic bags.

Seeking peacefullness”
While we got our rest away from the city for the weekend the hotel site is misleading. The hotel is unfinished with not even a sign to mark its location. The walk to the beach wasn't far but was barely wide enough for one person because of over growth and trash. With a few steps the outside appearance and welcomeness could be improved.

Totally not what is expected”
It is not at all a "next to the ocean" resort, as the photos seem to show. Although rooms are newly renovated, there were no bath towels, no coffee, no complimentary water, no housekeeping. Shower water runs into the main toilet area, where the toilet bowl is. Reception staff were unfriendly, and lacking in service attitudes. I will not return here even if price is 50% off.
