Best customer service ever!!”

I definitely recommend Palm Royale Cairns Resort! They have the best customer service I've experienced (and I've travelled a bit)! Prior to the trip, a family member became quite seriously ill and as a result, I had to forfeit my flight and only enjoyed 2 out of the 4 day's planned. However, much to my surprise, when I rang to ensure my final 2 night's accom. were still available, one of the hotel staff kindly offered not to incur any charges for cancelling the first two night's and even refunded the money, via Agoda, for the first two night's. I was able to enjoy two nights at the resort and was delightfully surprised at the standard of their pool view rooms - they were clean, comfortable and probably at a 4-star standard. one of the hotel staff was always helpful and went over and above to assist us with our enquiries. Overall, Palm Royale provided a great start to a lovely break in Cairns. Thanks to all the staff there!

Very pleasant and will stay there again.The Palm Royale Cairns Resort is conviently located close to supermarkets bottle shop and shopping.The staff are friendly and very helpful getting you to where you want to go.I would definetly go back again and have already told some of our friends.Thankyou to the staff for you help and excellent service.

Great value, service and comfort”

We booked one night at the Palm Royale and were very pleased with our stay. The staff were wonderful, fun and very friendly. And the hotel offers outstanding value for money. Its a bit out of town but there is a constant bus and shuttle service and the hotel is in very close proximity to a shopping centre for all your food and daily needs. We particularly liked the pool and the spacious rooms, i will definitely stay at this hotel again. The value is exceptional and you wont find anything like it for the price in Cairns.

Palm Royale isn't located in the heart of Cairns but rather a bit further out in the suburbs. But for the price and space I paid, the location wasn't really an issue for me, especially since the hotel offers bus rides to and from the city. The bus rides are nice cuz it's a way to also meet people. Only qualm I had is that the windows are shielded by sliding doors, cuz they make it awkward to have sunlight coming through without exposing your room. But overall, I enjoyed my stay! The rooms are so spacious.

Best pool”

Palm Royale was definitely a pleasant surprise. The staff were very helpful and accomodating when I had an issue with the air-conditioning and moved me to another room instantly. The best feature of this Property without a doubt is the lagoon pool. It was so relaxing and tropical and they even had an inflatable swan and a massive lap pool. I was a bit skeptical when booking given it appeared to be outside the city centre but everything is super close in Cairns and with a rental car, it was easy to get around.

we had a fantastic time our daughter was married at palm cove,so we stayed there for a week,then returned to palm royal for two nights before returning to brisbane on our return to cairns we will be very happy to book our stay at palm royal cairns.

Great hotel, excellent service”

We had a wonderful stay at the Palm Royale Resort in Cairns. Excellent swimming pool, very clean & well maintained. Close to supermarket & shopping centre. 10 minute drive in to the centre of Cairns, location is good as long as you have your own transport. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Fantastic little paradise”

We originally had other accommodation which turned out to be terrible and booked 5 nights with Palm Royale Cairns and were so thankful for the wonderful staff, the room was nice and comfortable and great value for money, and only 15/20 minutes from most key things within the CBD and outer! Would highly recommend!

Exceptional”

We loved our stay at the Palm Royale Cairns Resort. Our room was very comfortable and spacious with lovely views to the pool. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful.

A classy hotel that has everything.”

I stayed here 8 nights and it was just perfect. The rooms A/C and fan are essential and work really well. The room is very soundproof and has everything l needed. Comfy double bed, kettle, fridge, TV, clean bathroom and a balcony. The hotel workers are very efficient and easy to talk to. The location is 10 mins drive from the centre of Cairns but lots of shops and places to eat very close by. I hired a car so location was irrelevant to me. There's no restaurant there, but they do offer a takeaway delivery service. A bit expensive but convenient for some. This hotel would definitely suit solo travelers or couples. It's quite classy and comfortable at a very affordable price. And it has 2 pools to relax in. Overall, l highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and will be staying here on my next trip to Cairns. A very enjoyable stay indeed. Go for it.

Good & clean hotel”

We enjoyed our stay at Palm Royale. Very clean and the service from all staff was fantastic. A bit of out city centre. Uber from airport to there was $25, taxi from city centre to there is $17 on average. A free shuttle to Colonial Cairns (not an enjoyable restaurant in my opinion). Good timely shuttle to reef terminal and DFO and nightly markets and back for $5 each way. Great value for money. Breakfast was good- usual hot breakfast offerings- not much service involved there but hey, for the price you pay, pretty decent. Would stay there again if required no problem!

Amazing value for a quality hotel”

we have stayed here three times since 2009, and will stay here again! the last time we stayed we were upgraded to a poolview room which was a nice surprise. the hotel needs a bit of paint, but that actually adds to it's charm. there is an enormous beautiful relaxing sculpted pool edged by palms and the rooms are spacious, clean and well-presented with king-size beds (never underestimate the value of a king bed in the tropics!). there is no dinner restaurant or bar, but the resort offers a free shuttle to the nearby colonial club resort, so you can have a night out in a new setting and be driven back to your hotel afterwards. the impression is of an elegant hotel no longer in it's prime, so overall you get quiet luxury for a budget price. fantastic value!

Nice rooms, great service”

we have stayed here before and hope to do so many times in the future. the value for money is fantastic, the pool is beautiful and the staff are great. cons (minor). there is no restaurant, except for breakfast. this is not a problem, as the staff will provide a shuttle bus to their sister hotel, the colonial club, which has a great restaurant with excellent food, and the already impressive prices are discounted still further for palm royale guests. so you can dine out, but with no transport hassles! very easy

Value for Money”

A very pleasant stay with extremely clean room. Bathroom has been updated and a lovely balcony to sit out on. The gardens are immaculate and the pool very large and clean. The hotel is gradually being updated but it seems to be done one block at a time. No undue noise. Whilst a little out of the centre of town, the bus is merely a 5 min walk away which will take you all over Cairns very easily. There is a supermarket, bakery and a few stores next door and several takeaways and a hotel also nextdoor. All in all excellent value for the money.

Good value resort with nice big pool”

It's so great value room in great Cairns! Book it if you visit Cairns with cars! Not in city center but good location to see cairns! We paid 65 bucks to stay at a king bed and 2 single beds! Nice and clean! And the reception was friendly and humor! Nice stay！

Good location”

I stayed six nights at the Palm Royal. I chose it because of its location. It was clean and comfortable. I didn't use the pool or Restaurant, however the pool did look clean and inviting. The bathrooms had recently been renovated but there was a lack of towel rails and a shelf or rack in the shower. I used the laundry facilities once, however the dryers were either "out of service" or just didn't dry properly in one cycle. They were extremely old! I also found the noise of the traffic coming from the main road too much to bare at times.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort in a complex away from the city. The staff were magnificent. The swimming pools are the best I have seen in an hotel complex. We found our week in Cairns most relaxing and the Palm Royale a great place to come back to of an evening.

It was truly a comfortable stay with clean rooms, in safe surroundings. Both Reception & cleaning staff were friendly hardworking & professional. A Great Stay.. On my next trip it's definitely the Palm Royal Resort.....

Comfortable and really good service”

nice comfortable hotel located about 5 km out of the cairns city centre. if you have a car it is convenient however if you don't it will be difficult to travel around as buses are not regular. rooms are clean and comfortable. front desk are very helpful and friendly. the pool and jacuzzi are lovely too. overall, good value for money. only thing that was bad is there is no wireless internet access which i think is a standard feature of most hotels. if you want low budget accommodation, nothing too fancy in cairns, then this is the place!
