Posh, clean and loving the pool & bar!”

I will strongly recommend OZO Colombo because of the facilities such as infinity pool with the view of the ocean, the well equipped gym, the nice restaurant and the amazing roof top bar! The location is abit off but the tuk tuk taxi are not that expensive, it takes about 280 rupees (10 mins) to reach the main area (fort station). Overall, the staff are really friendly and helpful too, I had a great stay there! The city is very decent and simple. Not as complicated as Bangkok but yet as lively as Kuala Lumpur. You can't really find very exciting party nightlight in Colombo but you can easily find high end roof top bars that serves drinks at a decent pricing. I tried The Fat Crab in Colombo which is only less than 1km away from the hostel, facing the ocean and I will greatly recommend everyone to try their crab dishes. Absolutely amazing! You can easily cover the main attractions of Colombo within half a day by a tuk tuk car (negotiate with the driver for a package price, I paid $4000 rupees for 4 attractions & a place for dinner which I paid myself) or a city tour bus. If you are looking for your usual shopping with brands like H&M, Topshop, Zara, LV, Prada... you can't hardly find any of these there.

Amazing Value for Money Hotel with Great Staff”

This Hotel is an amazing hotel. I often travel to Colombo on Business needs and previously stayed at hotels like Ramada, Galadhari etc... I stayed in September for the first time in OZO and it was amazing. since then I decided to stay in OZO every time. It is a great hotel. Nice rooms, clean and presentable hotel public areas, amazing room amenities for the money you pay and the list can go on. Staff at the Reception are very helpful. Front Office Manager is a great guy with a nice smile. I like to mention Bell Boy Palitha, Angelo and all the others in the bell service Team. They were all very helpful. Also Receptionist Bhanu went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me some requests I had. Thank you very much for looking after me.

Dirusha Lakshman/ Canada Stayed on April 15th. Located by the sea, we got a beautiful sea view room, felt like we were in a cruise. The hotel is a brand new building, super clean! We requested for an early check-in, it was approved, we request for a late check-out, it was approved also, they even provided us a room in the evening to refresh after we checked out. The reception personnel were very helpful and extremely friendly, especially both managers on duty were very professional. If we are going back to Colombo we would definitely staying back at this hotel, no regrets whats so ever! Keep up the Good work OZO staffs!

Stay at OZO”

-I went to Colombo to attend a medical course. I got a room on 10th floor overlooking the city. The out door roof top pool and bar was true to the photographs shown in the website. Everything was great about the stay except: -pricing: a bit on higher side given the number of small surrounding hotels and motels providing similar facilities and even spa/ Jacuzzi (no spa/Jacuzzi in this hotel) -food: The food/buffet provided in OZO is NOT HALAL. They serve pork and other non halal meat dishes. However there are variety of halal restaurants at a 7-8min walking distance form the hotel (walk towards Wellawatta station i.e. walk left when you come out of the hotel). -Rooms facing sea: very nice view of course. Beware of train passing just next to the hotel. the stay casn be easily spoiled by noise and transmitted vibrations. Try to get a room on high floor (preferably 10th floor onwards).

My 3 day stay at Ozo was very pleasant and relaxing. The hotel is conveniently located in Colombo. The room was great with a wonderful view of the ocean and the rooftop bar was a great place to spend time - great view of the city and the sea. Definitely recommend staying here when you visit Colombo.

OZO Colombo - greta rooftop views”

I stayed at OZO Colombo for convenience as a starting and ending point for an organized tour. The facilities were as expected with all the standard requirements covered. I stayed in the superior type rom which was a good sized and had great views up and down the coast line. The rooftop bar and pool offered a good place to relax and grab a bite to eat with music and entertainment on a Saturday & Friday night. Eat on level one offered a buffet breakfast which was good and as expected, offering a lovely view of the coast. The staff were attentive with good customer service. I would stay there again

Excellent Stay !!”

Freinds, If you travelling alone, with partner or Kids, the property is worth staying. The staff at welcome desk was pleasant & addressed ,even at 4am. The property is right on the sea shore (not the beach). You just have to cross the road and a railway line and you find an excellent local food on a private beach (WAADIA). Room is very clean, beds & wash area is well equipped & clean. The staff is very supportive. They made sure that we get our needs whenever we asked for. The breakfast is exceptionally good, The infinity pool area (on the roof top) is breath taking. Better than the picture shown. Dont forget the local bear (Lion) if you drink. 6-7 are happy hours. Small Gym, well equipped. Excellent concierge and travel desk. Driver (Mr Kamal) the best ever we got thru OZO. 5Km from city centre. Auto takes 200 LKR, easily available. Local train is nice experience, next to OZO. 7cents to city centre, one way. safe. Best place if you exploring SL. Money changer is walking distance.

Amazing Hotel”

I have stayed in this hotel over and over again. If I travel to COLOMBO and rooms are available this will always be my choice. Why? Becuase they provide a great level of service, FO Manager is one of the most Friendliest Staff I ever met from Sri Lanka. Several times I have requested for late check-out due to my work and business schedule, they never said no and always assisted if rooms are available. Special mention to Receptionist Bhanu, Bell Boys Angelo, Thalipa, and all other Bell Boys can't remember their names. Also the Quality of the Aminities in the Room and Food is considered as good considering the price. Well Done Keep up the Good Work/

Nice Stay!”

Arrived at the hotel at noon and got a quick check-in. Room was really nice with partial ocean view. The staff were really welcoming and we got a room on the 11th floor. The A la carte menu is very limited, small portions for the price and pricey too (with taxes). The beach is half a km away which is a short walk. Not too many options to eat nearby but a quick tuk-tuk ride for LKR300 return will get you to the nearby shopping and eating areas around Galle Face which are 3 km from the hotel. Amazing but small infinity pool with an excellent view especially during sunset. Pricey drinks at the roof top bar, best to visit during the evening happy hours to get a 50% off. Took a 4 hour Colombo tour one afternoon for LKR2800 which was nice and covered all the important places and shopping areas. A must visit to the Ministry of Crabs which is at the Dutch Hospital about 6 km from Ozo. Needed towels in the late evening, but unable to reach the housekeeping staff, however got them in the morning. Even the service in the Eat restaurant and pool side can be greatly improved. Helpful staff and overall a nice stay.

OZO for fun”

OZO is right on the coastline and provides a great view of city and ocean. It's far enough from the busy streets so it's not as noisy as other areas of Colombo. The roof is where it's at! Swimming, DJ, view, food, beautiful bar will keep you on the 14th floor everyday. The breakfast buffet is very diverse and everything is fresh. This is a very busy hotel, if you're looking for a more intimate stay this is not the hotel, if you want to meet people and be in the thick of it then this is your place!

I will stay in the same hotel the next time. Only one comment, the customer service at the lobby counter needs to improve. It took me half an hour to check in at 2pm. Maybe more training or allocation of more service staff might improve the waiting time.

We just stayed for 1 night in Ozo Colombo and were very impressed with the hotel overall. The staff are very friendly and courteous, the room was modern, clean and tidy and the breakfast was excellent. The only let down was the location,next to a railway line, but there were plenty of tuk tuk's on hand to get you round the city. The rooftop bar and restaurant was very nice and the view over the ocean was good also.

View of colombo coast, which was very nice. nice rooftop bar. the pool was right next to it (seemed small but view just awesome). area is quiet. room nicely designed with big flat screen TV. clean. staff very helpful and friendly. there're a few restaurants nearby, including a beachside seafood restaurant (not that many choices of seafood. really depends on what they got that day, but prices were reasonable and food was tasty). other than that, not many shops around, unless u walk back up to the main road. but that's why it's so quiet, so depends on what you prefer - convenience or quietness.

Quick Trip”

Had the chance to have a few days in Colombo and to stay at the Ozo. Great place to stay. But would not eat their seafood or roast buffets again. They have a lot to be desired for. Not a lot of seafood for the buffet and the roast buffet had only one roast and it was as tough as boot leather and not very much else. They will have to rethink these again. Other than that we had a great place. Room overlooked the railway line of which is right next to the ocean. Great views.

Great Ocean View but Remote Location”

We arrived after midnight on a quiet Buddhist New Year holiday. Check-in was handled quite quickly. Unfortunately, emails to the hotel never received replies so I was forced to call to confirm our late arrival. The room was modern and comfortable. Numerous power outlets, nice shower with plenty of hot water and a comfy bed. View from our ocean-side room was lovely, trumped only by the rooftop bar which offers a fantastic view of Colombo. Breakfast was good with numerous choices of local and western dishes. Kudos to the egg chef, who dealt with a very busy breakfast rush and many rude, demanding guests. We found dinner on the rooftop limited to pizzas and light snacks which was fine but, a dress code is enforced and children must leave as it's an establishment serving alcohol. All understandable, but limited our options for a sunset swim and bite to eat while everything else was closed for the holiday. The neighborhood is quite sparse, offering very little in the way of shopping or eating. A 5-10 minute walk away from the beach brings you to a main road with numerous local food choices and a few markets to pick up supplies. There are two local train stations within about 15 minute walk that can take you to Colombo Fort in the city center for 10 Rupees. An exciting ride with no doors and open windows. The hotel is on a busy road with a train track next to the beach. Most automobile noise was muted by double-paned windows but trains rumble past quite often before sunrise. Hotel transport in a car with AC was quite expensive. A tuk-tuk using meter took us to the bus station for 440 while the hotel charged over 2000. Overall, the hotel was only a year old so still shiny & fresh. Staff performance was great in the restaurant and front desk did an adequate job. Bellmen were helpful. Housekeeping did a fine job.
