Good Find ”

Khamphaeng Phet is not on the tourist trail but both it and hotel NAVARAT is a great stop over point if you bus it to Chiang Mai. It is a true Thai experience , so you will need some basic Thai to enjoy things here. The NAVARAT is within walking of all local attractions and they pick you up from the bus station if you contact them (75 Baht / person) . The free brekkie is simple , eggs on toast , coffee and juice but at the price who can argue? The rooms are spotless and you do get hot water in the showers. You can walk to the Ping river in 2 minutes and have access to the free Sirijit fitness parks and swimming pool. It is a one minute walk to the nearest food and product evening market and you can buy anything you need with a five minute walk. The local , brilliant historical precinct is a 10 or so minute walk or 50 baht song taew or 75 from NAVARAT. A/c and fridge in room but use laundry near by - charge by kilo not by piece. Local entertainers in hotel restaurant at night and food passable but more variety within 10 minutes walk. Enjoy! Long livr NAVARAT.

Good value hotel”

The Navarat Hotel has a central location, close to the river and the nightmarket, the Historical Park and the National Museum are easy to visit. Check in was quick and efficiënt. Very helpfull staff, in the restaurant as well. Good meals and breakfest. Recommend. Oh Yes, quick laundryservice.

Very Good Hotel with friendly staff, some English spoken. They were very helpful. The location was good near the river and miles of park. The market both day and night ones were only a couple blocks away. Heritage site was spectacular.

Best hotel in town .. but.”

We have stayed at this hotel twice before, and did enjoy the return ... but ... shortly. The staff are great; check-in and check-out were swift; room very clean and wifi very good. But .. breakfast was not good this time; there is very little selection to choose from. Two of the three fruits on offer were old and damaged; my Thai partner tried two Thai dishes, but found both unacceptable. Breakfast was not so good when we last visited; this time is was worse. Otherwise, great hotel.

Clean modern hotel in good location”

One of the few modem style hotels in the city. Conveniently located to night market and western downtown. Highway to Bangkok/ Chiang mai is also near. Staff is friendly and rooms are spacious and clean

*NOTE* - the agoda description for the superior room says it has a safe in the room. they do NOT. Deluxe rooms do. We booked a superior then had to pay extra at the hotel to move to a deluxe room because we needed the inroom safe. Other than that, our stay here was very good. Room are not spotless but very clean. Staff is EXCELLENT, very helpful, good english. really great. Breakfast in mediocre, but there's lot of restaurants around. very close to the night market which is great for dinner. Bikes you can use for free. Wifi is included but is fairly slow but fine if you just need to check email etc.

Charming little place near the river”

We stayed here as a halfway point on our drive from Bangkok to Changmai. Kampaengphet itself was such a lovely surprise of a town. It is very peaceful, friendly, and local. The hotel is right near the river, so you can walk along it and watch the local life in the evening. It is near a local night market, as well. There is also a main street with little shops and a couple of restaurants on it, which was also very nice. The town is very small, so the Historical Park is also maybe a mile or two away. Overall we really loved our stay in this town, and the hotel was very clean and well located with very kind and attentive staff. We will easily stay here again.

Excellent stay withut any hassle”

I stayed two nights at the hotel, the first night with my mom and kids, and the second night just only me. I asked to change the room from twin-bed room to double bed one without any hassle. The staff is polite, friendly, and very helpful. The room is spacious, clean with all amenities needed. Breakfast is a mix of Thai and American Breakfast, which is good enough (nothing special.)

As far as the city of Kamphaeng Phet goes the hotel has a good location right near the river ping and a reasonable size night market where you could get food as well as buy all sorts of things mainly clothes and shoes. But unless you have access to a motor vehicle which we didn’t , there’s no tuk Tuk’s or moto taxis so be prepared to walk!! It’s not really a tourist city but the hotel facilities were a lot better than living at the parents house in the jungle !!

Good value. ”

For the low price paid, this was a good value. The standard (2 beds) room was clean and the AC was quite good. Although the "hot" water was slow to generate and more like lukewarm, the toilet facility was adequate. Internet wifi w,as fine throughout the building. Location is great, next to the river, the night market, and walking distance to the historical park. The Western breakfast I had was typical of hotels throughout Thailand but I enjoyed it nonetheLess, and the coffee was quite good. I'll return here for sure.

the hotel is a very good location in the central and near to the Ping river. The staff is so kind as to help with any information and requirement. The breakfast is very delicious and included American breakfast with a lovely taste. The room is clean and comfortable while I am staying here.

The hotel is EXCELLENT. I would rate it 9.5. The whole hotel, and especially the rooms, are well appointed and everything looks new. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our stay was a great success.

Good solid hotel”

Very practical stay. We enjoyed it. Good location in the middle of this small city. No frills but a very decent room. God choice if you are not looking for a resort but a solid hotel.

Probably the best hotel in town”

We had previously stayed at a few other hotels in town, but not at this one - what a great find. Check in and check out were efficient and quick. Our bedrooms were spotlessly clean, and not a hint of mould in the bathrooms. There was not a wide selection available for breakfast, but enough choices for vegans and vegetarians; very tasty breakfast. The staff were great. Highly recommended.

One of best choices in Kamphaeng Phet”

This is a very small town and this hotel is as good as it gets. It's clean and the location is good: next to the night market and fairly close to the historical park. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food choices are not great (the breakfast is terrible) but overall this hotel still offers good value for the money.

Very good”

The hotel has recently been refurbished. The rooms are very modern and the bathroom very nice. The bed is a little firm but they are like that in most hotels here. The location is excveptional, just actross from the night market, the river and the centre of town. The hotel also offers free bicycles which was such a blessing as it is hard to rent a bicycle anywhere else. It was eassy to cycle from the hotel to the ruins a few kilometres away. A very easy ride. The breakfast is not great but ok if you are happy with tea and eggs or noodles. It is the best hotel in town.

Interesting town”

Decided to stop in Kamphaeng Phet for one night, whilst driving from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. Spent an afternoon visiting the old buildings scattered across the town and then enjoyed an evening walk through the night market, which is right next to the hotel.

Good stop off point if you’re travelling north. Near the river and the large night market. Room very nice for the money, wi-fi, TV good. Shower power a bit weak. Pleasant dining room…breakfast was OK… usual Thai provincial hotel dodgy sausages and “plastic” ham. Would stay here again. Recommended.
