Perfect place for quiet retreat”

Historic building with lovely open air and indoor onsens. The rooms are more than 60 years old but they have been well maintained. Nothing over the top but clean, comfortable and functional. Felt like time has slipped back to the past with the antiques and display of photos. Simply love the atmosphere here! The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Will stay again if I come back to this area!

Traveling Across Three Generations”

It was very charming and lovely. It was a luxurious experience to soak in the hot springs while watching the waterfall. The view from the room was also very beautiful. However, my mother has difficulty walking and it was very difficult for her to go up and down the stairs. The inn was very spacious and we had to go here and there, which was quite challenging. We asked if we could have our meals in our room, but it was a bit difficult to arrange. These are things that cannot be understood from reviews, so I wanted to write about them.

Hot springs, greenery, and streams.”

It is an old inn, but you can enjoy the greenery along the stream while soaking in high-quality hot springs that flow directly into the inn. The food is simple but delicious, and all the staff are polite and make your stay enjoyable. The rooms in the Keiryukan building do not have a toilet or bath, but the large glass windows provide a beautiful view of the greenery and the coolness of the stream. Although there are few trains from Yonezawa Station, there are also bus services, so you can relax even if you don't have a car. It is a calm and rustic inn that I would like to stay at again.

"Baifubu Onsen was good, even though the water was transparent and hot."”

This is an old building from the Taisho era. The facility has the image of an old ski lodge. The room amenities are only toothbrushes, towels, and yukatas, so you need to bring your own facial cleanser, lotion, etc. We used the hair dryer in the changing room of the Olympic bath. The outdoor bath (without a washing area) was open from 6 am, but the Olympic bath was available 24 hours a day. You can enjoy the hot springs many times. The staff were all very kind, and we were able to stay comfortably. The stars were beautiful at night, and since our room was by the river, we were soothed by the scenery and the sound of the water. The price for two meals during the Bon Festival was reasonable. Thank you for your hospitality. This was my first time at Shirafu Onsen, but it was easy to access from Yonezawa.
