Not bad but average at best”
Metropark is a pretty old hotel and needs a bit of work. If you get a good deal, and it's close to your area of interest, it might be worth it with a breakfast buffet and swimming pool. But if you want new facilities and modern rooms, look elsewhere.

we've stayed in this hotel many times. they used to be called holiday inn lido hotel. there is this bellhop uncle who is really helpful, often going out of his way even when i wasnt staying at this hotel. for this trip, we made a last min booking from agoda at the beijing airport. upon arrival at the hotel, the front desk said he couldnt find my booking! he made many many checks and still cant confirm on it. i was pretty sure my card has been charged by agoda and the email was there. in the end, he offered to put me into a room first, when the registration from agoda comes in, he will then make the adjustment at his end. i thought this idea was fantastic, we just needed a rest! everytime i walk past the lobby, i would go up to him and ask if the booking was in. he would remember me and i appreciated that. gave him a good feedback when we checked out. upon our return to sg, turns out the hotel made a mistake and not agoda with our booking! oh well, the service was still good though. oh, the thai restaurant at level 2 is authentic. do try :)

my favourite business hotel”
this is my to-go hotel if i'm visiting wangjing. there's a starbucks outlet at the shopping corner of the hotel. post office if you need to mail stuffs home. bank of china if you need to change money. overall, central location for me. tip: go eat at haidilao, available in many parts of beijing. it's good steamboat! yum!

Pretty good, very convenient location”
It was a good experience over all. The location is very nice, there are lots of places to go to and hang out, eat at around the area. Lido plaza is a fun place also. Except that when I asked the cleaning service people if I could have an extra bottle of water, she had me paying 5yuan for it. It's my first time asking for more water in Beijing and got charged for it. So be ready to get a big jar of water in Wastons in lido plaza!

Conformtable, Well Appointed Hotel”
This is our second time at the Lido and we were again very happy there and would choose the same hotel again if we come back to Beijing. If you are Jewish and need kosher food, it is very near the Chabad Centre, making it a very convenient location.

First stay at the Lido but probably not my last. Service was very good staff very friendly and helpful. The furniture in my room was a little on the old side probably been aaround for awhile but other some some wear and tear it was fine. Bed was comfortable and had plenty of hot water. for morning shower. Tried the buffet for lunch good varitey of foood American and Asian. Will definatly stay there againn especially if I can get the same rate as this trip. My friend liked the hotel enough that he changed his retrun reservation to the Lido from the Radission.

Great Hotel for bussiness or sightseeing”
Like always the Metropark Lido Hotel is good for a stay. Unfortunate the heating system was not working at all, and it was cold in the room. hope the next time it is working again.

Easy access”
I stay many times at Metropark Lido due to my business in Art. I like the options of close by shopping and restaurants and easy access to the airport. The hotel starts to wear down and needs an upgrade soon, especially in common areas.

Nice hotel, common for the area”
We usually stay the Rosedale Hotel but decided to try the former Holiday Inn Lido (now the metropark). Staff were helpful. Room was comparable to the Rosedale. Price was reasonable considering the time of year we stayed there. They were helpful with directions to local areas. Would return to the hotel.

Perfect hotel for business and pleasure”
I like this hotel very much. It is convenient, quite easy from the airport since you don't have to go through the inner part of Beijing. It also has some good restaurants, both inside the hotel and nearby. Rooms are big and spacious and have enough space for extra bed without taking the whole room. Breakfast is expensive, but have a lot of good choices. It is also walking distance to a park, which is nice for an afternoon stroll.

much better than five stars hotel”
I've enjoyed to stay here with very pleasant service like early check-in, store luggage, huge breakfast and swimming pool. The room was quite big, comfortable and safe as well. It's much better than old five stars hotels in Beijing.

Old but still soldiering on”
This hotel was one of the first foreigner hotels in Beijing and it is now dwarfed by its sleeker and taller neighbours such as the Crowne Plaza and the spanking new Nuo. That said the location is perfect - equidistant from the international airport and the city and there are plenty of eateries and bars nearby. Eudora Station opposite is especially good. Clientele appear to be more locals and some tour groups - the foreign contract workers have now moved on. The offering is perfectly adequate and well run for a reasonable price. I would use it again.

I like this old hotel. It is still very comfortable and very good value for money. Have stayed there since mid eighties when it was one of the first Western hotels in Beijing. This time I noticed that the pub and steak house were gone. Used to frequent both. The rooms are very nice and well maintained. Many restaurants in the area within walking distance.

Holiday Enjoyment”
I had hiked 9km of The Great Wall with Beijing Hikers during the day and the staff was nice enough to move my things to my new room in the Executive Rooms and I received a beautiful Chopstick set for a Christmas gift. The drinks for the cocktail hour are free flowing. Great holiday place. :)

Very nice hotel, good value”
This hotel is basically in the same area as the , but we found the rooms were cheaper and nicer at Metropark! The rooms were a decent size, not huge, but clean and had been renovated more recently than . Some of the hallways are a little dingy and the outside is not impressive, but the rooms are fine and good value.

Dated but clean hotel...staff need some training”
Pro- 1) The hotel is 50 b from the airport and the same again from the city center so a good miway point 2)It's an old five star hotel converted to a three star, it's clean and we'll kept up 3) There are restaurants, bars, banks and shops just outside the hotel so it's pretty convenient Cons- 1) It's like the staff haven't been trained, not sure what was going on but no one seems to know anything when we had a question. Not a deal breaker just really frustrating 2) Outside of the room rate everything else is really expensive for what they charge 3) We had breakfast one morning of our stay, it wasn't bad but sure didn't have much of a selection. Looks it's not a bad place and the staff are friendly don't get me wrong. For a short in and out of Beijing l stay there everytime.
