Pleasant stay at a nice location”
We had a very nice stay for a couple of days at Mekong Dolphin Hotel. We were pleased with most things except with the breakfast. The buffet table had several Asian dishes but few European/western choices. Better bread, yoghurt/muesli etc is needed!

Directly opposite the mighty Mekong River”
The hotel appears to mostly cater for Cambodians. The rooms are of a good size.and those at the front overlook the Mekong River.The buffet breakfast was good but for an unknown reason the location was moved to the other side to the ground floor. The buffet breakfast became a choose your breakfast from selection 1, 2 or 3.and was a significant disappointment. The food selection was very basic and limited and much inferior to the buffet breakfast. Thankfully the breakfast returned the next day to its original location and the buffet was breakfast was again available.

Value for money”
The room is big with a balcony which is great for viewing the Mekong River. The bus station is not considered near to this hotel. Kratie is not big therefore it is still within walking distance if not travelling with big or heavy luggage.

This is propably the best hotel in kratie, the only one i know that has a gym and a sauna both a wet sauna and dry.There also is a breakfast buffet with khmer and asian food mainly.There are nice river views, wifi was good not much to fault except lack of hot water and they have generator on site when blackouts occur in kratie.

good value for money”
Nice bug room. Very clean and great views across the Mekong. 10 mins walk to restaurant. We ate twice at the Jasmine which is shaped like a boat on the sea front. Only let down was the breakfast. Lots of Cambodian choices but only fried eggs for the western visitors so we had fried eggs with friedrice both days. The only bread offered was sugar bread ie dipped in butter and sugar. Shame as all the other hotels we visited offer French bagettes, pastries etc. The staff organised our trip to see the dolphins for $55 for 4 people. We would stay there again but we not go for the breakfast option.

Great choice for Kratie”
This is my second visit to Kratie. This hotel provides good value for money in addition to a good buffett which was included. I would come back here again on my return trip.

Good facility and good service. Best location in Kratie with nice river view. However, the bathroom has water leaking, and it does not fixed until checkout. That is the only unacceptable thing.

huge room, big bathroom (all western standards), very clean. one only bad point: staff not honest about prices of buses (i booked my seat through the reception, as i arrived late at night and had to leave the morning after, i expected a little surcharge, as usual, but not so much, and above all they pretended that was the real cost of the bus which i know it wasn't).

Manager was really disengaged and rude”
We arrived during Khmer New Year. We understood the magnitude of the celebrations but the manager wouldn't even let us buy a coke, wouldn't order a tuk tuk for departure, wouldn't replace missing batteries in the safe or order bread for my daughter for breakfast- although breakfast was included in the price they were just ordering in fried rice. I asked if there was an option for my daughter to just have some sort of bread and jam instead he just said no. Otherwise it was a great hotel- just so unfriendly and unwelcoming.

The best hotel in town! pay a few extra $ and get a great river view room. The breakfast provided is not that good, pay a few $ and get a nice omelette in the adjacent restaurant.

Very Disappointing.....left one day early”
We had so many "hiccups" of problems from the first day. Paid for 4 nights but left one day early. The room was nice with a view of the city and Mekong however so many things kept happening......lots of ants and then the horrible smell of pest spray (this could had been done before we checked in but instead it greeted us), internet was sporadic, breakfast was lousy (only one vegetarian item and they would not work with us to do anything else), manager opened our room door without knocking at 7:15 a..m. on the Sunday we ended up leaving. We had the do not disturb sign up too thankfully the only thing that kept the manager from seeing us in our undergarments was the slide lock on the inside. Very disappointing stay!

Need improvement”
During my stay, the first look into the room is cleaned. Later on, I noticed that there are some dust under the beds. The cleaning staff should move bed aside and clean the area underneath. I also notice the breakfast for Agoda's clients not professionally prepared. The restaurant was closed and when I asked they bring to the restaurant and allow me to order the food. If not ask, they will ignore it. So the restaurant should be open, organized as normal and reserve some dishes so guests will be aware and access.

Not great but no better options”
The check in staff were unfriendly. The lift was broken and we were on the fifth floor. There was hardly ever any hot water. Breakfast buffet was very basic. Views are good and it is in a central location. Unfortunately I did not see any better options in Kratie.

Could be better”
Under the beds and behind the furniture were TONS of dust. I asked them to clean, showing them the dust. They did. They cleaned only the spots I showed to them.. So the cleaning was not complete. That was funny actually! :) we had red ants in the room as well, hot water was rare. We had only once the breakfast over there. Cafe, jam and toasts were everything except what it should have been! The Asian food was not impressive either. So we use to have our breakfast at Sorya Kayaking, not far away from the hotel. They make good coffee and great pancakes (our kids are young and like to eat what they are used to). The personnel at the hotel does not speak English! That is a real bad point for such an hotel.
