"Very good value for money in the Lumbini Bazaar. Basic but lovely touches such as the owner brought us incense sticks in the evening to get rid of mosquitoes. The shower in the un-attached bathroom worked well and the hotel was near many eateries for breakfast and food. Stayed for 2 nights which was enough time to see the Lumbini attractions, and the owner helped us with organising our onward travel. Only downside was hard beds - which is to be expected in Nepal! "

"I enjoyed my stay at Ananda Inn. The location is great and it is right in front of the gate of Maya Devi Temple. I took bus from Pokhara and the bus stopped right in front of the way to the hotel. The restaurant served Nasi Goreng ala Indonesia which suprised me and many other choices with reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and they even provided me with a breakfast box because I had to check out very early in the morning and the staff accompanied me to the bus stop just to ensure I will be fine walking that early. There are not many choices of hotels in Lumbini and Ananda Inn is definately a highly recommended hotel in Lumbini."

"I have a very nice and relaxing stay at Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort. Originally it was to be a bit out of my price range (I was a single traveler on a budget) but upon research of hotels in that area I discovered that all hotels were in the high price range. I went with Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort due to it's more eco and natural design. The photograph of the thatched bungalow made it the choice for me and I was not disappointed. Upon arrival I was happy to see it situated a little distance from the main tourist strip, nicely nestled inside the secluded woodlands. I was greeted warmly by the members of staff who were expecting me, offered a refreshment and asked how my journey was. My bungalow was what I would describe as eco luxury - 2 big beds, white linen, many windows for natural light, bottled water to drink, big bathroom and chairs on the porch to enjoy the peace of the garden. The water was solar powered and warm whenever I showered. The food was good and the staff always friendly and willing to help with anything you may need. I took one of their bikes out for a whole day, enjoying the sunshine and seeing the local sights. It is definitely the best way to see the town. In the evenings there was an outside campfire which you could sit beside, chatting with the fellow guests and staff listening to the wildlife and hearing about everyone's adventures. This is definitely a little gem of a place and I would highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to stay in this area. If I ever return to Lumbini I will book a stay here again without hesitation and would look forwards to seeing the friendly faces of all the staff. If you want peace, relaxation, nature with an edge of luxury and friendly faces this is the place for you."
