Our kids loved this hotel”

The staff were lovely and the location was perfect for us. The concierge and hotel staff helped with directions and taxis, which made getting around easy. The room service food was delicious, housekeeping were helpful and friendly, and I enjoyed morning coffees from Delica. It was a short walk to Myeong-dong, which had great street food and things to buy (the best tips were from Marie Kawaii's 15 things to do in Myeong-dong video on Youtube), and we liked the Lotte department store next door. My husband and I both found the hotel wi-fi to be super-quick and we would stay here for future business trips. We may just find two kids who now love Seoul stowing away in our luggage!

My vote of Best hotel Seoul downtown”

I think this hotel should be one of the best hotels in downtown Seoul. The service is fantastic and so are the rooms and facility. Access to the subway is about 100 steps away either near the hotel Lobby or via Lotte Dept Store which is also linked to the hotel. We had a surprised upgrade of a deluxe room in the new wing and our 3 night stay was fantastic. Shopping at Myeong Dong is 5 mins walk offering fantastic food and huge variety of shops. The airport bus is also located just outside the hotel, we booked the hotel car and the service at the airport provided as part of the service on check in services is superb. Kudos to Lotte World. I will be back.

Excellence Customer Sevice hotel in Myeong-Dong”

Lotte Seoul Hotel is located opposite of Myeong-Dong shopping street. Their staffs provide excellence customer service which is out of my expectation. Every staffs can speak good English even bell service. Once I approached front desk there are a few people to service me. Their room is bigger that other hotel in Myeong-Dong. I like their toilet which is big and clean.

Great stay with friendly and attentive staff !”

Overall, we had a great Christmas vacation stay at Lotte Hotel. The rooms were great and the staff were very friendly. Although room rate is quite expensive including restaurants inside the hotel. The free shuttle going to Lotte world was also very helpful for us. Although coming back from Lotte World to Lotte Seoul Hotel, we were not able to make use of the shuttle bus as they said it cannot travel as it was too traffic and there was demonstration going on. Nevertheless, we were helped and ushered by a very friendly staff at Lotte Hotel in Lotte World. His name is HAN SIN YOUNG and he took time out to show us the way to the Subway station. He did not leave us until we were able to get to the subway station. He was very accomodating and we would like to commend him. He is a great help to the hotel and a great employee. We thank him for this most especially that my nephew is on a wheelchair and he made sure that we can get back to our hotel safely.

Great location”

The location of this hotel is awesome... attached to lotte department store and short walk to city hall and Myeong dong... the rooms are older and dated (we had a deluxe room which is slightly larger) with 1 king bed.... breakfast buffet is fantastic and reasonable priced... however the other hotel up charges are ridiculous (65,000W for room service bibimbap? If u walk to the food court in the basement lotte department store you can get it for 5000W), oj in their waterfall cafe was 17,000W, and laundry was 14,000W per shirt.. just be sure to avoid these up charged rackets and you’ll be fine..::

Great location but somewhat small room”

staying in lotte was the best thing considering the 0 degree weather in seoul. the hotel is directly connected to lotte mall with lots of food and shopping options. just across the street through an underpass is buzzing myeong dong--another hip/ teen shopping district with lots of cafes and restaurants as well. the hotel room, however, was a bit small. kudos to the hotel for using good quality l'occitane products though. service was prompt and good too.

Fantastic Location with Warm service”

Amazingly huge hotel,probably one of the largest im Seoul, train is just under the hotel, connected with lotte shopping Mall Andnwhat i like the most is next to Myeong Dong shopping district and mins walking away to Nandaemun Taxi fares from Airport to here is around 60,000 Won ! Definitely will come back to the hotel Tks Agoda !

Great Location! Beautiful Room!”

The Lotte Seoul Hotel was a luxurious hotel in the heart of Seoul. The rooms were small, but typical of Asia. They were beautifully decorated. The hotel was in walking distance of many attractions, and it was no problem to leave the hotel and find a cafe to eat at. We also were able to have hotel pick-up for our tours that we took in Seoul. My only complaint would be the hotel restaurant and bar prices. On a cold and rainy day, we decided to stay in the hotel. We ate at the Italian cafe. A glass of wine was 26,000 won (that was the cheapest option). Bottles of wine were from $200 - thousands of dollars. A cup of soup was 18,000 won. There were no cheaper options in the hotel. Luckily, you are not confined to the hotel normally and there are many, many great restaurants in the area, and there's always a 7-11 near-by where you can buy some wine or beer. I do recommend!!!!

Great location, good English skill for all staffs!”

The hotel front desk got one of the best English speakers in Korea, and they are both professional, friendly and helpful. Firstly, the location is one of the best in Seoul, airport shuttle bus 6701 drop off location (start and end) here. Also, as we planned to surf snowboard at VivaldiPark Ski Resort, our shuttle bus also start and end in front of Lotte Hotel Seoul too. From the hotel lobby is connected to MTR station and shopping areas of MYUNG DONG.

Great Service and Great Location”

We had a great stay at Lotte Seoul. The staff were all very nice and efficient. They were all well trained. Lotte Seoul is connected to the Lotte Department store which has a food court and supermarket at the basement. The top floors are dedicated to Duty Free shops (very crowded!). The hotel is conveniently located near Lotte Young mall and the Myeongdong Area. Easy access to great restaurants and cafes. It also has free shuttle rides to Itaewon, Garosugil, Lotte World Hotel. My only problem was that I could not find a toy shop in the area (even in the department store!). My son wanted to buy some Pororo toys. We ended up buying the toys at Lotte Mart in Jamsil.

Convenient location but room is a tad too small”

Apart from the room being too small to house our luggages n stuff (after much shopping), it is next to Myeong-dong a great shopping area with pushcarts stalls at night and a walking distance (stroll about 30 mins) to Namdaemun (shopping of whoelsale or local goods) & Insadong (Cultural area with museums). Worthwhile stay and taxi fee to Doongdaemun (clothes retail MEGA area) is only about 4000 to 5000 won. It is also easy for cab driver to bring us back to the hotel as it is a popular hotel which will minimise any searching/ misunderstanding. The TV channels in the hotel is quite extensive so we did watch some Korean movies/Variety shows and English re-runs in the room. As Myeong-dong area is just across the street, breakfast is easy as there is McDonalds, KFC,Coffee Bean Tea Leaf, and for lunch/dinner... TGIFridays, Outback Steakhouse....and many coffee joints, Starbucks, eateries in the day and the local Korean dishes can be found over there with some opened until mid-night. Paris Baguette bakery-cum-cafe opens from morning till midnight as well, so night snacks is of no problem at all. As I travelled in Dec,the weather is cold and wonderful. Any purchases in a shop above 30,000won, do ask for tax refund form. Wonderful Seoul deserves repeat visits!!

A Good Hotel at Seoul's City Center”

stayed at this hotel from oct 21-23. i agree with previous reviews that the room given to me is quite small compared to other hotels with the same star level and nightly rates. however, i must say that the amenities in the room are complete and very nice. the bed and pillows and comforters are very comfortable. the push button remote control for the lights, temp, clock alarm is very innovative. the location of the hotel is very strategic since it is connected to a very big mall (lotte mall), to the duty free shop, it is very close to a subway station and most of all, it is a few steps away from myeongdong shopping area. there are a number of tourist spots that can also be accessed from the hotel. since the weather is very nice at this time in seoul, it is okay to walk from lotte to nandaemun, city hall, myeongdong cathedral. the hotel staff are also very courteous and approachable. we also arrived early morning and the check-in crew was very considerate to let us check in at 11am despite the official check-in time is actually at 2pm. their concierge service is also very helpful in giving us directions to the places that we wanted to go to, showing us in the map our route, very accurate in providing taxi fare rates and very knowledgeable with regards schedules of some tourist spots (example, they told us that gyeokbokgong palace is closed during tuesdays, so it saved us time going there). on our second night, we highly appreciate that coming from a shopping activity, we returned to our room to find that they left a bottle of wine and some fruits as compliments. the hotel is also clean despite many people coming in and out of the hotel during our stay since there was a convention. also, the hotel was gracious enough to lend umbrellas to all guests one morning when it rained. i would say that i highly recommend this hotel and i would definitely choose it again when i go back to seoul. despite the relatively high cost, you actually get very good value for your mo

Impeccable service and hospitality. Great location ”

Second time staying at Lotte Hotel Seoul. The rooms are relatively spacious and location is great. The hotel is linked by underground pass to the Eujilro-1 ga Train Station (green line) and also a 5 minute walk to City Hall Train Station (blue line). The main Myeongdong street is just 5 minutes away by foot. But what sets the hotel apart is the service. This time I travelled alone with my 12 year old. She fell sick suddenly and the hotel staff offered us great help in searching for a nearby clinic on a Saturday. And as we are not conversant in Korean, a Front Service staff actually walked us to the clinic and acted as a translator throughout. We would have been so lost without their help. The concierge team is also very helpful with directions to various places we wanted to visit and with restaurant bookings. We will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Great Location”

I booked a room on club floor for my parents while they were staying in Seoul. They were very satisfied about the location since it's just across to Myeong-dong and next to Lotte Mall. The afternoon tea and cocktail service are absolutely a plus. The only problem was that no one from front desk can speak Chinese. That surprised me a little bit.

Exceptional”

Room is smaller than some hotels I stayed in Seoul. The location is exceptionally good. Shopping and good restaurants in Myeongdong are all within walking distance. Lotte hypermart is just downstairs. The bus stop for airport shuttle is just right at the door step of the hotel. Room is very dim and comes with see through bathroom. You can lower the blinds from outside the bathroom. If you have little kids who like to peek, might be the kind of room design you will want to avoid. Room is considered very expensive compared to other hotels in Seoul. But for the price, you can expect excellent service from the staff.

Nice stay”

I think this is the best hotel in the area, though not as strategically located as Ibis or Royal hotel. You can pass through Lotte Dept. and Young store to get to Myeong dong. When it is winter time, this may be an issue when you want to stay in Myeong Dong past the mall closing time. We enjoyed our stay. The main wing is newer and renovated compared to the new wing, but the room sizes are smaller. I'm glad we stayed at the main wing. Raina at the concierge was especially helpful. Recommended a bunch of good restaurants to us and speaks very fluent english. Breakfast Buffet is overpriced, in my opinion. Housekeeping and bell service were also very efficient. Would stay here again.

Upgraded Again”

We have enjoyed our stay at Lotte Hotel Seoul for years now and now that they are familiar with us, they always upgrade us to a suite. It's great that we get the extra space/service for the same price. The staff are always ready to help us with a smile. However, the hotel used to be connected to their department store, which was soo nice with easy access, but they are now going under some rennovations, and I'm not sure I like how it's turning out. They should have just kept it the way it was. Right now, the Food Court is completely gone and their market space is about 1/3 of what is used to be. Not as much fun. But the HOTEL is excellent as ever!!! Oh and we stayed for 3 nights and 4 days but we realized that they dont really clean the room during our stay....and we left them a tip every day (about 10 bucks!).

Best hotel with best location”

i have been to seoul several times. but the best hotel with the best location is lotte hotel. friendly welcoming when check in, best facilities and comfort room, best view to seoul tower, several attraction near hotel like: palace, city hall, seoul station, namdaemun market, duty free, malls and department stores, easy public transport (subway, bus, taxi and train). two thumb up for lotte hotel !!!

Very good location, just next to Lotte department store and opposite of Myeong dong. Hotel's staff very nice and helpful, hotel room very clean and tidy. "New wing" is not as new as the main building, it is a little bit misleading..... Most of the hotel facilities were located at main building, so i suggest to book the main building if possible.
