An oasis on the road from new to old Sukhothai”

We loved the Legendha Sukhothai. The staff and accommodations were excellent. It felt like we were entering an oasis as we crossed the bridge over the fish pond from the parking lot to the grounds. We enjoyed the pretty swimming pool, which has deck chairs and an outdoor bar nearby. The covered dining area is large and open-air with views of the fish pond and a stage where they had traditional dancing one evening. I was hoping to walk to the historic park from the hotel in the morning, but it was too far in the heat. We paid for a ride instead but probably could have ridden the mile or so to the park on the hotel's rental bikes.

Lovely hotel”

Great location for Sukhothai Historic Park. Lots of places to eat along the street, and the hotel restaurant is really good too. Also a decent breakfast. - try the little coconut cakes. The hotel is very nice with lovely gardens and pool. We had rooms with windows looking out at the pool on one side and the garden on the other side. Everything was great, including the staff. I really enjoyed our stay at the Legendha.

Pleasant surroundings with a relaxed feel.”

Great environment with trees and foliage providing a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel has access to wat changlom at the back entrance. It has a small stream passing through it, which provides for opportunity to see some wildlife and adds to the character of the place. Sukhothai historical park is about 1km away. Bicycles are available at the park or can be hired locally. The swimming pool is warm as it gets the sun all day with no shade but is open till late. Enjoyed our 3 day stay with the staff providing great service. Breakfast was good with coconut hot cakes a favourite. We enjoyed the restaurant and food as we had a lunch after a morning visit to Sukhothai and 2 dinners. Massage was great best so far in Thailand.

Great Value ”

The Legendha is an older style hotel and only 3 stars but don't be put off by that. It has lots of character: a beautiful landscaped garden set well back from the road, large comfortable rooms and a good restaurant (there is little else around). It is within walking distance of the central area of the Historical Park (but there are plenty of tuk tuks available) and has a temple ruin at its back door. The staff are friendly and the spa affordable and good. Highly recommended.

Wonderful hotel with great service”

this hotel is a short bike ride away from the sukhothai historic park. however the bikes at the hotel are garbage. on the upside, a hotel staff member drove me to a bike rental close to the park. you can easily see everything in the pard before lunch time on a bike. also, check out the museum. not much else to do around old or new sukhothai. be sure to try sukhothai noodles.

Excellent hotel ”

Beautiful hotel...and very warm staff. The pool is even better than the photos suggest. A highlight of the visit was the extremely skilled Thai massage offered at the hotel by someone named P’Kho. I recently rolled my ankle in my travels, and he worked on it, leading me to feel much better. I was amazed at how he assessed and treated this issue. Wow, what a surprise. In terms of negatives about he hotel, the first night, the air conditioner didn’t seem to offer enough cooling. When I mentioned it In the morning, they offered to move me to another room, and that corrected the issue. However, what I realized is that the air conditioner remotes don’t seem to work, while the unit itself does, so this might be the source of the problem. Finally, keep in mind that this hotel is in Old Sukhothai, near the ruins. It’s quiet and tranquil. This is good. However, I strongly recommend eating meals in New Sukhothai. I didn’t have a chance to eat at the hotel, so no comment on that.

Nice Hotel and Nice staff”

Luxury Nice and Hospitality staffs. Good value for money. Thank you agoda for recommend the Legendha Sukhothai hotel for our vacation. Highly recommend we will be back to this hotel again for the next trip to Thailand. Also we will recommend this hotel to all we know. Thailand Treat”

i visited sukhothai with a friend visiting from the states, and we couldn't be happier. the hotel looked as if we had just walked onto a thai movie set -- it was really that grogeous. the staff was amazingly accomodating, and the rooms were very comfortable. the sea salt pool, and the easy walk to the historical park just made this place that much better. i would definitely stay here again. although i would recoomend eating the food in the old city rather than their fare, this was probably the only disappointment.

Cozy and Culture-enriched hotel”

On our trip, Sukhothai was toward the end of the list. We arrived at the hotel in the evening, the staffs were attentive and helpful during our stays. They also gave us a lot of useful information about foods (also nearby the hotel) , the historical park and so on. Services during breakfasts and dinners were very good. The room decoration was good, nice and clean. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

A nice hotel near the ruins.”

+ Hotel staffs were nice and friendly. + Hotel entrance building was under construction, but inside was very quiet and beautiful. + This hotel is very conveniently located near the Sukhothai historical park, and you can find convenience store across the road. - A room was clean enough, but facilities were little bit old. - Restaurant was so-so. All dishes at morning buffet were lightly seasoned. - There was no staff all the day at a poolside bar. If you feel thirsty at the pool side, you have to call the staff at the check-in counter.

Legendha Sukhothai is a nice place for take longer staying,I felt like at home. The place is close to the national historical park Ramkhamhang. All of facilities are very useful, food is very good taste " Thai Food" and room is very clean &comfortable,nice decoration and very peaceful with Thai house style and beautiful gardenning with Thai Flowers.It's a good place for staying & relaxing as back to the nature.

Very decent hotel well located to the historical park”

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I missed having an in room safe, but was given a large deposit box at the front desk which held my computer with ease. I felt that my items were very secure, since they had a two key system (one for the desk, one for the guest). My wife and I walked to the historical park in about 20 minutes, and there were many decent restaurants (Sukhothai standards) along the way. Bicycle rentals at the entrance to the park were about $1 per day, which was well worth it.

Highly recommend to stay at this hotel when you visit Sukhothai. It’s not walkable from Sukothai Historical Park in which Tuk Tuk is 50THB Per trip but who care if you can bike around the city. Nice toiletries with hot water for soaking in the bathtub after long walk. The hotel has thI costume to rent. Staff is great. Hotel is beautiful with Thai dancing show at 8.00pm

Gorgeous grounds; great location in Old City”

The air conditioner in my first room had an unpleasant, stale odor, but the staff cheerfully changed my room (& the next day they were cleaning the AC in that old room and airing it out). Perfect location to explore historical parks in Old Sukhothai; an easy walk to the centre of town and the Ramkamhaeng National Museum. Free breakfast buffet was adequate - good variety of Western and Asian foods; I've had better, but this one was fine.

The hotel is very well located. It's only 5 mins drive to Sukhothai Historical Park. There are many restaurants around the hotel where you can eat lunch or dinner. Breakfast at hotel is very good and lots of varieties of food. Hotel room is spacious and comfort for 3 persons.

Very good”

I stayed at the Legendha Sukhothai in October 2015. It was my fifth stay at this hotel. I really like the place and I would give it an overall grade of 8/10. Still it is not perfect, and there are good and bad points : Good - The location is great (±1km from the historical park) - The place is lovely with lush gardens, a nice swimming pool, a river, a suspended bridge… - The rooms, especially the top ones, are large, comfortable and clean Bad - The Wi-Fi is atrocious and excruciatingly slow - The food is average. Not good, not bad, just totally forgettable. - The official prices are outrageously high. I would advise to go only if you get an agency discount. Like I said, I've been there five times and I will probably go again.

Beautiful, safe, and central”

The facilities, staff, and property were all excellent. I would absolutely recommend the hotel to families or non-partiers who are travelling to Sukhothai. The old structures are about a 10-15min walk up the main road. Sukhothai itself is a must see for anyone interested in beautiful historical monuments, and looking for a break from the busy city. The locals are friendly and happy people and I felt very safe wandering around as as 2 young female travellers.

Green Oasis”

We stayed at Legendha Hotel only 2 nights. We wish, we could stay longer. The property is a green oasis. The garden is really well kept even at the dry season. Outside the hotel was everything dry, but this place like a jungle. The hotel has a wonderful Thai style. We very liked it. Our room was also nice and clean,but I think they will need renovating soon. We had a riverview, which was a man-made river just for design, it is amazing. The staff was OK, although this was the first hotel in Thailand where the staff did not smiled at all. The breakfast was also just OK comparing with other 4 stars hotels in Thailand. Although the hotel has some defect, I recommend because of the beautiful surroundings.

Located minutes away from Sukhothai historical park. The place is pretty. It has a ancient temple right at the back of the hotel. Rooms and swimming pool are very nice. Restaurant is good and affordable. Room price was quite reasonable, perhaps because of the low season.

Lovely hotel with a traditional style”

The Legendha Sukothai hotel is great place to stay, with clean and comfortable rooms set out in a traditional style. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is located a short distance from the Sukothai historic park, and offers bicycles for guests to get around. There is one temple ruin right behind the hotel. The pool is very clean and inviting, with a jacuzzi, but there are no steps for easy access, which prevented one of our party from taking full advantage. Unfortunately the only disappointment was the food - average at best, and only a limited menu was available. However, there is a traditional music and dance show each night during dinner.
