Like the name say: 'Le Charme', and it is like that !!”
If you look for a really nice hotel in the neigboorhood of the historical park of Sukhothai, Le Charme is really Charme !! Very cosy and clean. Good and service friendly staff, WiFi in the room (it was necessary of my work activities) and a big pool. As we were tired from travelling that day we 've ordered room service and that was also very good. No complaints, only good and for a very good price. The breakfast as well the next day. I hope to visit the resort again when I'm in the neighboorhood.

Ideal place to see Historical Park”
If you have come to Sukhothai to visit the historical park, then this is a great place. It is about 1 mile from the entrance. I suggest that you rent a bicycle during your stay. For me sunrise to 9 AM is the best time to see the park. I went to the park before breakfest and the crowds to take it all in and shoot photos. At 9 am as the buses arrive, I bicycle back to the hotel to enjoy breakfest. There is a nice restaurant across the street for dinner if you want a change from the onsite restaurant. To follow this agenda, you need to stay in the old town not the new town which is over 5 miles away. The staff are very nice and made me feel at home. As for the property, it is not the four seasons or even Le Meridien, but it is a beautiful property with reasonably nice rooms. One tip, when you are shown the room, make sure they show you how to control the air conditioner. For those of you who are old like me, the controller is about as complicated as programming you VCR!

Charming place, great value”
We checked in late at night and stayed till 5pm the next day. We rented the hotel bicycles to Sukhothai Historical Park which is just 10 mins ride away. Breakfast was unremarkable but otherwise the hotel was gorgeous, very tranquil and relaxing ambiance, the beds were comfortable, the staff were polite, a couple of rabbits and a hen roamed the grounds and provided photo opportunities. The owners seem to have invested in quality electronics in the rooms. All in all, a very nice stay. I would stay here again if we came back to Sukhothai.

Le Charme lives up to its name!”
We stayed at Le Charme and could not fault the place. Lovely "cottage" style rooms laid around a pond. The rooms were well equipped, comfortable, spotlessly clean, the staff helpful and the location perfect for the Historical Park. We took advantage of a special offer but the hotel is worth paying the full price for. We only had one night there, would have liked to stay longer as it was so nice, and to sample the pool and a massage in the spa. We had dinner in the restaurant and the meal was very tasty. One or two dishes were not available but as it's Covid time with few tourists around one can't expect a massively stocked kitchen. All in all we highly recommend it.

Too short of a stay, great accommodations!”
We were extremely satisfied with the stay at Le Charme and actually wished that we had stayed longer. Upon arriving, we were greeting by friendly staff! The environment is extremely peaceful and calming. The entire hotel was extremely beautiful! Hotel had bikes to rent for a very cheap price, which was great for exploring the Historical Park! We had the breakfast buffet in the morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great variety, good food, and good service. :) The only flaw was that the bed was uncomfortable.

Up graded room to premier deluxe when booking on line. Nice size room with balcony over the lagoon. ”
Close to historical park. We did not realise that the old and new sukhothai are seperate cities/towns. The airport is 45 minutes from anywhere. Would recommend cycling sukhothai for excellent bike tour for historical park which incorporates market tour as well. Restaurant across the road was good as the hotel is going through some renovations at time of stay. Not the meridian by no mesns but Quite a novel boutique hotel with its water surroundings. Breakfast was buffet stlye catering for all nationalities. You can hire bikes which are very outdated but gets you around.

Enjoyable”
We stayed at Le Charme for two nights beginning of Jan 2010. One plus of the hotel - one of the few accomodations at Sukhothai which you are actually able to book via internet, and honestly, Le Charme was one of the two which had rooms available when we were booking everything very last minute. After reading reviews, we expected a so-so hotel and were pleasantly suprised. To begin with, we got on the wrong bus from chiang mai to sukhothai and ended up arriving to hotel between 1am and 2am... Pleasant suprise, while the receptionist wasn't there, just the guard on the gates, our room key was ready and waiting for us. the setup of the hotel is really lovely, the pond, the walkways, room is spacious, with a balcony over the pond, very relaxing. Staff is ok, htere is a bit of a feeling of family run business sort of, not a professionally trained staff, but it did not bother us. the key advantage of the hotel - it really is close to Sukhothai ruins. You can rent a bike in the hotel for 50 thai baht a day (which is less than 2 USD dollars) and get to the ruins on a bike in roughly 20 minutes. Overall, we enjoyed the stay at the hotel, would have easily stayed there a few days more. Cannot make any comments on the distance to the New Sukhothai city, we did not plan on visiting it, so did not bother about it not being close. For those interested in visiting the Sukhothai ruins, I would definitely recommend this hotel. the bathroom maybe a suprise to some, but I would it quite convenient, and we actually found hard beds quite comfortable.

Lovely place near "The Old Stones" ”
Very nice experience in this beautiful Resort. The spacious, new room (2 big beds) with a small veranda in the front. Very near the pool and the Sukhothai Historical Park. In that order. Good breakfast for the farangs. Nice, friendly staff. Overall a tranquil atmosphere. Really to be recommended!

"Best I'v'e stayed in, in Sukhothai"”
I have stayed in many hotels in Sukhothai over the years, at last I'm pleased to say I've found one where I shall return again and again. The location is great, close to the old town and Historic Park and only a ten minute drive to the new town. The gardens, are lush and well kept, the rooms which sits on the lily ponds are well proportioned and tastefully furnished, the balcony a great place to sit with a cold one, The swimming pool is clean and the children's paddling pool close by was enjoyed by my young son. The peace and quiet of the evening, coupled with a good quality mattress, enabled me to get a really sound sleep. The staff were also a plus, very helpful, though they might be a struggle if you don't speak Thai. The negatives are trivial, but I will mention them anyway. The shower room is a little tired looking and the shower curtain was sticky and grim. Also the resort food and drink prices are high. A bottle of beer is over double what you would pay outside the grounds. However this is a small price to pay for the comfort and tranquility of this delightful establishment. 17/20. Will definitely return.

Perfect for the World Heritage setting”
One of the major reasons for visiting Sukhothai is the heritage site. This is adjacent to the site but not in the town itself - but by bikes close enough to give it a "country" feel and to meld with its rural surroundings. In this ways it is a relaxing and tranquil place just far enough away from the town itself without being isolated. It's not luxurious but it's also quite perfect for those few days to explore Sukhothai historical park/World Heritage site. Don't expect the sort of hotel standards one comes to expect in Thailand but do expect a type of rural charm.

Comfortable and close to the park”
The hotel consistes of single bungalows and rows of rooms built among lotus ponds, each with a covered deck area. You may think water equates to lots of mosquitos but that was not the case while we were there. The gardens are attractive as are the two hotel rabbits that inhabit the grounds. The rooms were smallish but clean but did not have coffee/tea making supplies. Bathrooms were modern but the shower heads spayed a fine mist, plenty of hot water and worked well but not what I'm used to. The pool is a decent size and partly shaded for day long sun or shade and is long enough to swim laps. Sukhothai historical park is less than a mile away. You can rent bikes from the hotel for 50 baht/24 hours or you can walk to the park entrance and rent for 30 baht until 6:00pm (the hotels bikes are slightly better quality). Biking is definitely the best means for getting around the park. Because of the location you are pretty much limited to eating at the hotel restaurant or the restaurant across the street or eat in old Sukhothai after/before visiting the park.

Very nice little resort in a great location”
The hotel is very close to the historical park Sukhothai, by bicycle only 5 minutes to the entrance. The hotel rents out bicycles and it's a great way to go around the historical park area. The setting of the hotel is in a quiet and very nice location and the bungalows are nice. Lovely swimming pool area. There is a little lake just in front and the hotel has a restaurant on the "lake side" which is very nice, apart from great food. Breakfast wasn't that impressive and general staff (apart from reception staff who was very nice and helpful) seemed kind of demotivated and tired. Also there was music (perhaps coming from the outside breakfast area but not sure) starting quite early in the morning which was loud enough to wake you up which was a bit irritating and I think that should be changed.

Lovely hotel, very well located, great service”
My girlfriend and I spent a night in Le Charme Sukhothai. Our room - actually a small individual house - was very charming and very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. We were able to rent a couple of bikes for 100THB a day, which proved extremely useful to visit the national parks. Highly recommended!

The place to stay in Sukhothai”
We wanted to see the historical sites of this ancient capital of Thailand (Siam). Just by chance we chose the Le Charme. Its layout of many individual cottages was great, very private. The grounds were beautiful with many flowering trees and schrubs. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The staff arranged to lead us to the diamond-eyed Buddha and had the opportunity to meet with the old monk the provided access to this Wat. We enjoyed every minute of it.

Lovely Surroundings. Close to Historical Park.”
We have stayed at Le Charme a few times. The rooms are comfortable and are decked out in a traditional style which seems to fit in with the feel of the Old City of Sukothai. The Hotel provides a decent buffet breakfast which is very welcome after doing the annual Sukothai Marathon at the end of June. If you rent a bicycle, you can then easily travel back and forth between the hotel and the Historical park, which is only about a mile away.

Lovely garden atmosphere”
Hotel lived up to the expectations I had from other positive reviews, it's very pretty set among gardens with ponds, the kids loved the pool, not big or busy, and within cycling distance of the Historical Park (not as close as I originally thought). Be aware that if you go for one of their hot deals you're likely to end up in one of their less nice rooms, we found our mattresses to be quite hard, rooms were 'average' luxury. I also found the restaurant to be a little bit underpar, food didn't live up to its 'hotel price tag', but as a new tourist to Thailand you might not notice, and there is no alternative in the area. Overall very satisfied.

A wonderful place to stay”
The Le Charme is a perfect place to stay when visiting the Historical Park. The resort is just lovely and across the road is a fabulous Thai restaurant.

Clean, friendly, good location”
We really enjoyed our two nights at the Le Charme Sukhothai. We traveled as a family of 2 adults and 2 children to this UNESCO World Heritage Site, and were welcomed with big smiles when we pulled up. The bungalow was nicely situated in a garden and next to several ponds for a peaceful surrounding. The room was clean and nice, but nothing fancy. The swimming pool was cool this time of year, but offered a beautiful and relaxing place to lounge in the afternoon after a trip around Sukhothai. Breakfast was a tasty treat, included in the Agoda room rate. Definitely a good value for the money. We would certainly return!

Tranquil luxury”
This was our latest visit to Le Charme and as always we weren't disappointed with its unique character and understated opulence. Whether staying for a romantic break or with young kids in tow you'll find the quality of the accommodation and surroundings equal to or better than more expensive hotels and resorts. The good news is.....this is only one of several such elegant and unique experiences on offer from the Serenata group. Enjoy the simple life in true style when you stay here.

Lovely hotel in a nice location”
The location of the Le Charme Hotel in Sukothai is very convenient for visiting the ruins of the ancient city, the room was comfortable, the gardens lush and the staff very very helpful. The hotel restaurant serves good food. It was great to have a swimming pool too. The hotel is quiet exception made when the neighbouring hotel has a loud music party...We really enjoyed our stay here. There is a young man in reception who speaks very good English and therefore made things much easier.
