Wow....wonderful hotel with wonderful staff!”
i took a gamble on this hotel, i don't normally prebook a room when i travel to thailand however due to my flight arriving in late i thought it would be better if i did it this time. so i booked 5 nights. my flight actually ended up being 4 hours delayed and i arrived in phuket at midnight, i called the hotel to ensure i could still check in and they were of course obliging and then spoke to the taxi driver to give directions. it was about 35 mins from the airport. on arrival i was greeting with a hand towel and cold water, shown to my room (which had the air con on already!) and told where breakfast was the next day. there was a mini bar in the room which was very well stocked and priced along with 2 free bottles of water replenished daily. the room was ultra modern and clean, large lcd on the wall, safe and adjoining bathroom which was beautiful. breakfast the next day was superb, 5 various hot dishes to choose from plus fresh eggs / omelettes on request, fresh fruit, hot coffee and tea, cereals to name just a few. the catering staff were very friendly and polite. the pool is nice too, not huge but it doesn't claim to be, the sun beds are very comfortable too with an umbrella should the sun become too hot. i recall actually on the 1st morning of sunbathing an member of staff must have known i was hot and came to deliver me a chilled complimentary glass of water - a very nice touch! the hotel is set back from the beach, about 5-10 min walk - turn left for kata beach or right for karon beach....a very pleasant short walk. my return flight was at 9pm and although a late check out is available at 100 baht per our after 12pm, i decided to just check out normally and lie by the pool all day, showering and changing by the pool until my transfer came at 6pm. i will definitely use lae lay suites again, it's a super place and the staff are exceptional. if i didn't know this was a 3 star i would easily say it was 4 star with 5 star service!

Great place to stay with excellent service”
we had a great stay at the lae lay suites. the location was great; far enough out for it to be quiet and with great views across kata beach. when we arrived we had been upgraded to the executive suite which had a balcony overlooking the pool. we we're able to relax and enjoy the view and have food and drinks from downstairs on our balcony. i think what made this place so great was that the owner was fab. he couldn't do enough to make our stay great including booking trips, showing us around and making sure we made it back to the hotel at the end of the night. if we we're to go back to phuket we would not hesitate in staying at the lae lay suites again.

Lovely new hotel- excellent value ”
Lae Lay Suites is a lovely, family-run hotel, with friendly staff, clean, fresh rooms and great pool. The hotel is an easy walk to the beach and is close to both Kata and Karon townships. Walking to Kata restaurants is very close. Nice to be away from traffic noise as the hotel is situated back from the road. Buffet breakfast was lovely - varied and delicious, with a good selection. As normal breakfast hours was 7-10am, we had a full day tour one day and enquired with the owner if we could eat at 6.45am as we had a 7.15am pickup, and we were delighted to see the full breakfast ready for us at this earlier time - just an indication of the extra effort that the owners went to, to ensure that your stay was enjoyable. We were also lucky enough to be upgraded, so our rooms were in the same block as the pool. It was great having the living and kitchen area also. The pool was lovely and clean - due to the heat, we found it was more relaxing to stay by the pool rather than walk to the beach. Thanks again for a lovely stay - highly recommended.

excellent for price”
From start to finish lae lay suites offered excellent service, any problems attended to immediatley. Staff friendly and always available to assist. Beach both Kata and Karon 15 mins walk. Hotel located close to all restaurants bars etc but far enough away to not have any noise issues. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone who has difficulty walking as very step hill from main road to hotel. For the price paid was extremely happy

amazing hotel with the most amazing sweet staff”
The staff were amazing they really made our stay special. The hotel is new so the rooms are beautiful and the hotel is in a great location where it is not too busy but still close enough to shopping and resturaunts. We will definately go back to Lae Lay!!! we were actually a little sad to leave

Loved It”
I've found that unless your hotel is located directly on the beach, that it is better to be away from the noise and congestion. To me ,Lae Lay is perfectly located on a hill overlooking Kata. Rent a motorbike and you have access to anywhere in a couple of minutes.Spacious rooms, good food, great staff, good views. I would like to say more, but until Agoda upgrades it's slow servers it is too painful to write reviews

Lovely hotel”
We stayed at Lae Lay Suites in March 2012. The rooms are nice and clean. We stayed in the Delxue Room and friends stayed in the Executive Suite Room. Only difference was that the Executive Room overlooked the pool (Deluxe Rooms are across the road above the Lobby) and it had a small living room. The bathroom was a little disappointing as it was pretty small and shower had concrete walls and no screen. We didnt wake up early enough to try the breakfast but I was told it was ok. Location is a bit far from the beach (hotel owned tuk tuk can take you there). Its a short walk to restaurants/bars/massages, etc. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

That free upgrade makes us happy. ”
Got the deluxe room as we originally booked for the first night..The room was big and even bigger bed with a comfy atmosphere and a balcony but the toilet condition might need a bit of touch up. Anyway, because of the confusion of our arrival date, make the hotel confused about our booking and sold our room away after the first night which make them give us upgrade to a higher category room with a better view as a better room( as told by the hotel staff).. The new room( executive ,i guess) is a 2 rooms joining with a sliding door. after the entrance you ll find a pantry area with fridge and microwave ,separate air conditioning from the bed room for this lounge area. There are 2 doors to access to the toilet and bath room, one from the lounge area and another one from the bed room. Bed room are in good size of the bed and a very nice view of Kata beach which you can see from the bed. The owner was very helpful no matter if we need to rent a motorbike or airport transfer. Staff are friendly and always smiling. It was once of a good place we will sure be back again

Hotel staff are the best”
The location was great, near the beach and bit off the main road. I loved our stay with Chen at lae lay. Chen drove us around on arrival to show us the area.

Lovely little modern hotel”
the staff at the lae lay suites were always friendly and helpful to us during our stay with them especially the lady in charge not sure if shes the owner/manager. the hotel itself is around a 20 min walk to the beach, but they do organise a tuktuk free of charge a couple times a day. they have free wifi available. the hotel is very new so everything is clean and modern.

Safe sanctuary on top of a hill”
the view from the rooms would've been nicer if its not blocked by another hill in front facing Kata beach. Nice few minutes walk to the center and beach front though the road is quite something you have to seriously take NOT take for granted as the traffic is a little fast specially the motorcycles that comes from either side which you could not see from a far. you'll understand when you get there yourself. Surroundings are fairly quiet so you could relax while sippping cold cans of shingha on the balcony of your suite.

Good”
Lae Lay Suites costs much more than the budget hotels. The location is within walking distance of a famous local "Pad Thai Restaurant". A lot locals have their meals at there and you will be amazed at the half prices. The staff was friendly to communicate with our taxi driver to schedule a pick up. Moreover, the staff instructed the kitchen staffs to prepare breakfast takeaway as we need to leave early to go to airport. The butler was also helpful to lift our luggage into our room. The facilities was well- furnished with sofa, coffee table, oven, dressing table etc. However, the fridge was not cold and the ants could enter to eat our grapes. The breakfast set was not as sumptuous as other hotels in Patong and Karon. Nonetheless, we are impressed by the up-scale facilities and friendly staffs.

Clean, quiet hotel, long walk to beach”
The hotel failed to pick me up at the airport as arranged, but I found a better deal in the mini-bus service. They admitted their mistake when I arrived and gave me and "executive suite" to make amends. The room was large, quiet and comfortable, with an outer room, a kitchenette, and a bedroom with bathroom. Lighting was poor for reading. Television had many channels in many languages but no guide and seemed not to have my favorite movie channels. I was sorry that there was no bath-tub, and the water was just barely warm in the shower. A very lovely place overall, with quick responses to my requests. Only drawback was distance from the beach - a 15-20 minute walk that involved walking on the side of a highway - not so nice at night or in the rain.

Definitely recommend ”
My partner and I stayed here stayed for a week and we absolutely loved this place. The staff couldn't have been any nicer or any more helpful. The hotel was quiet when we were there so it was easy to enjoy the pool area and the view. We had a pool view room and it was lovely so would recommend this room if available. Also staff offer a free ride to Kata or Karon beach which was useful, not sure if this was only because it was quiet season but it was a bonus point for us. Can't recommend this hotel enough.

Fantastic hotel for price”
From start to finish staff superb honest and friendly. For the price fantastic accomodation all issues attending to immediatley. Accomodation not in center but walkable to kata and karon but being on the hillside less humid than in town. Would not recommend the hotel to anyone who has difficultly walking as very steep hill from main road.

Beautiful rooms and super good service!”
Since we stayed here in the breaking point between low and high season the hotel didn't have that many guests. It's a rather small, family owned hotel and they made us feel like part of the family! All of the staff were supernice and helpful. The rooms are very modern and offers a lot of space. I think all the rooms have their own balconys which is off course a plus! The cleaning was great. The pool is perfect for doing laps or just relaxing. Maybe not the best one for families with small children since the pool is located one floor up and the railing on the side is very low. The pool area is also not very big, so it's definitely a perfect hotel for couples or buisness travelers (or as in my case traveling with friends). The hotel offers free WiFi and have a computer you can borrow in the lobby. The only donwside with the hotel is the location, since it's situated between Kata and Karon. I would guess it's around a 20-25 min walk to either of the beaches. The family was awsome and offered us rides to the beach, but otherwise we would have taken a cab. If you're thinking of renting a car or motorcycle, I would say you'd like the location. No bars around makes it a calm and peeceful place.

It was just average.”
Lae Lay Suites is at the outskirts of the beaches. It takes close to 20-30mins walk to either Karon or Kata beach. A little quiet area with a few local food stalls nearby. The room minimally equipped and the only negative part would be the lack of ventilation fan in the bathroom, making the bathroom stuffy if the door of the toilet is closed. The bathroom relies on the airconditioning from the bedroom for any sort of ventilation/air. Breakfast provided has limited choice but sufficient. The pool water is a little musky. Overall, a very mediocre experience.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
if you would like to get reach the lovely beach and not too crowded, i would reccommend you go directly to kata beach. and i chose to stay away from the beach area because it's too crowded. i recommend you guys to stay in this hotel which lovely word is very suitable for this hotel. this hotel provides the bus services to pick you up to the beach. i am very happy to stay here.

great views and friendly service”
Great place with very friendly service. The rooms are huge and have a balcony over looking the town of Kata. The walk takes about ten minutes to get to Kata and about 15 minutes to get to Karon. The walk isn't bad and takes you by alot of the best restuarants in Kata. The breakfast is tasty and the pool is okay, although we went to the beach and didn't spend much time at the pool.
